Traxxas MAXX V2 WideMAXX - Belted Sledgehammer Tires Install / First Run

So I went to my local hobby shop Larry’s RC in Shelby Twp. And picked up some belted sledgehammer tires for the Traxxas MAXX . In this video I go thru the install process and go over the experience .

Question for you where did you get your 10 mm adapters?

They are Hot Racing they are made for the erevo which i needed since i have steel cvd's so if you have the stock plastic driveshafts you will need these :

Does it still wheelie pretty easily?

It is about the same but the rotation in the air is less so backflips take a bit more of a run up and triples are kinda a no go with the belted tires. With that said i do like them for running around the yard as they come unglued much less often then the stock ones. A really good tire for the Maxx are the Dboot LP Backflips they are amazing on the maxx just need to grab some hex extentions from hot racing Thanks for watching 👍

Why is it cogging in the grass? Stock electronics? Is it geared up at all?
