Will be interesting to see when the hybrid comes out in Ireland .. I had the new Octavia VrS IV in mind but this could be a winner if the price is right
Here's our review of the plug-in hybrid www.completecar.ie/car-reviews/article/Cupra/Formentor/Formentor_e-Hybrid_245_(2021)/1794/10755/2021-Cupra-Formentor-e-Hybrid-245-(2021)-review.html
Got it for 38.000€ flat with everything, except for panoramic (I don't like it) and brembo brakes. Otherwise, everything else is maxed out with 5y/100k warranty, you're both getting ripped off lol, here it's starts from 36.900 and I got almost 2k euro discount :P
Great review im test driving the 2lt one in the new year but I see the 1.5 is have the price I had that engine in my Ibiza fr and it was a peach. Just comes down to how good the 2lt is to drive. Will let you know my decision in the new year.
@@roninesce8362 Its a choice between the 1.5litre and the hybrid. The 2litre was just too expensive and I don't think it's worth the extra nearly 20k over the 1.5litre especially when you can spec the bucket seats and same alloys as the 2litre but i will have to wait till after lockdown to drive the hybrid.
Cupra is only just setting up/launching in Australia, still no cars in the country. Wow $63k Euros is a lot. I placed a deposit, based on O/S reviews like this, on a Launch Edition VZx Formentor in Oz, I think that's like the VZ3 with Brembo brakes, delivery scheduled for August/Sept timeframe in Australia; including on road costs (rego, tax etc) for the equivalent of $46K Euros.
@@VITOLLFOTOGRAFIA well I am interested in the VZ version. By the spec it is almost a perfect car - 4wd, slightly bigger ground clearance, powerful 310hp engine. But the color options for it are just depressing, as if the seat is afraid for their car to stand out. Seen a few times it on the street also and it looks even duller than in the video.
I am still choosing between the formentor tucson hybrid 230hp and maube the new kia sportage. I like my car to be a bit unique and not bland like the ateca or cashqai
Maybe the Formentor PHEV? Here is our review www.completecar.ie/car-reviews/article/Cupra/Formentor/Formentor_e-Hybrid_245_(2021)/1794/10755/2021-Cupra-Formentor-e-Hybrid-245-(2021)-review.html

Great video mate, really like your videos.
Cheers from India 😄
Thank you, Akash. Hello to you in India!
And just as you show this, they release....a 150hp version :D :D and great video as always :)
Thank you!

Love the color mmm need to buy it if only I had the cash
This one is costly
very much based on the looks of the Leon. would you go for a Cupra Formentor, Ateca or leon?
A Cupra Leon estate is still a very tempting thing. Does everything!
Great Video review Dave.
Thanks, Richard!
Hoping my new 310 Formentor will be delivered next month , good review
Thank you, you're in for a treat with that car. ^DH
Cool car
Was that shot in Ireland?
Yes, it was filmed in Ireland. ^Dave
Great video. Thanks. What do you think about this matt color ?
It looks been better in real life. I've asked professional cleaners and they say it's very easy to maintain too. ^Dave
Is the 4wd option worth it ?
I have a Golf R at the moment which is brilliant but this will be the ‘family’ car …
I'm ordering one in the next few months. You are being seriously ripped off in Ireland, here in Spain the VZ version (310 BHP) starts at 44,920 €
It's very expensive to buy new cars here due to the registration tax. It's a pity. ^Dave

Did you get one?
Nice video. What is the actual colour, I mean the official colour name. Is this Matte Gray?
Its matte navy blue. Cupra calls it as *petrol blue matte*

Vehicle tax in Ireland is much higher than the rest of Europe.
This starts at €42k in the UK and starts at €57k in Ireland.
Why such a big difference? Absolutely ridiculous.
£30k (1.5litre), £40k (2litre). UK £ not €'s.
Great looking car & great honest review, thank you 👍

I love the car. I just wish they had brighter colors
In the 150 HP there are a lot.

€63,000.00 for the VZ? Surely that's wrong! In New Zealand it's $73k, which is €41k
New Vehicle Registration Tax in Ireland makes this much more expensive than other European countries, it’s not a direct currency swap
Well done Dave
Thanks!
Great review..👍... 9.20 Pondering life.
Always!
Cupra's badge reminds some people of the Transformers? And that's a bad thing? People come in all shapes, I think...
What was better: original Transformers cartoon or the modern movies? ^Dave
Got my new 310 on order.
Congratulations! What colour did you go for?
@@CompletecarIe White with the blue interior. The matt paints are nice but far too expensive.
This one. Love it.
@Colin Gregson What's your cup of tea then?
: )
Is there any ambient lighting at the rear doors?
We don't recall any from memory
I have one and its great :)
Good to hear!
