    Why do the calories not add up with the macros at 5:33? It should be like 280 for your recipe and 340 for halo!

    • @MinaAyoubChef
      @MinaAyoubChef  4 роки тому +82

      So the Halotop macros are straight from their packaging. It's lower cause of the fiber in the carbs that they don't count.
      As for mine, honestly, I copied everything from MFP but now I see it's off. All the ingredients are in MFP but it looks like it had wrong input for carbs.
      Calories and protein ARE CORRECT.
      I gotta stop trusting MFP

    Here in Sweden it is almost imoossible to get fat free whipped cream. I made it myself : 10-15g Gelatin, water, fat free milk powder. Whip it till it is done :), season as you like.
    I am excited how it will turn out in the recipe. It is sitting in the fridge right now

    PROTIP: Use a can of fat free Reddi-Wip instead of fat free Cool Whip! It's 1/3 the calories of fat free cool whip and tastes better (I've tried both). It makes the entire 2 pints of ice cream come out to only ~535 calories. Squirting out an entire can of fat free Reddi-Wip is exactly 170g, and the ice cream texture is great with it.

    1. I hate to be negative, but HaloTop is trash. Tried 3/4 of their “best” flavors and the consistency and taste is lacking so hard.
    2. FairLife is BY FAR the best low calorie, high protein ice cream there is. Texture of real ice cream. Taste of the flavors are spot on. Melts like real ice cream. Ready to eat straight out of the pint. Just unreal.

    Looks great - I will definitely try this. Halo Top is pretty expensive for the icy consistency. A lot of the protein ice creams I have seen on You Tube look like foamy whipped cream.Commercial ice creams use both types of gum so it makes sense that the texture is more authentic.I remember, back in the day (70s-80s), fat free evaporated milk was commonly brought to almost freezing temperature and whipped as a whipped topping substitute, so definitely will give a rich texture. An awesome looking finished product.

Trying to figure out low calorie ways to add fat and protein to try and reduce freezing point since lower freezing points lead to smaller ice crystals. Bro, the fat free lite whipped topping is 20 calories per serving, that’s 9g. Just that puts you at 380 calories!!
    Non fat evaporated milk is 25 calories per serving, so just those 2 ingredients you’re at 1,060 calories, without the protein powder.

      What the hell kind of NF evaporated milk are you buying that hast 680 calories on 235ml. Regular evaporated milk doesn't even have that many calories, how would the lower calorie one have more?
      I recommend you take another look at the serving sizes for the NF evaporated milk there, buddy. I'm gonna go ahead and guesstimate that a serving size for the NF evap. milk is roughly 30-35ml. Which would make it to roughly 65-80 calories per 100ml. Which sounds correct since the regular one should have about 130-140 calories per 100m or so.
