The first time I heard this song we were on our way to the hospital, at 4am in the morning, for my son's heart surgery. God gave me this song to give me peace through the whole surgery. All 10 hours of the surgery God gave me the most profound peace. And the very risky surgery he went through went flawlessly. Every surgeon in the room was blown away. Thank God for our Christian surgeon who claimed it as a miracle.

I just want to share that today after years of turning my back on God and being embarrassed to admit that I feel God's love I've changed. I went to mercy me and tenth avenue north concert with my in-laws a fee weeks ago and there has been a burning inside of me ever since. I was listening to this song on my way home from work and out of no where the dam broke and the walls I've been building for so long crumbled. I won't live another day with my back turned to God. He never stopped loving me... not even for a second and today, FINALLY. I give back control. Thankyou for what you guys do. Your music is beautiful and powerful and like a wrecking ball, broke down the walls standing between myself and God. I had lost my brother and my mom, and for a long time I was angry with God for allowing these things to happen. I had some bad anger issues and was constantly getting into trouble at school and at home, struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts. I also struggled with bulimia, I had moved states and had made a new best friend at my new school. She's a Christian and had invited me to come to her Church. She has helped me find my way back to God and I'm so thankful for it❤

The overwhelming reality, as the chorus goes "God you don't need me, but somehow you want me, oh how you love me, somehow that frees me to open my hands up and give you control" who are we to have the Son of God die for us? Who are we that he should love us? A bunch of worthless, weak, pathetic sinners before God, and he has made us righteous and royalty by grace! A gift I feel like we take for granted much to often.
I was losing my faith. So far that it was almost completely lost. Thankful to a couple recent situations that dying ember of hope was sparked again. This song is very helpful.

I battled a drug addiction for 5 years, and on New Years I gave my life back to Jesus after I had strayed away for almost 10 years. God came to me in my darkest times through Skillet. Skillet is the reason why I am still here today. Skillet is the reason why I am in recovery from my drug addiction, and skillet is the reason why I gave my life back to God. It’s truly upsetting that when I thought God had abandoned me, but He was there for me all along in music.
I take recovery one day at a time. And since I started this journey on October 3rd, I have relapsed twice, but since New Years, I have use once. But I am proud to say that I hated every second of that high. I had all of my pills with me, reached out to my colleague, and she flushed them for me. I cried and gave her a hug. She told me I could do it. This day was 2/21/18.

I grew up with a very abusive dad and the Lord changed everything, my dad got help and seeked Jesus and now that I'm a adult and it's been 35 years past those days with too much anger and his beer. I don't drink ever and never will touch alcohol because of it. My kiddos deserve a way better dad with a huge smile and filled with Jesus 💯. This song has helped me through so much. I struggle with self doubt every day, and have anxiety. The lyrics hit home for me. Struggling with uncertainty looking for a full time writing job but I know He is in control. He gave me the talent to write, so I'm trusting Him that He has a plan.

For some reason, a lot of songs like this have been popping up out of no where. Whether it be on the radio on my drive to work, or in my recommended on UA-cam, or even Pandora. I’ve lost my connection with God almost a decade ago. I told my friend about some current issues I have been dealing with, and told her how I was looking into getting help, but I was scared, so I asked her “I know I’m not really religious, but can you pray for me? For some reason it is comforting knowing that someone wants me to get better.” And she has been praying hard and has even got her church praying for me. She said to me before I asked, that God asked her to pray for someone in her life that she didn’t know was struggling. She said that God did not give a name, or a situation, but that she felt the need to pray for this person for what ever it was. And when I messaged her, she thought “this is who I’ve been praying about for these past few months...” that astonished me.

Alternatively, those songs also don't need to focus on how the beat goes or how the guitar is. They simply derived their lyrics either directly from verses or their interpretation / integration of them in their lives. However, the God we serve is a reader if hearts and minds, so it is only He who truly distinguishes what is true worship from what simply "feels good" to us.

racal elihu I don't know about anybody else but I can share my experience. God couldn't restore my life until I completely surrendered to him. I was struggling with substance abuse and alcohol. and I remember praying on my porch to God and then getting in my car and going to get high on cocaine. because I didn't know how to live clean. and during the night I ended up getting pulled over by the police. and they took me down to the station and book me for possession. and I called my attorney he pick me up and it was my third offense. and after $2,500 or more of attorney fees and anxiously awaiting my hearing. and after going to the hearing and the judge told me to see if I need counseling at a local counseling place of my choice to see if I had a drug problem. then come back and we'll go from there. and then me getting honest to the counselor and tell him that I did was mandated to outpatient clinic and from there I graduated from that and got involved with Narcotics Anonymous and a 12-step program and a sponsor and a homegroup and showing up and being part of everyday for 10 years straight I guess I was ready to do God's Will and work God's program cuz that's what it is it's a god-given program for people like me. and now I go to church as much as I can and I read the Bible I just got done reading the Bible now. and that's all I listen to is Christian music. and I love the Lord with all my heart and soul and I tried to do his will each and every day to the best of my ability. and thank God for my attorney and the 12-step program a restored me back to my Catholic heritage. so my prayer on the porch got answered that night. now I got the best job I ever had and I'm blessed with two vehicles and I'm working on the 3rd the car of my dreams a Corvette Grand Sport. I don't drink do drugs or smoke clean and sober for 10 years for the kingdom the power and the glory is all yours now and forever Lord. hope this helps your buddy cuz that's all I got is my experience strength and hope and if I can do it so can you.
Every time I'm in a bind, Tenth Avenue North is there with a song I've never heard from them. When I was drowning in stress earlier this year, "I have this hope" came out. When I didn't think anything was going my way no matter how hard I tried to get it right, "Losing" came out. When I began forming the ministry myself and a former coworker will one day begin, "What you want" came out. And now, with Control, I find myself in the situation that multiple people in the freemasonry of God's word find themselves in. When I find one piece to the puzzle, I want the next one like candy. And while I'm so stressed out trying to make it appear, I fail to realize that it's not the right time for it to happen, and that I don't have to try to control anything because the answers I look for will come in time.
Song played in car today when I was with my mom and grandma, def believe it was a sign. 🙏🏼❤️ I had been feeling depressed and sad due to my period being here and I just usually get pretty emotional, stressed and down. This song came on after another one I didn’t know, and my mom told me it had to be a sign for God to encourage me, not to mention it was also one of my favorite Christian songs. I feel like the song just describes my situation perfectly, and how I just need to let God take control for once instead of letting my anxiety and depression take over everything all the time. I also love the part where he sings “You want me, the king of heaven wants me... this world has lost its grip on me.” I feel like the world does have its grip on me, and lately has just been taking over my life with the type of people there are in it. I know I’m so different yet everyday I can’t help myself from trying to fit in. This song made me realize to embrace my difference from others and love the way God has used me as an inspiration in the world. 🌎💙

Keep it up! "Afraid" helps us get to sleep at night, they joke about how Mike was afraid of the dark... "Overflow" they're reminded to love others like Jesus. "What You Want" shows them that we need to follow Jesus always, and not just do what we want but what God wants. They haven't gotten too into "I Have This Hope" yet. I just discovered this song during my personal worship hour/Godly meditation. I instantly felt a connection to it. I found my way back to God in December 2016 when i got out of a abusive relationship. I went to a church near my college and my parents and I talked to the pastor and we prayed. From then on I have my love life up to God. He is already in control of my life I just gave more areas of my life to him. Now I’m just riding the wave of life and following his lead because God is amazing Amen

I just want to share that today after years of turning my back on God and being embarrassed to admit that I feel God's love I've changed. I went to mercy me and tenth avenue north concert with my in-laws a fee weeks ago and there has been a burning inside of me ever since. I was listening to this song on my way home from work and out of no where the dam broke and the walls I've been building for so long crumbled. I won't live another day with my back turned to God. He never stopped loving me... not even for a second and today, FINALLY. I give back control. Thankyou for what you guys do. Your music is beautiful and powerful and like a wrecking ball, broke down the walls standing between myself and God. I'm no longer ashamed to say that I feel the love of God and I kinda owe that to you.

I had lost my brother and my mom, and for a long time I was angry with God for allowing these things to happen. I had some bad anger issues and was constantly getting into trouble at school and at home, struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts. I also struggled with bulimia, I had moved states and had made a new best friend at my new school. She's a Christian and had invited me to come to her Church. She has helped me find my way back to God and I'm so thankful for it❤

Thanks for commenting this. My mom and I are in a pretty big fight and I feel so bad but I don’t know what to do. She is so angry. Things have been tense for a while and she just said everything she has been thinking today. I don’t know what to do. I’m so hurt by the things that she said but if we can just go back to normal, I’d do it. I don’t need an apology or anything I just want her to not be mad anymore.

last night I prayed and asked God to send me a song that would help me through life soon. Guess what song I accidentally clicked on

I battled a drug addiction for 5 years, and on New Years I gave my life back to Jesus after I had strayed away for almost 10 years. God came to me in my darkest times through Skillet. Skillet is the reason why I am still here today. Skillet is the reason why I am in recovery from my drug addiction, and skillet is the reason why I gave my life back to God. It’s truly upsetting that when I thought God had abandoned me, but He was there for me all along in music.
I take recovery one day at a time. And since I started this journey on October 3rd, I have relapsed twice, but since New Years, I have use once. But I am proud to say that I hated every second of that high. I had all of my pills with me, reached out to my colleague, and she flushed them for me. I cried and gave her a hug. She told me I could do it. This day was 2/21/18.

I grew up with a very abusive dad and the Lord changed everything, my dad got help and seeked Jesus and now that I'm a adult and it's been 35 years past those days with too much anger and his beer. I don't drink ever and never will touch alcohol because of it. My kiddos deserve a way better dad with a huge smile and filled with Jesus 💯. This song has helped me through so much. I struggle with self doubt every day, and have anxiety. The lyrics hit home for me. Struggling with uncertainty looking for a full time writing job but I know He is in control. He gave me the talent to write, so I'm trusting Him that He has a plan.

This video could not have come at a more perfect time for me. I am so glad it was published. This was a great comfort to me right now, during a difficult time.
For some reason, a lot of songs like this have been popping up out of no where. Whether it be on the radio on my drive to work, or in my recommended on UA-cam, or even Pandora. I’ve lost my connection with God almost a decade ago. I told my friend about some current issues I have been dealing with, and told her how I was looking into getting help, but I was scared, so I asked her “I know I’m not really religious, but can you pray for me? For some reason it is comforting knowing that someone wants me to get better.” And she has been praying hard and has even got her church praying for me. She said to me before I asked, that God asked her to pray for someone in her life that she didn’t know was struggling. She said that God did not give a name, or a situation, but that she felt the need to pray for this person for what ever it was. And when I messaged her, she thought “this is who I’ve been praying about for these past few months...” that astonished me.

It's good to listen to new covenant lyrics for a change, i hate to sound negative but I'm sick and tired of church worship lyrics that are under the law. Hearing grace gospel lyrics is so refreshing. Great song
Alternatively, those songs also don't need to focus on how the beat goes or how the guitar is. They simply derived their lyrics either directly from verses or their interpretation / integration of them in their lives. However, the God we serve is a reader if hearts and minds, so it is only He who truly distinguishes what is true worship from what simply "feels good" to us.

God couldn't restore my life until I completely surrendered to him.
I was struggling with substance abuse and alcohol.
and I remember praying on my porch to God and then getting in my car and going to get high on cocaine.
because I didn't know how to live clean.
and during the night I ended up getting pulled over by the police.
and they took me down to the station and book me for possession.
and I called my attorney he pick me up and it was my third offense.
and after $2,500 or more of attorney fees and anxiously awaiting my hearing.
and after going to the hearing and the judge told me to see if I need counseling at a local counseling place of my choice to see if I had a drug problem. then come back and we'll go from there.
and then me getting honest to the counselor and tell him that I did was mandated to outpatient clinic and from there I graduated from that and got involved with Narcotics Anonymous and a 12-step program and a sponsor and a homegroup and showing up and being part of everyday for 10 years straight I guess I was ready to do God's Will and work God's program cuz that's what it is it's a god-given program for people like me.
and now I go to church as much as I can and I read the Bible I just got done reading the Bible now. and that's all I listen to is Christian music.
and I love the Lord with all my heart and soul and I tried to do his will each and every day to the best of my ability.
and thank God for my attorney and the 12-step program a restored me back to my Catholic heritage.
so my prayer on the porch got answered that night.
now I got the best job I ever had and I'm blessed with two vehicles and I'm working on the 3rd the car of my dreams a Corvette Grand Sport.
I don't drink do drugs or smoke clean and sober for 10 years for the kingdom the power and the glory is all yours now and forever Lord.

Every time I'm in a bind, Tenth Avenue North is there with a song I've never heard from them. When I was drowning in stress earlier this year, "I have this hope" came out. When I didn't think anything was going my way no matter how hard I tried to get it right, "Losing" came out. When I began forming the ministry myself and a former coworker will one day begin, "What you want" came out. And now, with Control, I find myself in the situation that multiple people in the freemasonry of God's word find themselves in. When I find one piece to the puzzle, I want the next one like candy. And while I'm so stressed out trying to make it appear, I fail to realize that it's not the right time for it to happen, and that I don't have to try to control anything because the answers I look for will come in time.
Song played in car today when I was with my mom and grandma, def believe it was a sign. 🙏🏼❤️ I had been feeling depressed and sad due to my period being here and I just usually get pretty emotional, stressed and down. This song came on after another one I didn’t know, and my mom told me it had to be a sign for God to encourage me, not to mention it was also one of my favorite Christian songs. I feel like the song just describes my situation perfectly, and how I just need to let God take control for once instead of letting my anxiety and depression take over everything all the time. I also love the part where he sings “You want me, the king of heaven wants me... this world has lost its grip on me.” I feel like the world does have its grip on me, and lately has just been taking over my life with the type of people there are in it. I know I’m so different yet everyday I can’t help myself from trying to fit in. This song made me realize to embrace my difference from others and love the way God has used me as an inspiration in the world. 🌎💙

I just discovered this song during my personal worship hour/Godly meditation. I instantly felt a connection to it. I found my way back to God in December 2016 when i got out of a abusive relationship. I went to a church near my college and my parents and I talked to the pastor and we prayed. From then on I have my love life up to God. He is already in control of my life I just gave more areas of my life to him. Now I’m just riding the wave of life and following his lead because God is amazing Amen
