Riah, you should start a support group for shunned/disfellowshipped/ ex jws. There is such a need for hurting/abused ex jws. They need others to talk to and discuss how to handle issues like: Loneliness How to handle being shunned by family and friends Possible legal actions Start a network of attorneys who specialize in jw lawsuits. There should be small group meetings of ex jws in every major city. Riah, you start the prototype then other cities can start a chapter where they live. Maybe call it: Help for hurting ex JWs. @Darryl-ci5pv thank you, as much as I agree that is needed. I'm not sure it would be too beneficial. I find a lot of ex jws don't want to be open about certain things In a public sense. But I have been actively trying to find lawyers who could help with a lawsuit or something. But that feels like the road to no where ....
@riah__v Do 1 meeting in your area as a trial run. Gather local ex jwers and do a brainstorming meeting. Or make a list of issues to discuss. There is such a need for this type of ministry! I think once the people feel safe to discuss their hurts, they will open up so much! You will be surprised. Please consider it deeply and pray about it. You may be called to pioneer to this much needed ministry. I know you will help hundreds and more. Your thoughts?
Thr moment a person becomes aware of the abuse s child suffered it should take top priority and authorities should be notified and the law proses of investigating should take its cause. If I as a jw prevent that I'm preventing justice and should be seen as an accomplice and be charged with obstructing the law. One can't say I love GOD and people if I alow such pain to continue. May GOD bring an end to this even if it means the end of the organization
My wife has been shunned by her entire family for the last 44 years. They cannot stop the shunning because it is their biggest means of control. The internet and people like you are causing them to loose their grip on many. Keep up the good work!
How can it be their biggest means means of control when they are shunned, you are on your own because of your own doing and you don't like anyone to speak to you about it. No one likes being reproved for some wrong doing, how we accept the council is yours alone.
@tedemberson3473 oh lord this sounds very brainwashed. Its controlling because they try to make you follow their rules with the threat of shunning. They control your families actions to not speak to you. They control if you come back and they then control your future actions because you don't want to be shunned again. This control is by fear and they use it for everything even simply questioning elders. That is control.
Oh i am so so sorry for your loss and can only begin to understand the pain. I hope you know many have committed suicide from shunning and it is not okay. I know the healing will take a very long time and I hope you find the peace you deserve . I was bought up a Jehovah’s Witness in Australia. The horrors I can tell you about us six kids physical and sexual abuse will make you cringe. And yes, all covered up by their authorities. This is nothing more than a religion and a Cult like many out there in the world. but if you’re looking for the answer, it’s not religion. The answers in Jesus to any Jehovah’s Witness. Who’s out there looking for the truth throw away your books and twisted Bible. Find a Bible that does not belong to a religion .start in the book of John .asked Jesus to show you. if your Sincerely looking, he will show you things totally amazing. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord…. ….GIFT……😀😃😇
I seen a documentary on this woman who was a former JW. She was molested by one of the elders in the congregation. So sad to hear about how they ignored and shunned her.
Yes it is so sad but reality is it happens every day with Jehovah's witnesses because they actively cover up pedophiles and other rapists in their congregation. Thank you for sharing that
Oh, a request for information here (and yes, I can look it up, but wanted to ask here): Are Elders within a local JW Kingdom Hall paid? And at what level of the organization does a person in service begin to be paid for their time? (Thanks!)
So that's a loaded question but ultimately they are not "paid " but does not mean they elders don't get paid for certain things. For instance one elder uses his company as the security for the kingdom halls so he uses the kh donation to pay his company and so on and so forth but the actual salarys start at circuit overseer level and district and then into bethel and governing body. So local elders do not technically get paid
Fuck yea, great video, it just popped up on my feed, idk how I never came across you yet, youre gorgeous, but also a great speaker, I’m definitely going to start a UA-cam channel someday
The cruel, hateful tactics of Jehovah's Witnesses haven't just ruined and devastated people's lives but, in some cases, caused them to lose their lives. The prime reason for this is their worship of and devotion to Jehovah, the god of the Old Testament. He wasn't the same deity as the Heavenly Father that Christ spoke of in the New Testament, but was in fact the Demiurge, the original devil. If you doubt this, just consider how he treated people.
I had a friend in high school who was JW and “taught” me that the Bible says that the people who were alive to see World War One would also be alive to see Armageddon. What ever happened to this doctrine? Was it replaced with a different lie?
Yeah they were taught different things through the years of when Armageddon would come and obviously missed the dates about 5 times. Replaced with many different lies through the years
Some of them Deny the Divinity of Christ. I studied with them for close to 30 years. I never got baptized in that religion. I don't agree with some of the teachings...
I've had experience with the JW cult, and what's frightening is how similar the modern woke left is becoming. Absolute intolerance and cutting off family over differences in beliefs
How ironic. I was just discussing false narratives. If the family is refusing to talk to the MAGA or MAGA-like, its because they don't believe that calling the police SWAT team on a Black family in the neighborhood, simply to get them to move out, is appropriate. Nor is cursing out the Latino cashier at the grocery store simply because they aren't white. But the MAGA feels that's fine. The situation is not the same as the JW shunning experience.
Everyone will live forever because there is a resurrection of both the just and unjust. The just will enjoy the pleasures forevermore at the right hand of God. The unjust will be cast into the lake of fire where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth forever.
I know that via the anti-Mormon YT channels, and in evangelical Christian, and even JW literature, Latter-day Saints can be painted badly. I don't know if those are the source of your personal picture, or if you had a bad experience yourself. My experience has been quite good. The experience one will have with LDS missionaries will be different than an experience working day to day with Mormons at your job, or even just going to church each week. The LDS missionaries are obeying mission-oriented rules while they are serving in that capacity for a couple of years. But as far as the anti-literature and channels, I'd like to bring to the fore, a difference between those against Mormon and those against the JW org. Those against Mormons frequently earn the creators a nice revenue stream. There's money to be made in attacking the LDS church as long as the falsehoods don't get so ridiculous as to make most viewers click away. With the videos I've seen bringing the JW org to light, there doesn't seem to be money to be made there. The money incentive never seems to come into play much. The experiences related by former JW members don't go off into fantasy land, and are pretty consistent. I haven't seen enough to catch onto any channels that make things up against JWs in order to try to garner clicks, but with anti-Mormon material, one doesn't even need to try. So that very difference can give a lot of credence to the exJW community experience (for it truly seems to be a community of shared abuse and pain), and also takes the credence away from the anti-LDS stuff out there. (How many places was Joseph Smith occupying at the same time? 200 years of making money off of inventing tales about him certainly leads to conflicting stories, creating a Quantum Joseph Smith that can be here and there at the same time.) Lastly, I'll reiterate the harm that the anti-LDS YT channel folks do, regarding those exJW members trying to find help to heal from their abusive experiences. Because people, and particularly authorities, realize that the stories about "those evil Mormons" largely turn out to be false (there are certainly bad people calling themselves Latter-day Saints, of course), then those authorities gain a jaded view about any claims of abuse via religious organizations, and are less receptive to those needing help and healing as a result of practices coming from JW and JW-like organizations. It makes the recovery process more difficult.
An additional chapter to this book-in-a-comment, Mormons celebrate Christmas, Easter, etc. So if you meet LDS missionaries and happen to note a Christmas tree in the apartment, no surprise. Except for a pair of sister missionaries, or at least their apartment. They didn't want to take their Christmas tree down! Instead they'd decorate it up depending on the holiday. So it became a Valentine's day tree, or a Fourth of July tree, or a Halloween tree. Why? Were they worshipping it? No. It was fun! That was the only reason.
@@davepowder4020 I've always enjoyed visiting with the Mormon missionaries. They are so devoted to their cause and that is something I envy. I wish young people in my church would go on a mission somewhere in the world sharing the gospel. The LDS have their own cultic teachings that I would avoid. They arose about the same time that the JWs did. By the way, I have no financial incentive to make this comment. I hope you have a good day!
@@johnsmit5999 Well, don't forget my newly invented scripture for taking missionaries out to lunch or dinner: "Blessed are they that bring the crust and the cheese and the pepperoni to the mouths of my servants, that their days may be long, greasy and delicious in the land" "Cultic" can always mean "different than what I'm comfortable with", which may be why I'm lenient until proven otherwise on various belief systems. But the exJW folks are pretty consistent in their experiences, and don't seem to have much incentive other than concern for others to avoid being abused in the same way that they themselves were. They've gone a long way toward "proven otherwise" in this case. And take note that LDS missionaries can chuckle at my fun scripture without being offended or worried about offending authority. Or, as another commenter mentioned, when stranded on the highway, an LDS person might pick you up and help (if not worried about being murdered, naturally), while it seems that a JW member seems much less likely to do so. There's a core indicator there.
Well technically it all depends on how they get in trouble. Because they would get punished for being with a non Jehovah's witness and then after that would most likely recruit you. But you would not be obligated to unless you started studying with them
I think the worst teaching they have is that only the 144,000 can be born again. This is never want God meant. He desires everyone to partake of the living waters that flow freely in salvation. (John 7:37-38)
Proverbs 4:15 Shun it, READ BELOW ↓ Proverbs 4:14-17 NWT 14 Into the path of the wicked ones do not enter, and do not walk straight on into the way of the bad ones. 15 Shun it, do not pass along by it; turn aside from it, and pass along. 16 For they do not sleep unless they do badness, and their sleep has been snatched away unless they cause someone to stumble. 17 For they have fed themselves with the bread of wickedness, and the wine of acts of violence is what they drink. Shun it
@g45crrt so making out with a boy is considered wicked? This is the problem , you take something and turn it to work however fits your (jws) agenda . No the Bible is not saying someone is wicked for calling out the elders for lying or kissing their boyfriend or committing a sin. That's the problem and you are proving my point , it is not biblical to shun people the way the Jehovah's witness cult shuns . If we were really following that scripture than all the governing body and majority of elders would have been shunned a long time ago for their wicked acts and abuse. Wicked does not mean a mistake or something done that an elder doesn't like. That's the whole point.

@@caribbeanman3379 NONSENSE your facts don't add up! Millions of people are abused around the world every day. It Has nothing to do with religion. @riah__v "What is shunning?" - Shunning is a form of social exclusion, in which a person is intentionally ignored or ostracized by others. It can be used as a form of punishment or as a means of discouraging others from following the wrongdoer's actions. - Shunning is supposed to discourage others from imitating or following the unwise and unbeneficial actions of the individual who committed a bad sin or did something wrong ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is "shunning" a biblical practice? - An example is found in 1 Corinthians 5:11-13, which says, "But now I am writing you to *stop keeping company with anyone called a brother who is sexually immoral or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man.* 12 For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do you not judge those inside, while God judges those outside? “*Remove the wicked person from among yourselves.*" - Matthew 18:15-17 also says, “Moreover, if your brother commits a sin, go and reveal his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if *he does not listen, take along with you one or two more, so that on the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established.* 17 *If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations and as a tax collector.*" (They believe that this means that they should stop associating with anyone who is living in a way that is contrary to the teachings of the Bible, including those who have been disfellowshipped.) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm certainly stirring up more fog here, but after hearing the consistency of JW shunning and other problem stories, I'm mostly past the "They're simply hating for clicks" feeling. The JW org isn't the only one, especially among evangelicals, that treats their membership in this way, but they seem to have a larger footprint than most other religious or quasi-religious groups that act in a similar way. And here comes the stirring-up part, that it now shows the "Anti-Mormon" channels and pushers as problematic in this regard. If one has met groups of Latter-day Saints/Mormons, then accusations which try to paint the Latter-day Saint church membership and ex-membership relations in the same light as JWs, can be seen as quite false. Someone claiming to have this experience as a former Mormon is either coming from a very, very unique experience, or, more likely, is making things up for clicks and views. Now if this was the only effect, that they were just lying for money, that'd be one thing. But the farther reaching effect is that their false claims muddy the waters for those that really ARE coming from such a shunning experience as JWs or other controlling evangelicals. Again, stirring-up comment here, but there's a small similitude with those that falsely claim sexual assault making the recovery environment much more murky for those that really have suffered such intimate assaults. Are there problems which can drive people away from the Mormon communities? Sure! But way too many of the YT channels are filled with false narratives, and way too many of those have false narratives which mirror the true stories of ex-JW people, that once the falseness is realized, leave folks skeptical of any such experience in the future, true or false. So the presence of lying-for-clicks like that becomes more than simply unfortunate, they become actively harmful for those trying to recover from such psychological abuse.
I can not speak on Mormons as I was never a Mormon but the difference is jws leaders have publicly announced their support for pedophiles and have been openly caught lying about the sexual assault of children and then said they lied to protect their image as they open spiritual warfare.
1 Corinthians 5:11 it plainly says not even eating with that one who is a for example a fornicator. I was disfellowshipped as a teen for engaging in fornication which the bible condemns i loved women. So it happened to me. But this advise is coming from the almighty if you or i die can resurrect us.
1 Corinthians 5:11 does not say you are to shun them or not to speak to them . There are many who have left the organization and are being shunned . Leaving the jw organization is not a sin and yet they are being shunned . That's cruel and unjust
@ericbulman1752 i agree with you, you cannot simply leave the organization an persons shun you. That's wild but I think it has to do with their numbers. They need stats since so many has left. And congratulations on leaving . Proud ex jw here! Stay strong friend 🖤
@riah__v Thanks! We finally got an update that they'll make the announcement next week! Thank you for your vids!
@Mercipher21 congrats! Happy to hear they are actually doing something. Now welcome to freedom and true happiness 🖤

Riah, you should start a support group for shunned/disfellowshipped/ ex jws. There is such a need for hurting/abused ex jws. They need others to talk to and discuss how to handle issues like:
Loneliness
How to handle being shunned by family and friends
Possible legal actions
Start a network of attorneys who specialize in jw lawsuits.
There should be small group meetings of ex jws in every major city. Riah, you start the prototype then other cities can start a chapter where they live. Maybe call it:
Help for hurting ex JWs.
Organize and meet weekly/ monthly depending on the need.
Your thoughts Riah???
@riah__v I replied but my comment disappeared. Hmmmm
Yes exactly! Thank you for sharing that because you worded it exactly how I feel too 🖤
My wife has been shunned by her entire family for the last 44 years. They cannot stop the shunning because it is their biggest means of control. The internet and people like you are causing them to loose their grip on many. Keep up the good work!
So sorry to hear that but happy she made her own family with you. Thank you so much for the support 🖤
💯💯💯!!!
Spiritual abuse is real and devastating!
My husband died by suicide elders repeatedly denied his reinstatement can’t even decide how to cope with this
Oh i am so so sorry for your loss and can only begin to understand the pain. I hope you know many have committed suicide from shunning and it is not okay. I know the healing will take a very long time and I hope you find the peace you deserve . Once you get to a place of feeling healed , I hope you talk to a lawyer about pressing charges if possible or sueing them. That is horrible. I am so sorry and appreciate you sharing 🖤

….GIFT……😀😃😇

Is a lot of hypocrisy in this organisation Cult
I seen a documentary on this woman who was a former JW. She was molested by one of the elders in the congregation. So sad to hear about how they ignored and shunned her.
Yes it is so sad but reality is it happens every day with Jehovah's witnesses because they actively cover up pedophiles and other rapists in their congregation. Thank you for sharing that
@riah__v I heard they have a track record of 50 years+ on molestation cases.
@riah__v YW.
Thank you woke up 30 years after I left so mind control last for long time then I found Allan Watts
Thank you so much! If you do start a channel I will happily support. Our voices are so powerful!
Replaced with many different lies through the years
Psychological Violence in Gods name is shameful .
@BigGamePlayer-hi9lu yes it is quite shameful and beyond hurtful.
Hi 👋🏻 💪💪💪💪💪💔💔💔❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏
Some of them Deny the Divinity of Christ. I studied with them for close to 30 years. I never got baptized in that religion. I don't agree with some of the teachings...
Yes, they believe Jesus is the archangel Michael, not God.
The thing is, why do people tell you not to speak out bit they can just read their magazine amd go door to door proselytizing?
@asafry2873 yeah very hypocritical of them .
Your very intelligent and beautiful ❤

It's a pity! She could have lived forever.
It's a pity you would rather be immortal than a good person.
Everyone will live forever because there is a resurrection of both the just and unjust. The just will enjoy the pleasures forevermore at the right hand of God. The unjust will be cast into the lake of fire where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth forever.
Here I thought LDS was bad, they are bad but JH takes first prize.
200 years of making money off of inventing tales about him certainly leads to conflicting stories, creating a Quantum Joseph Smith that can be here and there at the same time.)
Lastly, I'll reiterate the harm that the anti-LDS YT channel folks do, regarding those exJW members trying to find help to heal from their abusive experiences.
@@johnsmit5999 Well, don't forget my newly invented scripture for taking missionaries out to lunch or dinner: "Blessed are they that bring the crust and the cheese and the pepperoni to the mouths of my servants, that their days may be long, greasy and delicious in the land"
"Cultic" can always mean "different than what I'm comfortable with", which may be why I'm lenient until proven otherwise on various belief systems.
I was Disfellowshipped 3 times. I have a NEW Channel, it's Bobby's FYI&E.
If you marry a Jehovah's witnesses are you also supposed to knock on people's doors and not allowed to sleep on the Weekends?
Well technically it all depends on how they get in trouble. Because they would get punished for being with a non Jehovah's witness and then after that would most likely recruit you. But you would not be obligated to unless you started studying with them
I think the worst teaching they have is that only the 144,000 can be born again. This is never want God meant. He desires everyone to partake of the living waters that flow freely in salvation. (John 7:37-38)

Shun it
@g45crrt so making out with a boy is considered wicked? This is the problem , you take something and turn it to work however fits your (jws) agenda . No the Bible is not saying someone is wicked for calling out the elders for lying or kissing their boyfriend or committing a sin. That's the problem and you are proving my point , it is not biblical to shun people the way the Jehovah's witness cult shuns . If we were really following that scripture than all the governing body and majority of elders would have been shunned a long time ago for their wicked acts and abuse. Wicked does not mean a mistake or something done that an elder doesn't like. That's the whole point.

"What is shunning?"
- Shunning is a form of social exclusion, in which a person is intentionally ignored or ostracized by others. It can be used as a form of punishment or as a means of discouraging others from following the wrongdoer's actions.
- Shunning is supposed to discourage others from imitating or following the unwise and unbeneficial actions of the individual who committed a bad sin or did something wrong
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is "shunning" a biblical practice?
- An example is found in 1 Corinthians 5:11-13, which says, "But now I am writing you to *stop keeping company with anyone called a brother who is sexually immoral or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man.* 12 For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do you not judge those inside, while God judges those outside? “*Remove the wicked person from among yourselves.*"
- Matthew 18:15-17 also says, “Moreover, if your brother commits a sin, go and reveal his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if *he does not listen, take along with you one or two more, so that on the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established.* 17 *If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations and as a tax collector.*"
(They believe that this means that they should stop associating with anyone who is living in a way that is contrary to the teachings of the Bible, including those who have been disfellowshipped.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
you are next level gorgeous :)
@ovelappingG79 aww thank you so much!
