Yeah, Blum’s range is INSANE. I’m not just even talking about how characters like Wolverine and Goblin sound completely different, but if you’ve ever heard his Baraka voice in the newest Mortal Kombat games, he doesn’t even sound human. It’s insanely impressive, and I can only hope we keep getting fantastic performances from him in superhero stuff.
I will say, Steve Blum is to the Green Goblin, what Mark Hamill is to The Joker.

@@sombrashadow0013 I think it's not so much that Green Goblin is his defining role, I'd argue his most defining role for a lot of people is Spike in Cowboy Bebop, as much as when you think of Green Goblin, it's his voice that comes to mind. Like I would say I think of Luke Skywalker first with Hamill, but when I think of the Joker's voice, it's Hamill's I imagine. Same with Blum's voice for the Green Goblin.
Worth noting, Tombstone is not voiced by Keith David, it’s Kevin Micheal Richardson, David only voiced him in the first episode.
Obviously Tombstone was a replacement for Kingpin, cause I believe Marvel got the rights back with Daredevil, so Sony couldn’t use him.

Ned Leeds was framed. Hobgoblin was always Roderick Kingsley.
FULL STORY: Hobgoblin's creator Roger Stern always intended on him being Roderick and set up some clues and some red herrings but left the title before he could finish it. Subsequent writers either didn't know or didn't like the answer so they started setting up their own stuff, until one day an editor said "just make it Ned Leeds", not realizing a) Leeds was a red herring, and b) Leeds had been killed a month or two prior in a Spidey/Wolverine crossover. So for years Hobgoblin had an unsatisfying ending until Stern came back to fix things and reveal it was always Roderick and Leeds was one of his many brainwashed shell-game doubles.
The Green Goblin episode has two of my favorite Spidey quips:
“Can I come in this way, or do I have to break my own window?”
“Sorry, I make it a rule not to partner up with anyone green, or you know…psychotic.”
My favorite isn't for a few episodes yet, but it's always: "Okay well at least Flash isn't evil... okay, at least Flash isn't possessed by an evil alien symbiote... at least as far as I know..."
I remember there's a side plot to the couple that Spiderman saves by webbing them to the lamp light, I'm pretty sure they later can bee seen go on dates and stuff on quick shots or in background

Green Goblin is my favorite comic book character ever (thank Willem Dafoe for that), and I love how they handle him in this series. Catalysts is my favorite episode solely because it's a perfect introduction to him.
EDIT: I also appreciate Hobgoblin, but there's only one Hobby in THIS dojo and it's Roderick Kingsley.

Peter MacNicol as the voice of Doc Ock a Ghostbusters alumni perfectly cast as he has this intellectual voice when he starts speaking. He also voiced Chronos the time fugitive in Justice League Unlimited.

Don't know which villain is my favorite so far they're all great! But one thing I am excited for you to see is one particular villain that shows up in season two. You've mentioned him before in a previous episode, so I'm really curious to see what you'll think about him when he actually shows up. Because from what I understand he's very different from how he is in the comics.
Okay, as a zoologist, lemme break it down. All bugs are insects, but not all insects are bugs, and arachnids are neither insects nor bugs.
All Insects and bugs possess 6 legs, and in order for an insect to be classified as a bug, it has to belong to the heminoptera (half winged) family of insects. “True bugs” also have a mouth shaped like straw or needle. These true bugs have specialized parts of their mouths to suck juices, mostly from plants. This is called a proboscis and actually looks like a long beak and works like a straw that we, as humans, would use. Some insects, like the honeybee and butterfly, have a retractable proboscis. Insects with movable mouthparts allow them to move food from the source to their mouth. The proboscis of a true bug is more rigid and cannot be rolled up. Aphids, cicadas, stink bugs, bed bugs, and water bugs are part of Hemiptera and are actually bugs. However, beetles, butterflies, bees, and flies are all just insects.
Arachnids are distinct from insects for a number of reasons, but the most commonly known is becouse they have 8 legs, rather than 6. Other differences include specialized mouth parts, and a completely different breathing system. Insects also have 3 body segments, while arachnids only have 2.
Now, bug, insects, and arachnids, as well as most of the other creepy crawlers are united under an umbrella terminology known as Arthropods. Arthropods include any invertebrate with an exoskeleton (a skeleton on the outside of their body).
Favorite villain y'all have met so far is SO hard!!! Spectacular is by far my favorite Spider-Man adaptation of all time and has so many of my favorite iterations of these characters! Green Goblin, Lizard and Electro are all PEAK in this show. So those are my top three that you've met so far. As for what's to come... You guys aren't even ready. The symbiote arc in this show is one of the best thing I've ever seen in my life. It's the thing I first think about when someone brings up Spectacular Spider-Man. I truly cannot oversell how incredibly they pulled off the symbiote arc.

My favourite has to be Shocker. Such a fun character with great fights. Mysterio and Kraven are the villains I’m most excited for these guys to see. I think Kraven was done pretty poorly in this show, so it should be interesting to see their reaction!

More of the Peter and Eddie dynamic. This was the first time I saw them as friends/bros (outside of playing a little ultimate spidernan but I don’t remember much). But the two have some really good chemistry in this show
I never knew that Green Goblin was voiced by Steve Blumm for a while. He is one of my absolute favorite VA and has voiced many of my favorite characters which include for a short time Subzero from MKX-11.
I've always known the symbiote as being from space🤔
I find it very hard to vaguely allude to anything in this show that Coy's not just gonna clock immediately, so I'll just say I'm excited for everything that's coming for you two!

I always loved that Mark Hamill voiced Hobgoblin in the 90s Spider-Man animated series.
I love the screams the goblin bombs make when they explode. Such a fun detail.
Squid and Octopi seem like aliens but they're just so ancient that they don't have living relatives.
They evolved alongside some of the earliest multicellular lifeforms on Earth and haven't had to change or adapt much in millions of years while everything else on the planet has changed drastically.
All I’ll say is you guys are in for a treat with how they handle the Green Goblin stuff, there’s so many great things in this show I’m excited for you guys to see. Glad you’re loving it so far!

Bug actually doesn't describe all insects, bugs are a specific species of insects, but we started using the name to describe all insects so we now need to use the term "true bugs" to talk about the real bugs

And what I'm looking forward to the most is just the quips and jokes in this show. They are some the best that I've heard from Spider-Man. They really pop ...there's one in particular between Spidey and Rhino that I think is top tier. It always cracks me up! I'm glad you guys are enjoying the show!

Doctor Octopus has always been a favorite villian of mine since I started reading the comics in the mid 80's. As far as villians coming up that you haven't seen yet, without giving the villian away... That's just it "Will you see him?"

Pretty sure the voice actor of goblin is the guy who did starscream in transformers prime. Also I love defoe’s goblin but this goblin is probably my favorite of all time. He’s the only villain in this show that can keep up with Spider-Man’s quips and dish out his own, he’s SMART and not just a psycho, everything he does is calculated. The bombs sounding like little screams when they blow up. Doing iconic comic imagery with just random scenes. He’s just the best
Favorite villain so far is easily Gobby. Steve Blum (Wolverine in most video games and animated stuff, Orochimaru, Spike, etc.) just kills it. Looking forward to seeing you enjoy how some characters deal with addiction throughout the course of the show and to see how mistakes made by characters throughout the first seven episodes aren't easily brushed over throughout the 26 episode run...

My favourite villain you guys have seen would be Doc Ock. The build up for 9 episodes and how much of a massively fun switch up from his mild-mannered personality to the wild mad scientist we see.
There’s so much exciting things to come, but if I had to really narrow it down to one, I’d have to say the conclusion to the Green Goblin saga is what I’m most excited to see you guys react to.

The Spectacular Spider-Man, Season 1, Episode 12, is my favorite episode, if not one of my favorites in the series. It’s also considered one of the best episodes in the first season. I think you all will definitely enjoy this one.

Love that the 2nd episode referenced Harry's drug use. I am fascinated with the Seduction of the Innocent and the creation of the Comics Code so the few mainstream comics that were published without Code approval are favourites. Interestingly, Amazing Spider-Man #96-98 and Green Lantern #85-86 were published at approximately the same time in 1971.

The reason why they changed Ned Leed’s name to Ned Lee is because the creators originally planned to make Ned into Mr. Negative. He’s a combination of Mr. Lee and Ned.
Of course, when the show got axed prematurely, this got scrapped.
This show’s version of Green Goblin is by far my favorite of all time , I love how sassy and flamboyant he is!!!!!

It really is a shame that we never got to see this world fully realized, they did such a great job with all the characters. MJ for example was the perfect blend of comic accuracy but also a modern take on the character. Would've loved to see how they developed her and Peter's relationship towards the planned end, would've done major justice to those two because as it stands, there is really no series or movie in my opinion that has truly done those two justice outside of the comics pre-OMD.
