I have this condition and I'm suicidal because of it. I just don't think this is something that I can accept as part of my life forever. It's been on entire year with this and I will try to get this cured but if it isn't then it's just not going to work. This is way more shit than I'm willing to put up with every day.

Same here man, going to my first PT session tomorrow and hoping it can at least relieve this somewhat... this condition is a nightmare and sucks every last bit of happiness out of my life.

@Jéssica Ferrari I have had phases of it getting better and then flaring up again. It is very difficult to get rid of it completely but I am hopeful because I got rid of a less extreme version of it once for a a number of years like 3-4 years ago. The moments when it gets better come after long periods of no sitting + smooth bowel movements thanks to osmotic laxatives. However, it still gets irritated for no reason sometimes but I guess you have to have persistence... Some PT exercises aggravate the symptoms but some are ok.

Hi Robert, thank you for your bravery. I had 5 children and vaginal hysterectomy. I have now suffered with Pudendal Neuralgia for just over 7 years, only diagnosed for 4 of those years. I live in the UK and I have been unable to find any consultant to help me regarding treatments aside from blocks, which I have now had 3. One was diagnostic, injected into the Alcocks Canal. This took all the pain away for 48 hours. The other two were steroid injections around the lumbar region and both caused me dreadful flares and no relief. I am desperate for help, my pain score is high and I know that you understand what that means. I wish more was known about this condition and that treatments were at least explored as a daily medication schedule is far from ideal.

I have had left pudendal entrapment at the dorsal branch of the nerve from scar tissue , after yrs of dr to dr I finally got my old mri re reads and it led to getting a MRI neurography or MRN with contrast to finally diagnose the entrapment ant it’s location, I found a plastic surgeon to perform the release. 3T MRN is the best way to visualize the pudedendal nerve
Most mri Machines are 1.5t, you need a 3t or 3 Tesla power. I had mine done In Houston

Folks, my pudendal nerve was entrapped for 13 years. Anyone who says this isn’t “suicide-level pain” has never had it before.
Dr. Hibner in Scottsdale performed a transgluteal decompression/debridement procedure two years ago, and essentially saved my life (I didn’t have the courage to kill myself, but every single night, I wished I would die in my sleep).
This doesn’t work for everyone, and he doesn’t take insurance. Write me if you need help - be as specific and detailed as possible.
