Lyla is so talented! (Obviously takes after her mama!). I love that she has so many interests it’s refreshing to see something other than a “device” in kids hands these days! I’m a collector of hobbies… sewing, crocheting, knitting, painting, any & all crafts are welcome. My daughter (50yo) thoroughly loves my craft room and spends most Sundays here (we also have an extensive workshop for woodworking she enjoys!🥰😋
Your cards are a breath of fresh air (coming from a graphic designer - you get composition, layout and color combinations so well!). Many card makers add too much!
Lovely projects made with the kits from HA. I love that the die cuts for the butterflies cut the antennae so delicate looking. Some really great techniques. Thanks to you and Lyla.
The tip on getting the wings to stay flipped up even if sent in the mail solved a big problem for me. I’m crazy about butterflies like this but have been reluctant to send in the mail. Always the fabulous tips. Thanks!

This is an amazing technique. I just purchased a die with butterflies and small flowers, but there is no stencil. So I cut my own from some heavy clear acetate. I then did the dry embossing to get that "pillowy" effect. Then used my small stencil brushes to add a few diff colors to the butterflies and flowers. I am so pleased with the way it turned out. Your video was awesome and inspiring and convinced me I was on the right track. Thanks for all you do and share with us. You're the best!! P.S. I used colored card stock to start. 😊 ❤
Great stenciled cards, I had seen the HA email so had a look at the designs. You stepped them up as always! Love Lila’s use of the stencil to emboss the images first. I loved your last card and must see if I can put that idea to use! TY so much, Jennifer!

Stencils have great potential, as you show, and a good price point. Sometimes beautiful sets are beyond my budget but stencils are more affordable. Hero Arts were the first stamps I ever had and still love the company.

Hi, Jennifer: I am interested in some of that vibrant blue card stock. Seems to be a challenge to find the bold cornflower blue, periwinkle blue, Adriatic blue shades. I did check your list here and didn't see any, and there isn't any on the Hero Arts site. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks so much. (And by the way, I am pretty frugal - but I think this Hero Arts classic kit is a really great deal. I am debating; I don't need any butterfly stamps...but also can you ever have TOO MANY butterflies and flowers? These are darling!)

When you adhered the patterned butterfly flat I almost cried. I would have only glued the centre so the wings could stand up.
