I love this layout. If when pretty sure this will be my next trailer
Updated footage here m.ua-cam.com/video/lrNYFLjUC3g/v-deo.html
Josh, I my wife and I love this model. Being originally from Michigan we would consider driving up to purchase one and tow it back to Texas via the entire Gulf Coast. Of course we will get in touch with you personally and get the deal set up. Just want to make you aware though that the picture in the lower frame is not the same trailer as you are reviewing as the kitchen is different. Have a great day and keep up your great work. Love your channel.
I'm aware, though it was the most current copy of that layout available from Rockwood at the time this was published. Their site/resources are often behind their product... sometimes by months (as is currently the case)
I'm 34 and know the song! Still play along to it on the drums every so often. Aaannnd now I'm gonna have it stuck in my head all day lol
Sidenote : This trailer is awesome. Love the position of the TV
I really like this model I’m buying one after first of the year if I can find one
When you're ready give us a shout and we'll get you camping! We have several on the way!
I’ll do that thanks
In travel mode, leave the bathroom door open, with the slide out in. You will be able to access the bathroom.
Awesome input -- thank you!!
Beautiful trailer. Amazing that a 21' trailer is coming in near 5,000lbs. Thankfully, Rockwood builds a sturdy trailer. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Mondegreen: Blinded by the light, wrapped up like a douche another rotor in the night.
Decades passed by before I looked up the correct words.
Left field ... that was out on Electric Avenue. Lol
Great.. now THAT song is stuck in my head lol
@@JoshtheRVNerd keep that sense of humor... I'm bringing my TT to you guys to sell.
@@travelingatourownpace8868 Awesome! TY for that opportunity!
Manfred Mann's Earth band.
Blinded by the light.
What did I win?
Chicken Nuggets. McDonalds has them, but you'll have to pair their processing fee as marked on their menu *cough*
Tv placement is good cupboard there counter is in the way it would be dead space
Wonder if a theater seat would fit in the slide out? Would be a nice alternative.
It absolutely would. I did something similar on a freedom express by Coachmen recently you can see here www.haylettautoandrv.com/inv/2020-Coachmen-Freedom-Express-231RBDS-Coldwater-T1809/ for reference!
That's the one my wife and i want. Hopefully we will be able to afford to get it. Great video.
All we ask for in return is the fair opportunity to earn your business when you're ready!
Love your videos. . . We have one of these. . . I really think that they should rethink the front window; not very useful.
Hilarious tour! Loved it!
Thanks so much! Be sure to subscribe. We have PLENTY more to watch :)
🤘🎟🎸🎤 Thanks for coming folks.
Waiting patiently for a 2020 Rockwood Mini Lite 2205S review!
It’s coming
Manfred Mann/Bruce Springsteen, nice job on that coach, small enough to park almost anywhere, yet big enough to relax in when the weather turns unfriendly.
The Manfred Mann version was popular when I was in college. It was only later that I learned it was a Bruce Springsteen cover. Until the internet came along, I never knew what it meant to be ‘revved up like a deuce’ 😆
I'm only 46 and know that song, so you don't have to be old to have good taste in music 👍
Yep, got it! Manfred Mann also of do-wah-ditty fame.
Good thing, they thought about a location for the CPAP machine, as I have Sleep Apnea that´s what I looked first where can I set up my CPAP machine.
I'm awaiting to see the new 2020 2204S layout with twin beds
We need to see that one in person to see what sort of hanging storage it may offer. On paper it appears painfully limited, but rockwood is good at sneaking things like that into different cabinets.
Saw this at the Hershey RV show. It's on our short list of potential couples trailers. Btw Josh .... yes, I got the Springsteen reference. :-)
Really good video, but it's not 4 wheel independent suspension. Sorry.
Upon what do you base that statement, Steve? It's not a leaf spring suspension connecting the axles. They all move separately. What would you prefer it be called?
Josh, great video as always! Why doesn’t Rockwood/Flagstaff use Azdel in these trailers? They use it in the Geo Pro/E-Pro. Also, in some of your other videos you mention being able to open the slide a little if you need to get to the bathroom during travel. Is that not possible with this trailer? Is than an In Command feature only. Sorry for all the questions, just a junior RV nerd trying to figure it out... 😆
Short answer? Because they don't need to. They're already light and hold together well so azdel's primary benefits are not really "seen" in a Rockwood. All you'd really see as a customer is a hit against the price tag.
Also... azdel changes how easily the wall's lamination process comes together and if you screw up the lamination, then the RV is in trouble from the start. You can't just take out a lauan panel, add an azdel panel, and use the same lamination processes. It's difficult and costly to swap over.
And when you factor in how Rockwood is the single largest producer of ultralites in the market today (and for many years now), then you realize they can't afford to get it wrong.
THAT BEING SAID...
It's not about need sometimes. Frankly.. it's about what a customer *wants* most of the time. The Roo series is NOW using Azdel in the walls. I think they're using it to "dip their toes in the pond" in a smaller market segment before potentially trying it in their bigger models.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thank you!
I am in the uk penny wise pound foolish very pleasing to your uk audience
Cheers! Thanks for enjoying our goofy caravans from across the pond!
By the by -- know where I might get a good bangers and mash? ;)
I do good bangers and mash your choice baked beans or onion gravy
@@pault1964 Onion Gravy for sure.
Yup, I heard ya 😎
Hey Josh, how many different manufacturers put in that water recirculating system in the shower, to allow it to warm up without wasting water?
I only seem to see it on the Rockwoods.
Rockwood does it the most for sure. Apex has an "Off Grid" package I actually helped develop thru dealer feedback to their product manager that includes the system as part of the upgrade bundle.
It's a specialized item not (yet) seen as a "need" by the general consumer.
Nice Manfred Mann reference!!
Love Bruce Springsteen
Top three trailers on my list. Does the interior color come in white like the RP 202?
Rockwood *JUST* released info on their new decors. One isn't WHITE, but a very light color with light flooring that looks SOOOO fun and bright
I was blinded by the light coming through the front window
If you have your Sirrius-XM stereo playing the Classic Vinyl channel, you'll know what Blinded By the Light is all about.
Are there TWO floor plans for the 2104S? I am interested in knowing if the kitchen area can be either 1) double sink in straight line with the cooktop/oven or 2) the sink is at right angle to the cooktop/oven (known as a peninsula arrangement). Thank you.
Not technically.. but *SORTA* lol
The 2104S is the 2104S. You have the option of various seating however.
Rockwood also makes a variant of the 2104S called the 2204S that has a Twin-to-Kingvertible bed. Other than the bed arrangement though it is EXACTLY the same as the 2104S. You can compare them here bit.ly/3evPk6U
It seems that an “early” 2020 2104S has the straight line sink (mimicking a 2019 version) and oven, while a “later” 2104S has the right angle configuration. Make sense/is this interpretation plausible?
@@cliffordmoseley3616 Almost all RV brands have an "Early" and "Late" version of their campers. Here's some more info on it ua-cam.com/video/j6wfOm8wMDo/v-deo.html
Yep, Revved up like a deuce" was so popular when I was in 7th grade. lol Never realizing that Bruce Springsteen wrote it. So we are all dating ourselves. Cute RV
I meant to add it is the 2020 year we are looking at.
Wished i had the money for one...and a truck to pull it and i would leave the cities and live in deserts and champ grounds...
Sadly, old enough to get the Bruce Springsteen reference 🤣

As always a great video Josh! Two questions if you don't mind. Is it possible to get a solar hookup on the roof to add permanent panels and was the commode plastic or porcelain? Plastic is terrible to clean.........
Roof solar *prep* is actually just recently an available option, though all rockwood trailers have side-solar plugs standard.
Mini Lites are plastic stools standard, but this is typically easily swapped. Give our team a call -- we aren't going to let a toilet stop us from shaking your hand lol
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thank you! I do appreciate you taking the time to answer. Even though I'm out of state I can promise you when its time to purchase my new RV Haylett is at the top of the list. Truly enjoy watching the videos they are always well done and cover the information that buyers want to know. Good Job.
Being blinded by the light was fine, but I loved the comment about the raccoon vs Russian sleeper agent
Great trailer. I'm wondering about hauling the Murphy bed in the up position. In a previous video you suggested in travel mode the bed should be down. Is this bed designed differently than the previous models? Thank you
I think you may have one of our Winnebago videos mixed up with a Rockwood video. Rockwood's murphy beds have *always* required the bed locked in the up position. Winnebago's murphy bed requires it locked in the down position.
And you couldn't have the Murphy bed in the down position with the slide out in. Something I wish Rockwood would change.
Haylett RV Thank you for the clarification!
@@bridgetebert1128 Keep in mind "bed in down position with slide closed" means the RV has to get *a chunk* longer, heavier, more expensive. All of which are likely opposed to the goals of most murphy bed buyers.
Yes. We live in the mountains and so wanting something light we purchased the microlight. I really like this trailer as a future upgrade. The lot we purchased from, did not mention if we should haul the Murphy bed up or down, even though we paid them $450.00 for ALL the info and BS walk around. I really appreciate your informative videos!
Hi Josh, off topic of this video but wanted to ask you about something new I just saw. Someone did a walkthrough at the Hershey show with a Winniebago rep of a 2020 24/27 Voyager trailer and wow is it nice. Wondering if you will be getting one soon? Thanks
*Probably.* Next week I get the opportunity to review them personally. I know the general jist of them. They're a "minnie plus PLUS" lol
Does it have a manual slide override crank, just in case.
Every slide system has some method of manual override. Thankfully, they're exceptionally uncommon to need. A deep slide like this does have a manual crank method.
@@JoshtheRVNerd thanks
This could be great for my little family. Is the bed easy to operate?
The bed can be done with one hand. It has a set of hidden has struts for easy up/down.
Perfect description… 10 pounds of sugar in a 5 pound sack!
This is a 2021 not 2020
I'm *old enough* to clearly get the *Manfred Mann/Bruce Springsteen reference* !! PREFER the *Manfred Mann* version!!! *GREAT NEW Rockwood* !!! *LOVE* the Rockwood Murphy bed!! #Rockwood #HaylettRV
What they said!
How deep is the dinette? 42”, 44” or more? How does this compare to any Winnebago Micro Minnie in terms of quality construction? Thanks!
*DINETTE:* We can have a team member hard-measure it for you, but you're in the ballpark with that 42-44" estimate.
*QUALITY:* While Winnebago continues to reign as as the statistical leader in quality at our facility, but Rockwood has *always* been haunting the top of that list as well. Rockwood is and has been the best selling laminated trailer out there for longer than I've been in this business. You don't achieve that level of success that consistently for that long of a time frame by putting out sub-standard product.
I've never claimed any of them to be perfect but if one of my own family members wanted an RV, then a Rockwood is certainly one of the brands in which I'd feel VERY comfortable with them purchasing.
In fact, my aunt has purchased three Rockwoods over the years based upon our advisory. An A-Frame, Mini Lite, and Now a Signature.
Hi does this unit or any of the Rockwood mini lites use Azdel? Thanks
Right now only the Rockwood Geo Pros and Roos use azdel. I have no information indicating they plan to expand the use of azdel in their lineup, but anything is possible in the future!!
Blinded By The Light by either The Boss or Manfred Mann. Did I win a t-shirt?
MM version way better!
@@Jpeterson7 Agreed.
Sadly, Old enough to get the Manfred Man reference. 😂
Why sadly? Means you caught a lot of good music others may have missed out on. Sounds fortunate to me!
Always the positive spin! That’s why you are a legend!
Written and recorded originally by Bruce Springsteen
Back in the day before autotune, and when they made good music. 😉🙃
Manfred Mann grin
How much is this unit?
Our supply is currently exhausted (though we have more coming of course). Our team at 800-256-5196 can assist you with this one!

Is this one solar prep?
Side: Yes
Roof: Optional
Hey Josh, is the length of the mattress 74''? If so, will an 80'' mattress fit? Thanks!
SOME Mini Lite murphy beds are now 80". This is *not* one of them. Still 74". 80" Will not fit as the bed couldn't lift (would hit the ceiling due to the extra mattress length).
This one is purpose built smaller and lighter while something like a 2507S will give you the longer bed and more space. You can spy one of those here www.haylettautoandrv.com/inv/2020-Forest-River-Rockwood-2507S-Coldwater-S1488/
That unit is actually available & mistakenly marked sold currently
@@JoshtheRVNerd The 2507S is AWESOME and I think it would fit our needs perfectly! I need the 80" bed and the 85" dinette/sleeper is also a must - need the length there too. At first glance, the outside kitchen seemed like overkill to me but I think we'd really enjoy it. Lastly, that awning is nothing 'short' of fantastic. Towing ratio comes in at 5471 lb/7700 lb = 71%
@@jeffsiegfried8944 Sounds like we found a winner! If you're ready now, then give our team a call at 800-256-5196 and we'll get you camping!
@@JoshtheRVNerd Josh, after showing the 2507S to my wife, she asked about bunk beds. They'd work better for us than just having the dinette for additional sleeping. That led us to the 2509S but we're back to the 74" Murphy bed, right? I either sleep on the dinette or consider other options. I'd appreciate any ideas you may have (we need bunks, four person dinette and a residential queen size bed). Thanks!
@@jeffsiegfried8944 2509S is a short queen, yes. Try this one: www.haylettautoandrv.com/inv/2020-Coachmen-Freedom-Express-257BHS-Coldwater-S1549/
Hey Josh, I know you're busy with the open house thing. Whenever you get a chance, can you let us know if automatic stabilizers is an option? Thanks #ListenToTheRvNerd
Power Jacks is available on a Mini Lite, but not auto leveling. Those systems are not typically available on RVs the size of a Mini Lite as they require too much operating room. You usually need something at least long enough to hold a full super slide to have enough room below for all the leveling stuff.
Good example is over at Cougar -- they went back to standard auto leveling again which is great. But their 22RBS -- the smallest model they make -- is too small for auto leveling and can only have power jacks just like these Mini Lites.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Hey Josh, we just came back from the largest RV show in the west coast. The 2020 Mini Lite 2104s now comes with with the automatic stabilizers, not sure if it's standard or an option. The stabilizers are called, PSx2 Dual Motor Power Stabilizer. I wish there was an option on here for me to share a photo , maybe I'll do it on your facebook. This is really cool! On your next update, make sure you show them off, because it's a big deal for folks like me.
ALSO I wanted give you a HUGE Shout out!!!! RV SHOW DEALS ARE A HUGEEEEE SCAM!!!!
When you posted this trailer on your site it was discounted to roughly about $22,000 and that wasn't the price, it had an "internet special too" which means it's far cheaper!!! Guess how much the RV SHOW DEAL is? $26,744!!! LOL!!!!! I know it costs more to have it shipped out to the west BUT I have a good feeling buying directly from you with the 3rd party shipper would be a lot CHEAPER than these scam artists!
"WE CAN GIVE YOU A BETTER DEAL IF YOU BUY TODAY! " Get out of here with that!
I'm in my mid 30's and I have to say, it's pretty scary climbing that ladder in the back. SO FOLKS, APPRECIATE what Josh does for us in these videos!
#ListenToTheRVNerd
Do you know if I would be able to replace my couch at the Murphy bed with this one I have a 2 104DS can I replace that couch with this couch if you know thank you.
This is a bit tough to read without any sort of basic punctuation. Are you wanting to update to the recliner-style sofa seen here in your existing camper?
If so, then it should able to be done through your local rockwood service center.
Haylett RV Sorry about that, but yes. I have a 2016 Rockwood 2304DS and would like to update to this recliner couch.
Lol, I memba that song!
Would a 6’2 guy have headroom in the shower ?
You and I are about the same size. I can say with confidence: Yes. Here's a pic of me in the shower of a Mini Lite for reference: haylettautorv.level5advertisinginventory.com/console/photos/inventory/large/974b134729cee38.jpg
These have a 6'6" wall which usually means your head needs to be IN the bubble, but rockwoods have that mini vaulted ceiling which opens things up pretty nicely in the shower area.
Haylett RV Thank you for taking the time to answer my question I wish we lived closer to Haylett RV, seems like a great dealership, but I am in Florida .
