I’m picking my Takumi Design LBX up on Tues 10th Dec. I’ve had a Corolla Hybrid (2.0l GR Sport) and two Yaris Hybrids (Design and GR-Sport) and I’m very giddy about my LBX. Had two extensive test drives and whilst it feels very familiar to me with its Yaris Cross roots it also feels a cut above all my previous Toyotas. That LBX Interior is truly something else 👌🏻🙂
@@autogefuelI was skeptical of Hybrids originally until I tried one, and then bought my Corolla. Completely on them entirely ever since. Same with the LBX, was skeptical if Lexus was able to harness that brand luxury and style into such a compact package, completely sold me on that too 😂
@@mikesanders5433 its great technology i just wish they had a liiiiittlebit more power, 200 would be more than fine, especially if the car gets a bit bigger
200.000 miles in eco mode, never changed it in my ux.... Ordered the lbx Now and will drive, also in eco mode.... That's another thing than what you say....
Thank you for the to-the-point honest review, which is what I expect from Dutch people. I’ve test driven this car - it’s comfortable and well-built, but the eCVT noise and power are indeed disappointing. I’m looking into it to substitute a 2013 diesel VW Polo, and the Polo seems to provide more emotion with the manual gear box, but it lacks all the technology and new security features that the LBX offers. The back seat space is nonexistent, but works with kids. The issue is that all other premium manufacturers are abandoning this segment, e.g. Audi killing the A1 or Mercedes the Class A, so this is the alternative if you don’t want to go for a Mini. The fake of Lexus being mostly problem-free is a significant plus, but in my case, I’d be doing 10km city, 45 highway and another 10km city. Do you think this car would be a good fit for that trajectory, considering that I’d be travelling alone? Would it be economical as well? Thanks!
for that usecase this is a very good car and you will be more than fine doing weekends away or even a small holiday in a pinch in this as well. you could ask yourself if you need the luxury of the lexus and go for the Yaris Cross instead and save some cash. You could look into a Q3 maybe if you want to keep it premium or perhaps even a BMW X1 depending on where you live and the tax-situation there, you could also go 2nd hand and get a good deal on something and accept that its a bit more expensive to run
Slick top roofs are better because the car's more rigid, less chance of walter infiltration, rust and electrical problems, it's cheaper to buy and maintain, your car's cabin will be less noisy, no sun damage etc.
Does this LBX have the same horrible electronic interior handles like bigger NX? Or maybe Lex give up on that horrible idea to change something which was working fine as it was??

Why no panaromic roof on the Lexus?
dont know, it didn not come on this press demo
I don’t think it exists as an option, which is a serious let down for this price tag and brand status.
I have made a test -drive and i am very fond of this car but unfortunally have no open roof so i do not buy it ....

@@55victorf what did you like most about the car though? did you also try the Yaris Cross?
if not thisone, what others are you considering instead?
Wtf? What a terrible take. I have a moonroof on my car and it's really not worth it.

@@user-uq7io2os3r yep same electronic ones
I love those handles, so unique!
No idea what is the problem. They are more ergonomic than normal ones. They work fine and don’t seems to break or freeze.
