Thank you for posting this video. I was getting very frustrated trying to pair the Sengled bulb with my new Echo Dot. After resetting and trying multiple times tried your trick of putting the bulb into a lamp right next to the Echo during setup. Worked like a charm. After pairing was complete all I had to do was move the bulb to the lamp I was planning to use as a smart light.

If you can’t get it to work after resetting the bulb, unplug your echo and plug it back in again, reset your light and try pairing again. Your welcome.

I have the Bluetooth Sengled lights. They are now unresponsive (only had them for three days!). I’ve reset multiple time ..A Day..🤬. Now all are unresponsive. Even after resetting. Unplugged my echos.. multiple times. Please help before I send this trash back. Please and Thank you

Hello! I just got the exact same Sengled bulb and Alexa device that you have on the video and for some reason, I’m not able to pair the bulb and I tried several times without any results... pretty frustrating. The first time I tried it worked, but after that, it just stop working on the app and I had an error message saying that there was an error with my device. Any advice? Thank you and nice video, by the way.
Hi, I am glad you like the video. I would suggest deleting the bulb from the Alexa App, reset the bulb and start again. I have found this bulb to be somewhat troublesome if you accidently use the physical power switch to turn the light on or off and then try to use Alexa again. The other thing that I have found that you may also want to try is resetting the bulb without deleting it from the app and then telling Alexa to scan for new devices. You will notice the bulb blink to indicate it has paired but Alexa after scanning, will tell you that no new devices were found however the bulb will resume working again with Alexa. Hope this helps!

Hello, I have the same items than you and your video helps me a lot, but also I bought sylvania light bulbs ,but I'm not able to paring them with echo dot. What it's wrong with sylvania light bulbs, sengled and echo dot?
I have found that you may need to do exactly as I have done in the video. Place the Echo Dot and the light bulb right next to each other when first pairing. So rather than putting it in the actual light socket where it will permanently be located, put it in a lamp or other fixture that can be moved right next to you Echo Dot. Make sure you reset the bulb and have Alexa search for available updates before trying.

Hi. I have setup my motion sensor and door sensor setup with smart life app and link with alexa. But am unable to creat routines with this sensors. Alexa not trigger any routines with this sensors. Do you have any idea to fix this issue? I have done all I can. Reset. Unlinked

This bulb is garbage.
It works as it should for a week, then it becomes _"unresponsive"_ for no reason.

No need for a hub. You do have to have an Alexa device.
Will the Sengled bulbs work in a 3-way lamp socket?
Yes, but you will find that if anyone uses any switch rather than having Alexa turn it on, it will cause the bulb to disconnect from Alexa and you will have to start the process again.
Does it have to be this close to the echo dot 3?

@@courtlandwilliams4725 okay I had to call Amazon, they had me follow these same steps but they also had me unplug my alexa and plug back in and then follow the same steps again but after you turn it on and off 5 times and it does its blinking, then turn the bulb off again and tell alexa to search for devices and then immediately turn the light back on and then now mine is working.

Anybody that is having trouble setting up the lightbulb what helped me was I went manually into the Alexa app and clicked on my echo device and updated it from there it should say “ latest version fire OS” and then I said the lightbulb up from the app as well hope this helps

Next step for it to act like a smart device is to get an Alexa device. Without one, all you have is a light bulb.

Idk why, but everytime I turn on my bulb, it just blinks in the same colorinas yours, then it pauses and blinks a blue colour, then green and finally red, won’t let me do ANYTHING after that, I don’t know what to do:(
The best thing that I can say is to reset the bulbs and try again. I know it is frustrating. I will have a follow up video in the next few days.
I got mine setup then it won't work it will say check network connection and power supply and in the app it says server is unresponsive
I would try to reset the bulb and try again. I have found that when you use the regular on/ off switch as opposed to using Alexa to control the power, it may cause the bulb not to function correctly the next time you try to use it with your Echo Dot or Alexa enabled speaker.

Search for Alexa in your app store if its not on your phone already. For Android search in the play store. For Iphone search in the App Store.

Pull out the bulb, wait 30 seconds and put it back in. Then power on and off 5 times, this should hopefully resolve your problem
