I gave that same guitar a try :(the tuners weren’t right and couldn’t keep in tune I was very disappointed my set up man agreed and I sent it back to Amazon it was the G String watch for it Jimmy S

Like I stated before, usually tuning issues are not directly related to the tuners themselves (it can happen of course but rare) unless the tuner is actually broken and won’t hold tension. Most tuning issues are due to the nut slots with the string binding…or slots cut to high/low…factory strings are also not your friend…😎

I too have been getting power outages of late, the longest being 12 hours and of course all my devices were nearly out of charge so for entertainment I was stuck with a book and a torch!

Nice guitar Jimmy. Looks great and the pickups aren't thin sounding. I would personally like it if the pu's were black. Speaking of black, that black LP style that they have looks great. Hi Tim…really appreciate your stopping in. I would prefer the pups to be black as well, and apparently the newer models are! That said, pickup color is not really a big deal to me, but you’re right…with the other hardware being blacked out, having black pups would be ideal. A shootout could be in the future for sure…😎🤞

Hey Jimmy. I picked up one of these from Amazon back in July of 2022 for under $100.00.. Truth be told, it has spent most of its life in its gig bag. It gets fantastic reviews from all over the 'net, but for some reason, it just never jumped out at me. My new Fireflys and Earts tend to get the bulk of my attention.
Hi MB…yes, I totally understand how this can happen. I have enough guitars that simply don’t really get the play time they deserve….take it out of the gig bag next time you get the chance and give it a little workout…it will thank you….😎
I love mounted into the body strays. If it was SSS I’d be all over this.

Hey Chief, how's it going. Hope all is well with you, and yours. As I understand it, these Fesley's are made in the same factory that the import Fenders are made. Not sure of the veracity of that statement, but it's what I have heard. Not a bad sounding guitar, especially at such a low price. The gig bag leaves a bit to be desired, but it's better than the non padded ones a lot of the inexpensive guitars send out. The strap didn't look half bad either.
Now in other news, my FF338 Pro in the MGB finish was a big hit with my tech. He was surprised at how well the humbuckers sounded as well as the fit, and finish being flawless. He's seen all three, and is impressed. The hum was fixed by simply tightening the output jack. So now it's up and running while sounding fine as frogs hair. I also got notified that my $40 refund has been done, and I should see it on the card within a week. So now, my "Triplets" are all up to snuff, and sounding great.
I really would like to see them put out an LP and an Explorer style in that MGB finish. Fingers crossed! One thing I've noticed on their website in the product description is that not all of their models come with the SS ball end fret ends. I wonder what's up with that? If memory serves me correctly, only one of the LP styles that they have came with the SS fret. I was under the understanding, perhaps mistakenly that they were transitioning all of their models over to SS frets across the lines. One thing I thought of is that the models posted are older stock made prior tto the transition to SS for all their models. You have any information on that?
Anyway, nice video. Oh, one more thing. I really hate the headstocks on the Indio/Monoprice guitars. That parrot beak is distracting, and ugly. No matter though, it's not like I'm being forced to buy them. See you in the next video. QM3 Snarky.
Hi Snark….yes I have heard the same things, however we all know that many guitar manufacturers end up using the same plants as others as well. The gig bag is fine…not as heavily padded as the Monoprice bag, but not just a dust cover either. Glad to hear you got your Triplets all sorted out and good to go! I really have no knowledge about the latest drop of LP style guitars. Apparently some are the from different plants without SS frets and locking tuners, Alnico pickups and some are?

How can they do this to me right after I bought the Triplets? Showed it to my girlfriend and all I got in response was a low growl. Gonna be a hard sell....

Sounds like a nice, solid guitar, Jimmy! As you’ve said, it is CLEARLY not as highly spec’d or as fancy as some of the recent Fireflies or higher-end Monoprices, but it’s definitely UNIQUE in its aesthetics, and it sounds like it’s got a very good neck and pickups!!! I’ve honestly thought about selling my Cali DLX Plus because the Ash body, while maybe not quite as heavy as a Les Paul, is the heaviest guitar I have at 8.5 lbs, and it’s NOTICEABLE compared to my new 7.4 lb FFTL or my 7.3 lb IYV IP-350. I dunno… How heavy would you say is too heavy? It’s amazing how noticeable even a 1 lb difference can be with a guitar!

Around 9-10 lbs is usually my upper limit..after that it can really get uncomfortably heavy especially on stage while standing. My Doubleneck is fine for a couple of songs, but at around 14 lbs, that’s about its limit while standing…😎

I performed on stage for a lot of years PG….but recently, no. However, I have stood playing a number of these guitars in the studio just to test weight, different straps and jam with some close friends and fellow pickers…finding that anything over 9 lbs or so simply becomes “uncomfortable” after about 15 minutes…of course I am also a bit older these days as well…😎
I have a "super-Strat" (Ibanez RG570, I think) but it's a H-S-H configuration.
which is not to say that either of us has the "real" super-Strat version, lol.

Hi Jimmy; Have you tried a Zuwei Semi Hollow Body TL Series with the Bigsby style trem? It's a Thinline Tele style guitar with a Bigsby style trem.
I looks great, gets some pretty good reviews, but I don't see that you have reviewed it unless I somehow missed it.

Hi James…I have reviewed a number of Thinline style Tele’s including a few from Firefly, IVY, and Eart, but have not had the chance to get my hands on a Zuwei.
As I stated in this video, seems every day there is another brand of guitar popping up on Amazon and it’s tough to do them all…😎

Why do some of the guitars have more sun and some have more black. The pictures on Amazon look to have more black than sun.
Hi Chitownkid…thanks so much for watching and commenting. Most of these companies use “stock photos” which in most cases are not very flattering in my opinion. Lighting/camera/photographer also very wildly. That and the end finish can and does vary from within the same model and batch. Appreciate your stopping into the channel! 🎸👍
@JimmyStewart1 Nice find, review, and playing! What would be your preferred action from the stock 2.0-1.5mm? I also noticed that you didn't use the trem, so I'd wonder how stable that is.
Fesley also makes a very decent LP style guitar that I just can't buy with its over-the-top 12 fret marker that spells out "Fesley".
The company does always gives great value with the included gig bag and strap!

My preferred setup is 9’s with between 1.25 and 1.50 on the bottom E and around 1.25 on the high E…this is actually setup pretty close to my preference, just slightly higher than what I like but the setup is for “most” which is what it should be. I know you've reviewed some Grote semi-hollows; would you consider doing the same for their LP models? They said the LPYS-006 models now all come with SS frets even though their website is not yet updated for that. I'm currently checking one out now...

@@JimmyStewart1 Got it now! The LP pics in this video don't really have enough detail to show the spelled out "Fesley" 12th fret marker. It wasn't until I viewed some closeups when I was considering LP types that I saw it - really wished they just went with a plain double dot marker. The FST does this right IMO!

Yes, plain black “dot” markers on a maple fret board are my preference as well. I have no qualms about “special” style 12th fret markers, but can understand why some would prefer not to see them. My Brian May copy (like the original Red Special) has the triple dot markers on the 12th and 24th and it’s a short scale!!
Mine came with a fat trem block it’s a good charvel copy .

Hi Bobby…thanks for watching and commenting. Sorry to hear about yours…tuners on mine are fine. Usually tuning issues has more to do with nut issues than the actual tuners. If the nut slots are cut to high/low or the strings are binding in the slots. I will assume your setup guy did a restring and checked the nut/bridge and truss adjustment? Anyway…sorry to hear.
