- Cheap air brake bleeder, will it get the job done on our old Chevy?
These things range from $150 to $1,000!! Will one of the cheapest kits get you where you need to be?
I’ve been fighting with some trapped air in the new lines, no amount of bleeding can get rid of it, new brake lines, new master cylinder, new porpotioning valve, lots of new parts leave lots of trapped air. No amount of vacuum or old school bleeding would do the trick. Did this??
Yes, I agree with Maggs, hard to bleed in the vehicle, but some have good luck with it!
To add more fluid unhook air bleed air off take cap off then bleed air again and the blader will open up so you can add alot more brake fuild
That’s a good tip! Thanks Doug
I bought one ( Vevor) that has no instructions. Could you scan yours and send it to me?
You at least got some instructions with yours! All I got was a list of parts? What does the pressure regulator control, is it the air pressure or fluid pressure? Many thanks for posting this video! Chris B.
Fluid pressure Chris
@@shortcutgarage Ahhh! I have just been having another look at this chinese thing! The vertical pipe connection on the top of the pressure regulator is for the air in, that is what the regulator is for, it regulates the pressure going in to the pressure tank, this pressure then "squeezes" the rubber bag full of brake fluid to give the fluid pressure into your master cylinder, you would have been better getting another spare lid for your master cylinder and plumbing the pressure pipes into that than using the bendy chinese crap thing they supply, my version is by Vevor, but the same thing as yours, but mine does not have the shut off valve at the connection to the master cylinder like yours has, an essential valve unless you like getting brake fluid spraying everywhere, it can all be modified to work, but why dont the chinks do that before they sent these things out, no idea what the inlets is that you ,and I have used as an air inlet, there is also no way I can see of blowing the rubber sack back down, you have to use a poky thing to push it down, with the risk of puncturing it! Good luck! Chris B.
@@453421abcdefg12345 chinks😂😂 haven’t heard that in awhile. Your showing your age. Just reading that will send a millennial or zoomer looking for a safe space.
Got the correct master for front rotors
It’s correct. Work like a hot damn too!!
The adapters are useless, mainly gm, impossible stop to leak, the coiled hose the same, replace for a good quality hose, the only ok of the kit is the fluid container
You are spot on about the awful coiled pipe, it ends up having masses of air trapped in every coil! The only way to get it out is to hang the thing up and then bleed the bleeder, a straight pressure pipe would be much better. Chris B.
In another video someone said it’s junk as the tank stains the brake fluid, can angina confirm this ?
Did you bench bleed the master cylinder? It's a bastard trying to get the air out of them conventionally pumping the pedal.
I did both actually, very frustrated lol. But all good now
IMHO, vacuum systems shouldn’t be used on brake systems, particularly older vehicles. The brake system uses a ‘positive’ hydraulic system. Seals that protect one way, may not protect the other way.
I like your thinking, I’ve never really thought about it that way. Makes a great deal of sense, that’s likely why I had no luck with the vacuum method

My question is, why do you buy a chip one, get 400 and buy a good one mf
All I needed was a cheap
One. Used it once and sold it for what I paid for it.
