    Do you have a video on bedding the pads?

      We did not record that portion of the project but we followed the instructions provided with the pads.

    did this fix the pedal mush of the 1st half of pressing?

    • @morrismartinracing
      @morrismartinracing  Рік тому +1

      @Slowtreme, no it did not. We are going to attempt a S550 Booster/Master Cylinder swap to get the bigger bore and let everyone know how it goes.

      @@morrismartinracing any luck with swapping to S550 booster/master cylinder? How's the 6 pistons going?

    Question: I have 2007 s197 with the long soft throw brake pedal problem, did the braided lines, new pads cycling the ABS module with only slight improvement. I want to fix that before I add my 4 piston Brembo kit. So a (what year and model) vacuum booster change along with its corresponding MC would give quick and hard brake pedal?

      We are currently working on a solution to the same problem on our S197. In general terms, a larger (than stock) diameter brake Master Cylinder will result in increased pedal pressure. The booster plays less of role in this as we are finding out. We are currently trying to retrofit a Brake Master Cylinder from a S550 with performance pack brakes onto our S197 booster. Not an easy swap but we have seen it done in the past. Will more than likely make a new video once we solve the issue for ourselves.

    big fan here, you guys are doing an amazing job with this mustang, cant wait to see the final product, will you guys boost this stang with a turbocharger?

    • @morrismartinracing
      @morrismartinracing  Рік тому +1

      Not sure there will ever be a final product hahahaha
      We are constantly toying with the idea of power adders or an engine swap but have never settled on a direction. Let us know what you want to see happen on this car!

      @@morrismartinracing I myself own a 3V, and I am eager to witness the extent to which you can push the capabilities of this engine, love your content!!

      So many people nowadays go coyote swap. But they are $$$. You can literally buy a 3V long block, stroke, and forge it for the cost of a coyote swap. 3V’s are cheap and plentiful.
      Many road racers frown upon forced induction, but an inter-cooled centrifugal supercharger does not add that much heat. Nothing comparable to a roots/eaton style supercharger or turbo setup.
      I need to make the jump to the 6 piston Brembo’s. Great video!

    what about the rear ? any cool looking caliper for the rear ? to match the looks. I am being looking for one but no luck

    • @morrismartinracing
      @morrismartinracing  Рік тому

      There are aftermarket caliper options but nothing from Ford (at least that I’m aware of). The bigger diameter rotors and upgraded pads are plenty good for upgrading rear breaking.

      @@morrismartinracing yeah I am aware of the performance, I am just looking for a good looking caliper, the stock ones are kinda ugly

      Yeah is crazy haha! I saw a guy making a custom plate for wilwood calipers! which is cool but he use an explore 8.8 rear diff ! Idk if thats the same as our mustangs @@michaeltabanao8092

      You are correct, we chose to swap to a less-aggressive pad rather than add proportioning valve.
