    I really like the thought process and the fact that we are focusing on fundamentals against opponents with weird openings like a real game. I appreciate that you made a mistake and showed how you recover from that

    Game 2, that's what I was talking about, you take your opponent off the beaten path where even under 1000 players can get the upper hand against masters for a time at least. That's the lesson from this game, checks captures and threats applies to the opening as well :)

    Great videos, explaining thought process and principles off the top of your head while playing is fantastic. You mention the value of analyzing games - do you have a video that gives an overview how to use the analysis tool?

    Hey Nelson, great Video, I just found your Channel and Love it! At 5:00, what is the reason for not taking the pawn on g2, trapping the white rook on h1. I don‘t see how white could defend or punish that. Just curious if taking the bishop is better or not, I‘m still learning ^^

    • @beginexport2861

      Even i too have the same doubt!!!

    • @Kate_08
      @Kate_08 2 роки тому

      It is because he bishop would be at the corner of the board and white could easily take it back or trap it. If the bishop doesn’t take a pawn he will only be up 2 points rather than 3 which would just be a clean bishop

    nelson does chess need talent? because many haven't got the title of GM (like me) in modern times, in the past like Bobby Fischer (2700 rating) Prodigy, do we need talent?

    • @ChessVibesOfficial
      @ChessVibesOfficial  3 роки тому

      I think to become GM, yeah, you need some level of talent. That being said, someone with minimal talent who devotes tons and tons of time (like many many years) of hard studying can probably still become a GM.

    • @skwzbxx69
      @skwzbxx69 3 роки тому +2

      @@ChessVibesOfficial What does "talent" mean here? To me, if you're talented, you're really good at something. I'd think to be a chess master means you are talented at chess regardless of how you got there.

    Great! I have learnt alot form your channel till now, increased my rating points +100 in a week, soon Will be a good chess player,... A question how much time it takes for a good beginner to good amateur (1600 likely) ? I am playing 10 rapid games daily and doing 30+ (however somtimes 60 to 80 too) tactics daily, will it work ...and yeah thanks alot :)

    • @ChessVibesOfficial
      @ChessVibesOfficial  3 роки тому

      Hard to answer that question because for some people with real talent they can do it in a few months, but for others it can take several years.

    Wonderful videos, you have taught me a lot and you have a beautiful demeanor. Question, at 41:46 did you make a mistake moving the bishop, could he not have just captured the pawn you had been defending with his queen?

  • @robdolby2286

    At 13:25 why did he take with rook and not the knight ? Anyone know ?

    • @XexJJ051301
      @XexJJ051301 3 роки тому +1

      Rook takes forces a rook trade (or opponent moves his rook off the open file which is a weakening of the position), as he is up material he wants to trade down to a simpler endgame. If you are up material, it’s best to trade pieces. If you are down material, it’s best to trade pawns. Notice he isn’t pushing his pawns at all until everything is off the board and then he ends up winning due to queening a past pawn.
