Glad to see some insight into this, I’m in the hiring process with a afp, been hesitant about it, I’ve been doing local deliveries for a beverage company touching drinks all day 😂
I was an Amazon Delivery Associate for 2 years, I just got my CDL and I'm moving to an AFP. Thank You for the videos! I have been searching everywhere for information.
Just came across your videos bro.....just applied for a Afp out here in Modesto CA. excited . And ur video is getting me super excited looks hella chill. I've been pulling doubles for the last 4 years so hopefully I pick it up quick and not have trouble backing up.
This is perfect 😂😂 I just got a job with Amazon for a freight partner driver and I’m switching from hauling trash in walking floor trailers! It was a great first job with a lot of good people but it was a little too risky with having to climb up and tarp trailers in the wind and rain, plus load pay can get kinda iffy at times. Glad to see you enjoying and I hope I can enjoy it too!
Glad you're enjoying the tractor trailer. I've driven class B dump trucks but definitely prefer the class A side of the industry. Keep the videos coming and stay safe out there bro!
@Don Ramón that all depends on location and the company you work for. A lot of places have bad winters which aren't good for dump trucking, but in the south we run year round and work is plentiful in my area.
hello, i got a question. I've got my CDL A and applied for swift and did the orientation and the training. went out on the road and got a really bad mentor. the woman i got was yelling and screaming at everything for no reason. i'm really good at driving trucks. used to drive back in my country a mercedes Semi-truck. and i got experience, but no way to prove it because i was really young. so i left swift after a week of working there. so i was wondering if i can work with amazon like you driving a day cap truck hauling a 53' trailer? and if I can where can i apply? swear to god after having that experience with that mentor like that, i was fucking afraid of doing trucking again. but i love it and want a local trucking job but can't find anything.
I'm trying to get in. I'm in bolivar mo. Closest one is springfield no openings. Where did you go to apply. I've had my class a for 8 years no experience on tracker trailers. Only worked with class b trucks
are the hours still flexed for all drivers, or more so for the new drivers? You know, "paying your dues" because you aren't a veteran behind the wheel with this company? You know how they do newbies. Glad to see a new video!
Uhm far ass I kno it’s the same for everyone, I talked to a guy that’s been there for 2 yrs he comes in same time of morning as me and deals with the same scheduling
Got my CDL last month, been a yard spotter moving hella trucks and trailers for the last 4 weeks and looking to get on with Amazon. My current company has too much politics.
Well just talk to them, tell them you was looking more for some steady work and see if they know any companies that’s running local, or see if y’all could work something out dnt hurt to ask.
Don't nobody want to come in behind you and smell stankin *** cigs!! Lose the habit or get a vape! I can't stand workin with people that smoke cigs! Sh*t have all your clothes and everybody else close stankin!
Can an individual earn an cdl license and just go work for a DIFFERENT company like Amazon for example, instead of signing an contract within the academy your training in?.
The best way to get your cdl is through a driving school even if it’s a cheap one you just gotta search for them… If you get your cdl through a company they’re going want you to do atleast a year with them or you’ll have to pay the cost of them training you if you break the contract.
FYI if you go with Schneider's training program and get your cdl through them.. if you beeak their contract you only pay 2080 and you can pay it back monthly.
Looking for the same thing.. im also trying to see what’s the average pay like.. im with Werner making 1100 net a week regional but this seems interesting
@@kathifidalgo0 I have the part 3 to this day dat I just never got around to uploading I’ll do that tonight and tomorrow I’ll record some more, any specific questions you have let me know and I’ll answer them in the next video
I’ve been doing this 7 months and I can say it’s been a nightmare, maybe it’s just my management but the 14 hour shift 4-5 days a week catch up to you and ruin your home life completely. My management tends to put things out of my control on me. I’m quitting as of today. A load was canceled and the yard told me to leave because they have nothing and since I didn’t answer my phone while driving I got days cut from my week and they also lie about shift changes. I was told I would get the morning shift and they put me over night then said they’d give me a different one but gave me one that they knew I was incapable of doing. Also the days they work you can change at any time.
When you said you "Enjoyed doing trash" but you "arent doing trash anymore" I thought you were talking about my ex.
Wow 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 great 1

How much you get paid a week bro? If you dont mind me asking, also do you a lot of overtime? or is it just 40 hours per week
@@23s8 I do about 48 to 50 hours per week, my position is Solo 2 which are Amazon branded sleeper cabs, my gross weekly is about $1600
What mount did you use for your phone
Why don't you check your brake lights for your trailer? (you can use the light check to see your brake lights if you didn't know)
How much training did you get with Amazon before you started?
As much as you need until you and them are comfortable releasing you.

Nice video, 2 questions do you work 3 days in a row or spread out in the week? And do they hire students?
They usually put all your days in a row and honestly haven’t worked 3 day’s only 4 or 5
How does the whole transfer process work? Moving from one state to another if you already work for afp?
Sorry I dnt really know. My guess is even tho they’re all Amazon each different afp is ran by its own bosses so probably gotta reapply.
That makes sense. Thanks. Anywhere I can message you personally about some other questions?
