I've been using this Airbrush for about 6 months and i love it
I really like the smaller colour cup and rarely use the bigger one

I have the Evolution CR plus. I agree the ease of strip down and cleaning are big plus points for H and S. They are quality products.

Hi Jason, Wow, that is a nice airbrush! I'm sure you will get many years of use out of it. I have the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS, and I am very happy with it. Maybe someday when I gain a little more experience with the airbrush I will look into upgrading to one like yours. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff

Have this and other brand competitors they all have there uses. Best advice I can give for new airbrush buyer is start off with an airbrush that you can get parts replacement easily if needed or wanted. Nice review by the way.

Thank you for the review I have yet to buy an Airbrush and had thought of buying the CR PLUS 2 in 1 so thank you in making my choice I'm still a relatively new AFV modeller despite my age and disability I'm now ready to move on and paint rather than just build. I don't see the point in buying a cheaper Airbrush and then later upgrade to a better model. have enjoyed watching your video's and had subscribed. many thanks and look forward to your conclusion on this Airbrush..👍😎

agree, no point in buying twice

    • @randytaylor1258

The point of a cheap airbrush is trying out what you can do with it. You need an idea of what different sized needles do, what varying pressure does, and what maintenance is involved.
But you're right. If you understand the basics and you're ready to commit, get a decent unit you can live with. Cleaning is especially important -- if your airbrush is difficult to break sown then you're less likely to clean it as often as you should and problems can develop.
If it breaks down into tiny parts then admit that you're going to lose some and stock spares -- now. Remember Murphy's Law.
The only real problem with mail-order is that you're going to want one that fits your hand and is comfortable to use. While certai lines are similar, the balance of each is always different and you want to avoid fatigue. Trying out a friend's can be a big help.
      Practice makes perfect. Good luck!

Hi and thank you for the reply I thought I was being too cocky in saying don't buy a cheap Airbrush! and then buying a better alternative but having watched so many AFV Modelling channels I'm confident in thinking this is the right Airbrush for me! and have always been told buy decent tools that you can afford and not the cheap alternative many thanks for the tips and reviews etc. just wish I had a modelling store near me but living here in the Highlands there are none! 😒 😎

Good review mine is the 0.15 and 0.4 version I bought mine after reading loads of hype and love it if you want to spray a larger area if you buy the h/s colani large paint cup it fits on this airbrush and holds double of the larger cup enjoy using it

Nice review. I bought the H&S Ultra 2 in 1, which is their entry level model at less than £100. Excellent tool and does everything I need it for and it is simplicity itself to clean. The only thing I don’t like with the Ultra is that it has push fit paint cups. Most H&S models have compatible needles, air caps and so on. Never had an issue with it, although I have used it exclusively with Tamiya acrylics and Mr Colour Levelling Thinner. Will have to check whether enamels will be an issue. Bought through Everything Airbrush who have an excellent service.

Ah....German engineering! I've had H&S as my "next" airbrush for some time. I know Phil Flory at Flory models swears by his...and it's always better to swear "by" your airbrush...than "at" your airbrush. Nice review Jason. This looks like a VERY NICE bit of kit....this is now the H&S airbrush of choice on my future "big purchase" list.

Great review Jason. I purchase the 2 in 1 Evolution and must say I was totally disappointed with the instructions which were minimal at best and almost child-like. I see that this is not the case with the CR plus two and i like the ability to make adjustments easily. Your review has moved me towards the new v2 rather than looking at alternative manufacturers

    • @ModelkitStuff

Thanks -- I just watched your earlier video. I have always found it ironic that the original lacquer and acrylic paints -- Floquil and Polly S -- were available for decades for model railroads, yet now that there are dozens of name brand modelling acrylics, the originals are long gone. I've wondered if it had something to do with the movement away from traditional railroad modelling in brass.
You haven't really convinced me to move back to enamels as a major medium, but then I've always had good success with enamel washes and dry-brushing over an acrylic base so they're still in my pallet.

That’s correct now but in the past they didn’t have those seals that the infinity had so if you have the older versions of the evolution you can order the new seals that are Teflon based used in the infinity and now evolution series.

I just managed to break parts on my Iwata Eclipse and during my search for replacement parts (which initially looked like it'd be a 50% of a new brush, before I found a better place) I came across these... And now, of course, wondering if an Infinity or Evolution would compliment the Eclipse and or offer the ability to do more?

    • @ModelkitStuff

It would compliment your existing Eclipse and as stated one of the simplest to take apart to clean if needed in my opinion. I have a a couple badgers, passche I think isn’t spelled correctly, iwatas, madworks, modo airbrushes and non branded airbrushes sorta a collection.

H&S sells an in-line FPC (MAC) valve/quick release accessory. I am going to be upgrading from my $40 Neoeco (great AB for the money) that has a MAC valve to the Infinity cr+ and don't want to lose the advantages of a MAC & found it while doing research. Hope this helps.
