The Lexus
Its a tough one, I've driven the LBX and Skoda but not the Jeep. LBX has a nice interior but small package, the Skoda I would say drives better but the interior is pretty poor. I can't comment on the Jeep

Owning the LBX for 2 months, the best part is the chassis of the car. It is much stronger then the little 3 cyl engine can provide, which lets you maintain speed around corners and have some fun. The intelligent functions are very useful in traffic jam and cruising on the highway. Even if you floor it hard frequently, it still gives you extreme fuel efficiency comparable to a PHEV.
It is not fast, but definitely fun and comfortable to drive😆.
It definitely handles the best out of these three cars
Lexus for me - am actually considering it.. Kamiq probably best all-rounder but it doesn't shout luxury. Agree Jeep best exterior.
It doesn't shout luxury from the badge, but it provides it in the experience

Quite an enjoyable review, guys! Thanks for the energy and the genuine "chat like" discussion. My pick for luxury would be the LBX, it just feels premium, more planted, and the interior is superb. As a good allrounder, the Kamiq is a very good car in its own right but I can hardly link that to luxury. And it's not about the badge, I prefer it to an Audi Q2 (so overpriced).

I test drove the hybrid jeep a few days ago, I loved it. Sure, objectivly speaking, the kamiq is a superior car, but the jeep has charm and quirkness that made me like it way more, it had enough space for 3 average size adults to fit it, suspension was soft and supple, the hybrid system was smooth, but it's lacking power (my daily is a significantly faster car).
I'm not from the UK, and in my country the lbx Costs 30% more than the jeep.
same, in my country there is almost 10k difference between the Jeep and the Lexus.
Depending on how you spec the cars there is a surprising overlap in the prices of an LBX or Avenger in the UK
Less problems to expect with the Lexus, that's for sure
Almost had the Skoda Kamiq Monte Carlo but Skoda kept pushing the delivery date back further and further so after 6 months with 6 still left to wait I cancelled, however with the MC spec, in blue with the 1.5 engine it's better than the other two I feel
Well in won the test in a lower spec, so we would have to agree the MC trim and top engine would only improve it's standing
Skoda checks all the boxes but is the car no one dreams about. It just lacks appeal and personality, and this obviously reflects the low resale prices.
I'm not sure anyone dreams of any small crossovers, but they can be quite nice to own and use every day

If I compare the price of a base Yaris Cross (non Hybrid), I would be at the same price of the Skoda Kamiq, paying 25% extra for a hybrid version is worth it in the long run, fuel savings, not running your engine when idling, saving your brakes etc., then for 20% more I can get the Lexus LBX which has more equipment, better sound isolation, better infotainment, more powerful engine etc. If you match LBX equipment to Yaris Cross equipment it would match at the 2nd level at best which you are at 10% difference at that point.
There is no non-hybrid Yaris cross in the UK
@@BuckleUpShow There are still some in the EU, but yes, Toyota is going away with the non Hybrid versions.

@BuckleUpShow The Kamiq is a worthy winner of the comparison.
The think the Jeep is the best of the 3, despite being the least good. The Alfa Junior might fix a lot of the issues, it feels a bit roomier, shame it uses so many standard Stellantis switches when it’s supposed to be the posh one though.

I know it’s flawed. But I’m a Jeep man. I will take the flaws for the fun they provide. Having had to drive Toyota products for work, I absolutely detest them, especially the CVT.
We wouldn't describe a vehicle that essentially came fourth in a three-car test as just "flawed" 🤣🤣🤣

@ I’m yet to drive the avenger, however; that said. I have a WK2, JL & BU. That have all been slated for one reason or another. They just have some much personality.
I covered 70K in 7months in a Prius, it broke constantly. I absolutely loathed that car. I did 30k in a Corolla in just under 3months which wasn’t as bad, but still not great.
Toyotas are pretty reliable but I do agree they are pretty much the most boring choice in every category. Personally wouldn't buy one just because I find them so boring pretty much every other brand is more exciting to me idk why but its true 😂

@@BuckleUpShow supra is just a BMW, GT is slow, low quality and actually unstable in the wet. The land cruiser is decent. I haven’t driven the GR Yaris yet.
