Also a question I would love to see a video about is:
If you work for a married couple and one of them is cheating on the other, do you tell the spouse?

Are employers legally allowed to "discriminate" or " be selective" about things like Religion, or gender etc? For example can an employer request someone be a Muslim or Christian? even political affiliation could a politician make sure their potential staff support them?
Also do butlers need HR and who does this?
How do days off and weekly hours actually work?

In the UK all employers must follow employment law - private and public it is exactly the same. If a butlers employer chooses not to follow these and their employee makes a complaint they could be prosecuted.
Having said that if someone is working as a Valet where they are responsible for dressing the client it would obviously be inappropriate for them to be a different gender. I think it would be unlikely a tribunal would think in these circumstances it would be unreasonable to select someone based on gender.
There are also some considerations for example an Israeli cannot travel to Saudi Arabia so even if a Saudi wanted to employ them it would not be possible.
As a butler you are normally employed by a company that is owned by the employer so they do often have an HR team.
Working hours well that is a question like "how long is a piece of string" sometimes you work very long hours and sometimes you don't work much, with luck it works out about right for everyone. I would say that it is best practice to get your weekly hours in writing in your contact.

How does being a butler to a lottery winner or someone retired differ from a ceo or a celebrity?
