There is a mistake in the recipe in the video. Shea butter should be used at 6.35 grams which is 5% of the whole recipe. not 11.33 grams like I said in the video. Sorry my mistake.
Very informative video. I'm so learning a lot from your videos. I have a question, Emulsifying wax NF and Cetyl Alcohol are both emulsifiers...am I correct? If yes, why did you use both?
@@Olori_Ajike Ewax NF is a complete emulsifier. The Cetyl Alcohol isn't necessary but may have been used for its silky skin feel or for texture. Cetyl Alcohol isnt a complete emulsifier so can't be a reliable stand alone system, it will need to be used with another solubiliser or surfactant but NF can be as it is already a pre-blended mix. Hope that helps x Hope that helps.
i actually did everything in the video and my lotion came out exactly how i like it but ima try to use the 6.53 shea butter to see different results you are the best TARA
Home made! Awesome! Great job friend! You are such a hero! We really want to grow our channel with great content and look up to you and what your provide 💖💖💖
Wow😲I'm so so impressed. Looks like a product you could for like $25 at bed, body bath and beyond. I l0ve this. You are really good Tara❤. I'm a lover of essential oils
This is so awesome and so helpful, especially for those who love DIYs and knowing what ingredients are in their beauty and skincare. Keep up the great work!
This looks amazing! I am a ceramic artist so I measure out percentages of ingredients for clays and glazes etc. all the time, and it is really cool to see you using a similar process for a product that is so different!
I started to follow around 2020 end and now 2023 and I'm watching the video made 4 yrs ago the journey was really incredible and the video it's beginner friendly really loved it. Love and lots of inspiration ❤️🥳Tara sister🥰
I'm not getting your notifications, not sure why. It's good to make your own lotion, that way you know what you are putting in there. Thanks for a brilliant tutorial hun xo
That has been happening to a lot of other people as well, That sucks! I'm glad you were able to stop by anyways :D thanks for always watching and supporting me
Hi Tara 💖 thank you for ur amazing videos 💎 I have question. I research cetyl alcohol in my location ( Turkey 🇹🇷) and find “Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol” is that ok replace cetyl alcohol with “Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol “ ? ( I guess it’s mix of Cetyl alcohol )🌝
Absolutely beautiful end product as usual!!! Question though? Can I replace the emulsifying wax NF with cera bellina wax and the Cetyl alcohol with sunflower lecithin?
great video Tara!! i love watching these, its so satisfying to see everything come together in the final product! an orange creamsicle lotion sounds so lovely 😍💕
We go thru moisturizer so quickly here lol. Now I know how to make it. Or at least try 😂 your channel is always great to watch! Thanks for sharing. Awesome video! You really explain everything on point.
This is amazing. I would love to have your mind full of these inventions for one day TaraLee. Whole Foods would never see me again. LOL Love love this. 💜
I think you should make a video teaching how to make rose soap (different kinds of soap)... I love the scent of natural roses... thank you for sharing 👍🏼✨🙂🎥
Hi there, I tried this out and it's awesome!! Thanks for posting this video, you inspired me to go on my diy journey!

Girl this is so legit ✨✨ I love body lotion and have an obsession for soft skin 💖💖 im definitely going to try to make my own ❤️✨ new subbie ✨❤️ thanks for the tips boo 💫💫
Hi Tara, I'm curious about formulating a magnesium body lotion; what kind of adjustments might I need to make to the formulation if I swapped the water for a magnesium brine? I'm learning...your channel is outstanding, so well done!
Love this & all your videos! I’ll definitely try this! In a previous lotion video you also used aloe vera juice or a hydrosol. How much of a difference in feel/weight & moisturizing is there without it? Can it also be used with this one?
glad you enjoyed :) & you can definitely use aloe vera juice or a hydrosol. I personally don't like to (to keep the cost value down) because I personally don't notice much of a difference when I use Aloe juice or a hydrosol. You will still receive the benefits from those ingredients though. I just don't feel much of a physical difference.
Excellent! Thanks so much! I’ll just make it part of the 66% and make some with & without! I also like it because you don’t have to wait overnight to complete the process! Keep up the great work! I’m learning so much from your videos, they are extremely informative for us newbies!
I just wanted to ask a question about the products you linked in the description box. I decided to formulate this moisturizer so I purchased all of them directly from your links. But then I received the sunflower oil and realized that it is actually a cooking oil, not necessarily marketed for skin use. Is that okay? Did you notice it wasn’t a skin oil or is it not a problem?
If I were to make this a thicker lotion, what would be a good percentage for the water? Should I up the percentage on butter and decrease on oils? Can I stick with emulsifying wax NF or should I use BTMS50? Trying to avoid over spending on product 😵 TYSM in advance!!
Hi TaraLee- Thanks for this amazing recipe & tips in making it. Can you please do a video for the same one but a bigger amount? I would like to make this for myself to fill a 32oz mason jar- Amazon sells a pump-top for mason jars (both regular & wide mouth) & I prefer to make it once every 4-6 months LOL
Hey Tara :) I tried several times to make this lotion, but oil and water fase just separate every time. I put everything you said, but... :/ Do you know what should I do?
If I were to do all your DIY's I'd be rich girl!! I wouldn't have to spend all this money on buying products! lol Your knowledge is irreplaceable girl!
Also, when you use Leucidal SF Complete, what is the shelf life of your lotions? I have researched this information all day, and cannot find a clear answer.

Question:do i need carrier oils AND A BUTTER?
Is the butter NEEDED? Or will it melt without it...

May I ask. Can I use phenoxyethanol as my preservative instead of Leucidal SF complete?
This is so useful! I hate not knowing whats in my products. Soo cleveer x
Why do you use Cetyl Alcohol and emulsifying wax? I use just emulsifying wax but want to improve my formula. What does Cetyl alcohol do to this?
Home made.... wow
This is awesome
Thanks dear
What preservatives can be put in body scrubs and lip scrubs, just to be safe❤️
Also, when you use Leucidal SF Complete, what is the shelf life of your lotions? I have researched this information all day, and cannot find a clear answer.
Wow...amazing..thank you for sharing..😊
Very nice video.friend keep it up
thank you so much :D
This is awesome I need to try this! Thanks 💗
Are emulsifying wax and cetearyl alcohol the same?
