- Join me as I take a trip to the small hamlet of Abbeystead, situated in the heart of the Forest of Bowland AONB in Lancashire. I visit the reservoir which was the scene of a tragedy back in 1984 when a methane gas explosion at an underground pumping house caused the death of 16 people.

Hi. What's that music playing just after you visit the pump station. It's incredibly relaxing
I can only say try searching looperman.com for mellow music
I had two friends in the explosion, both were badly injured. One was in so much pain from his burns he killed himself - not all deaths are recorded. Brilliant video though!
Looks nice. What drone do you use for you air shots.....
Thanks. I used a DJI Mavic Pro for this.
Would love if you could do a video around the hamlet of Eaves , I share the same surname and now live in Sydney Australia, I believe there's a great pub there. I was born and raised in Layton would love to see that as well. Great videos really enjoying the footage 👍👌
Thanks Gary. I think you may mean The Plough at Eaves pub. I have been there, but it was a fair while ago.

Gleaming video mate - looks lovely and peaceful there 👍🏻
I was there, 5 years before that event, when HM Queen Elizabeth opened the water treatment works, at Abbystead.
Jeff Seed, husband of the late Pat Seed, was one of the workers who died in that incident.
Pat was one of the fundraisers who helped make the Christie hospital one of the worlds most preeminent cancer hospitals in the world.
