I hope this may help but when I used to sell food containers, some would have a mold problem (especially bread keepers) and the solution that helped the most was a soak in a mixture of 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water. It's also good for a spray for mold problems in bathrooms. Not the best smelling stuff but vinegar is a natural mold killer and when it evaporates, it leaves a clean scent. This may help you keep your wooden cutlery and straws last longer
Just soak wooden items about 15 minutes and other items like cups and such for up to an hour. It won't remove mold stains. You would need some sort of bleaching agent for that.
Since a couple of weeks I took a beautiful bag in Spain (cheaper since I live near the frontier) and I filled it with essential for moving around : a glass bottle 2,32€ at a decoration store, a set of fork/spoon/knife in steel, my stainless steel staw... and periodic protection (washablepad, some organic tanpom if a friend needs it), some organic sun screen since it’s summer! And my bluetooth speaker to enjoy music everywhere
I also want bamboo/wooden cutlery but IDK how to maintain them 😭 I feel like they will easily get mold. I use stainless steel utensils right now. They’re heavier, but they’re easier to maintain and they can last for a long time.
I really must get some small produce bags! I drink lemon water every day so each week I buy 7 lemons. I usually try to make a little wall around them on the conveyor belt at the supermarket to make life easier for the assistant but I have lost count of the times it turns into a game of ‘hunt/chase the lemon’ 😂😂. These videos are really informative and I hope they are encouraging more people to adopt a zero/low waste lifestyle.
Louise C Most staff are happy to join in the game but occasionally I get the ‘stink eye’, maybe they have had too many rude customers that day and my lemons are the final (hopefully reusable) straw 😂 I think supermarkets are missing out by not selling produce bags, not only would that make them a profit but they would save money on having to provide those awful plastic ones.
instead of buying ready made produce bags its a better idea to upcycle some old sheets or pillow covers, with just a little bit of sewing they can easily become a string bag to take with you anywhere! im thinking of doing that since i have a lot of old sheets lying around and i know some people who also have too many. you can also use the fabric to make small reusable tea bags. good luck!
Hi Blue thanks for sharing your essentials. We do carry stainless steel water bottles with us, reusable bags and also carry wooden utensils with us. We always enjoy your videos.
Thank you for beeing such an amazing inspiration and thank you for all your tips on this channel! I get so full of joy when I get to share these beliefs with other people across the world.
Hey, great video (I adore these types)! Since watching your videos (roughly six months), I’ve made so many little changes that went over so, so well. I have gone almost 100% paperless (I can’t avoid some papers due to the nature of my school and career, but I can avoid it for personal use which is where I am) and I have gone to a totally zero waste period (this one really makes me happy, because it’s so much easier if I’m honest). Alongside that, I have gotten a bento kit (so flatware is included), a tea mug (still need to find a lovely coffee one but my mum steals mine which is how I have none), a cup for non-water drinks, and a lovely water bottle that’s proceeds went to conservation of wildlife. This lifestyle is a good egg, thank you for your information.
That's fantastic! I'm so happy to hear you're living a more sustainable lifestyle and enjoying it in the process (which is SO important). Keep up the great work and keep spreading the message!

That’s really nice! I wish one day I can do this! I’m taking baby steps in transitioning. It seems like such a peaceful life I love it!

Blue Ollis always!!! I’ve had a few of “those looks” but those are the people I will change easier, I’ve found.
You are just glowing! I love your videos!
Your bag is so cute
You are so inspirational
I really want to be zero waste now because of you ❤️❤️ love all your videos especially the routines

Thank you so much for sharing this hun ♡
This is helpful as im trying to be more zero waste going out. So thank you
Love your channel xx
I used to remove the mold from my kitchen wooden or bamboo stuff by spraying them with Clorine and water. It works well
Thank you for all of these tips! :)
Great video, Blue! I love having a nosey in everyone's bag!
What do you think about hydro flask? Does that really support the environment?

Blue, I love your channel and you have inspired me to become less wasteful... but are your utensils salad mixers? They seem very large
Thank you for your kind words 🙏🏻 perhaps they seem large on screen. They’re normal fork and spoon size.
Why not use metal forks and spoons?
A l l e g e d l y TM I’m wondering, too! I personally keep metal camping cutlery with me, that I own and use for years now! :)
You totally can! I prefer wood because it's lighter and doesn't clang around in my bag.
I have camping sporks. So useful.
Anytime someone mentions “Keep Cup” on UA-cam I always think they are talking about a menstrual cup at first, idkw lol
Haha. Probably because they’re cups, too! Moon cup / keep cup... pretty similar! Both fantastic products, too.
Don’t buy bamboo cutlery it’s a waste when u already have perfectly good metal cutlery at home
Aww they don’t sell The chopsticks in the U.S. 🥢
You are INFp...
INFJ 😉
Are you ok? You look different. You seem sort of solemn and your eyes look full of worry.
You think? IMO, she looks radiant and serene, as always.
