Fantastic track and video. I've been trying to get my own track built for over 20yrs now. You've done an incredible job. Well done. A credit to your camera operator too.
For a self-styled “beginner” without too much extra time, you’ve done an excellent job! The scenery looks super and the layout looks fun - please be sure to show us more of your progress. Cheers! 👍
Very nice job, I just got into it again a couple years ago. I’m now 57 years old and I’m doing it for the fun enjoying myself. Thank you for the videos and information. It encourages all of us to enjoy the hobby.😊🏎️🏎️🏎️
That’s amazing, do you use jumpers to distribute the power around your track? It runs so well. I was getting lots of connection problems on mine even after tightening all of the little metal tabs on the bottom of the track, they seem to work loose again and cause connection issues, so I put a couple of jumpers in which seems to have helped.
I’m still working out ‘connectivity’, Kevin. Some of my (10) cars go round without any problem at all. Others seem to find ‘weak’ spots in the track. Jumpers could well solve it all, but I also need to check connections and clean the (s/hand) track very thoroughly.
Needs some fencing / guardrails on the elevated areas. Otherwise you're going to be damaging some of the high-priced slot cars you might run. Also, I prefer some longer straights to let the cars show their speed, but that's a matter of preference.
Very nice track layout and modeling work. You are a natural on camera explaining your work.
What a wonderful layout set within an equally wonderful room. 😎👍🏁
