About blood transfusions thing. My brother he was in a major motorcycle accident when he was 16 and he needed a transfusion. Dad was a JW at the time and he literally had to choose between the cult and his son's life. So he chose his son and left the cult now. His son just became a grandfather recently

It was a shock and Horrific that i had gone against the blood issue totally unaware. I went to the elders and told them how i had given each of my children a portion of blood each for 2 years each. They were shocked at my confession that i have nursed my children with milk from my body. Milk is completely 'T'cells by the mother. They rather dismissed it. But i woke up in November 2020.

I got caught up in the JW org when I was 17 from a girlfriend of mine who said she heard from friend of her brothers that the JW's have the answers and you should check them out. Worst, and best thing that ever happened to me. I started out thinking they had the answers and were so organized they had to have the truth. After a non sexual experience I had with a girl I of course had to report my petting session to the elders. I then was put on trial in front of (5) elders , and by the time it was done they had me believing I had sex with this girl and they had to disfelliwship me. I told them how could you do this, I came to you! It didn't matter. They had to make an example out of me for the rest of the congregation. This was in the first year I was involved with them where I got baptized at 17. I had a great need to be accepted. I was doing so good they even had me accompanying the congregation overseer to be his special reader when he went to other congregation to give talks. I also had a baseball career that I could have pursued but they dissuaded me from that because they said competion hurt other that weren't as good as you. Anyway that was the first of my (3) disfellowshippings. They really messed me up. I couldn't figure it out. It took me like 20 years of searching for the truth to realize they were not the truth, but were a false religion, and were a cult. I was really scared because I couldn't get their teachings about eternal destruction out of my mind. They said God did not love me anymore and only would love me if I stayed in the org. I needed answers. I prayed to God, that if the JW's weee the true religion that I was sorry, but couldn't believe that the true God would be represented by the teachings of the dubs. I was in sales and listened to preachers like Charles Stanley, James Boyce, Chuck Swindell, on the radio, and they said that salvation was a free gift! Then I read a few books, one was the Kingdom of the Cults by Walter Martin, and the Crisis of Conscious by an X 144k brothers. In time I found my way to a non denominational church where they taught the scriptures verse by verse. It took time to get over the guilt that I had, a lot of was from their teaching line that Jesus was a created being but in time I saw how they twisted the scriptures to further their own false doctrines. So, my JW experience nearly destroyed my life (worst), but which let me, out of desperation to figure out the real truth. That truth led me to realize that Jesus Christ, is God , who came in the flesh, and paid a debt I could never pay myself, and by putting my trust in what he did for me, (best), and for you, we can have eternal life. No more time cards to hand in, no more pretending to believe the 1914 nonsense, etc. etc. Eph:2:8-9. Is devestating the JW experience was, it led me to the true Savior, Jesus Christ. Sorry so long of a post.

I remember my father used to take me to this religion sometimes. I have never been to a church before that. But I have read the Bible before. He did stop taking me because I would have discussions with them changing their Bible. And I told them I believe that God has revealed Himself as a Trinity in the Bible. FATHER SON HOLY SPIRIT. I was like 14 years old. Haven't been to any church since them.

I haven't heard of the Watchtower coming after people? I don't consider comment trolls to be pursuit, however, and I have seen those from both the JW org and from other JW-similar groups. $ign-in-tology attempts to sue people into silence, however. Do you have examples of the Watchtower doing the same? As a separate set of examples, when Trey Parker was making his comedy play, The Book of Mormon, he was warned by anti-Mormons that he'd get sued, but he felt that wouldn't happen, and it was true, nothing negative happened to him from that. It never does with Mormons. But poor Trey, when he made fun of Muhammad in a much lighter way, he had an informal fatwa declared on his head, so he does have to worry a bit about someone coming to harm him there. (You can make South Park cartoons of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young all you want, but be careful with certain others!)

Is it against the Bible to have a policy of _always_ reporting child abuse to the police for them to investigate? Is it against the Bible to save someone's life by putting blood in their veins when they have a deficiency of it due to hemorrhaging or other illness? Why did God create blood? If accepting a blood transfusion is the same as eating blood and going against the Bible, how is it that having a gyn exam not the same as sexual uncleanness or fornication? Where is the consistency? If your doctor told you to abstain from meat, does that mean you have to refuse a liver transplant? So how on earth could a blood transplant be the same as eating blood? Help me to see the logic? Do you remember what Jesus said about doing work to save a life on the Sabbath? How do you think he would look at JWs' position of denying life-saving blood transfusions because of a law forbidding the _eating_ of blood? Are JWs not the modern-day equivalent of the heartless, unreasonable, legalistic Pharisees? You will argue against all logic and reason now. But if your true leaders - the Governing Body - were to come out tomorrow with an update saying that after careful study it is apparent that God is not against blood transfusions, you would turn on a dime and accept their reasoning - even if it's the same reasoning your critics are now using. What does that prove? That you're not followers of Jesus. You're followers of men and have surrendered your power of reason and your conscience, to men. Your obedience and loyalty to them is worshipful, rivaling your obedience to Jehovah and Jesus through scripture. No once can slave for two masters. You cannot slave for Jehovah and for an organization. For you will obey one and be disloyal to the other. What do you do when holy spirit moves you to act contrary to the fallible policies of an imperfect organization? To be a good JW you have to grieve God's spirit less you're labeled as rebellious, presumptuous, independent-thinking, not following theocratic direction, etc. That's the bind you've been put into. Do you think God is the one putting you in such a position or Satan?

Riah, I've noticed an interesting difference between the way you and, as far as I can tell, those others coming out of the JW org run your comments in the channels, and those that are pushing an agenda that can't be supported by honesty: You don't seem to delete or hide people's comments (unless they're really ugly, I guess). You seem to keep an open platform for folks that interact with your videos and information, even if you don't have the time to address everything individually. Those that are pushing some kind of agenda, whether it be an attempt to bring a conversion without question, or post false information about others, seem to work very, very differently. Their comments sections are "free" from anyone questioning anything, as an example. There's no room for debate in their manufactured world. Again, really ugly trolling is set aside from this honest vs dishonest trend. Just an observation, and an appreciation for keeping it open and honest.

Tyr this. Say the name of Jesus, and watch them physically take steps backward. Say the name of Jesus again, and you are looking and backside. Say His name again, and they are scrambling to pick up their litter-ature and are packing up the cart. If you manage to say the name of Jesus for the fourth time, it is to slamming car doors and revving engines. They cannot stand the name of Jesus, or the person speaking the name, and they scurry like rats.
It has been my experience that unfortunately the majority of XJW's don't know Jesus as their Savior. The indoctration by the watchtower org. that Jesus was only a created being has really messed so many of them up to the point that they give up on God/religion all together. Let's continue to keep the XJW's as well as current JW's that God would cause them to challenge what the WT has taught them, like the Bereons did, and realize come to know that Jesus/God came to earth to pay a debt we could not repay, and by trusting in the finished work of Christ that they will put their trust in Him, and not the man made org. I agree. I believe that many leave God after their JW experience is because they never knew God. I don't mean that in a bad way it's just that the process that you are put through with the JW's is more of an indoctrination of making the 'Organization' your god rather than the true God of the universe. And it's not their fault really. The JW's don't know the true God so they can only teach their members about a false god. In really, the truth is that the Jehovahs Witnesses organization is the god its members follow. I pray that there God, will open the eyes of those disillusioned ones.

Great to hear. My exJW wife is alive today because she accepted a blood transfusion. We just welcomed our fourth grandchild into the world.

Is it against the Bible to have a policy of _always_ reporting child abuse to the police for them to investigate?
Is it against the Bible to save someone's life by putting blood in their veins when they have a deficiency of it due to hemorrhaging or other illness? Why did God create blood? How is using blood to perform the very purpose God created it for, going against the Bible? How is that logical?
If accepting a blood transfusion is the same as eating blood and going against the Bible, how is it that having a gyn exam not the same as sexual uncleanness or fornication? Where is the consistency?
If your doctor told you to abstain from meat, does that mean you have to refuse a liver transplant? So how on earth could a blood transplant be the same as eating blood? Help me to see the logic?
Do you remember what Jesus said about doing work to save a life on the Sabbath? How do you think he would look at JWs' position of denying life-saving blood transfusions because of a law forbidding the _eating_ of blood?

You will argue against all logic and reason now. But if your true leaders - the Governing Body - were to come out tomorrow with an update saying that after careful study it is apparent that God is not against blood transfusions, you would turn on a dime and accept their reasoning - even if it's the same reasoning your critics are now using. What does that prove? That you're not followers of Jesus. You're followers of men and have surrendered your power of reason and your conscience, to men. Your obedience and loyalty to them is worshipful, rivaling your obedience to Jehovah and Jesus through scripture.
No once can slave for two masters. You cannot slave for Jehovah and for an organization. For you will obey one and be disloyal to the other. What do you do when holy spirit moves you to act contrary to the fallible policies of an imperfect organization? To be a good JW you have to grieve God's spirit less you're labeled as rebellious, presumptuous, independent-thinking, not following theocratic direction, etc. That's the bind you've been put into. Do you think God is the one putting you in such a position or Satan?

Riah, I've noticed an interesting difference between the way you and, as far as I can tell, those others coming out of the JW org run your comments in the channels, and those that are pushing an agenda that can't be supported by honesty: You don't seem to delete or hide people's comments (unless they're really ugly, I guess). You seem to keep an open platform for folks that interact with your videos and information, even if you don't have the time to address everything individually.
Those that are pushing some kind of agenda, whether it be an attempt to bring a conversion without question, or post false information about others, seem to work very, very differently. Their comments sections are "free" from anyone questioning anything, as an example. There's no room for debate in their manufactured world. Again, really ugly trolling is set aside from this honest vs dishonest trend. Just an observation, and an appreciation for keeping it open and honest.
@davepowder4020 aww thank you so much for saying that and noticing it. Yes i believe it's super important to have an open and honest conversation with others. And more importantly I feel leaving both sides will help people who are maybe questioning leaving the cult see a different view point or see why I'm saying what I'm saying. Some people do get nasty on here and I leave it up but I have no problem letting those comments stay up , I feel it proves my point of how hateful the Jehovah's witnesses are .

It has been my experience that unfortunately the majority of XJW's don't know Jesus as their Savior. The indoctration by the watchtower org. that Jesus was only a created being has really messed so many of them up to the point that they give up on God/religion all together. Let's continue to keep the XJW's as well as current JW's that God would cause them to challenge what the WT has taught them, like the Bereons did, and realize come to know that Jesus/God came to earth to pay a debt we could not repay, and by trusting in the finished work of Christ that they will put their trust in Him, and not the man made org. Of the WT.

I agree. I believe that many leave God after their JW experience is because they never knew God. I don't mean that in a bad way it's just that the process that you are put through with the JW's is more of an indoctrination of making the 'Organization' your god rather than the true God of the universe. And it's not their fault really. The JW's don't know the true God so they can only teach their members about a false god. In really, the truth is that the Jehovahs Witnesses organization is the god its members follow. I pray that there God, will open the eyes of those disillusioned ones.

Also as a thought know that the bible is the most edited book in the world.
I'm not hurt my quality of life has improved substantially ,no on is ever compelled to get baptised so if you have a problem with the way we do things just don't get baptized.

The fact you need a "head count " is because you know they baptise that young but you want to make it seem like it's not common. Shame on you. Even if it only happened to 1 person , it's a crime to hold a child responsible for that. But it's way too many that this happens too. A huge thing would be for you to just acknowledge this happens and ask your self why .

Here Paul is clearly distinguishing between those within the church and those beyond the bounds of the Church ,we gave authority from JEHOVAH To maintain the purity of the Church those beyond the bounds of the church will be dealt with by JEHOVAH. Christ the head of JEHOVAH'S Church all in full compliance with his example are within the church including baptism, those not totally compliant with his example are outside of JEHOVAH'S Church.

Believe in the trinity and hellfire which I don’t believe in. They celebrate the pagan holidays and they think it’s ok to kill people if you go to war. I’m getting up there in age and I want to know the future of people that have died in the last 6,000 yrs. It doesn’t sound right to me that most people go to heaven when they die.
