This is such a healthy development for Indian cinema. I guess both lust stories and ghost stories didn't live up to the expectations of the audience. I'm hoping this Sin stories will change it and encourage Netflix to develop more original contents from Indian creators. ✌️

Bollywood had films stopped due to lockdown so there will be the same old movies that are mass entertainment coming out on ott still and released in theaters when it opens. But there's no point in spending money in times like these on mediocre cinema. Rather continue netflix binging on movies across the country and world instead of settling on bollywood films on ott or when theaters open.
I find Tamil Cinema has more Auteurs like Maniratnam sir, Gautam Menon sir, Mysskin sir, Bala sir & Vetrimaaran sir etc , in India after 1950's Bengali Filmakers who express their personal opinions & experiences than something completely fictional. We missed that in Telugu Cinema 2000's decade only Puri Jagannath sir & Chandrashekhar Yeleti sir expressed their thoughts and even my inspiration Rajamouli sir also makes only fictional films that doesn't reflect their personal lives. Now it's changing with Venkatesh Maha & Phanindra Narsetti who make very personal films. I want Mr. Rajamouli & Mr. Shankar to do atleast one Personal film in their Life. I'm a big fan of Tamil Cinema & Malayalam Cinema. Their Films are so personal that everything they make very personal is becoming a Masterpiece. I wish that happens in Telugu & Kannada Cinema too. Only Upendra sir did that in 1990's.

Chandrasekhar Yeleti, Sekhar Kammula, mohankrishna Indraganti are genuinely superb filmmakers on par with gvm, mani sir etc. Telugu movie journalists/industry failed to promote them. Tamil cinema promote their directors very well. That's the difference. Malayalam is in entirely another league
@@CS2K23 Completely Agree. Here, Media think who make films with stars are all Great Directors but they only become star directors not at all Great. Great Directors are who take risks and make Great Films not {Blockbusters}.

When will people start understanding the difference between writing and directing. There is a lot of departments that people dont have knowledge at all. Director of course is a captain of the ship. But to be a good captain, you need to hire skilled crew and its the same for directors too.
Gautam has a mad obsession with Vetrimaaran, his boy fan excitement and mutual admiration are great but oftentimes excessive, Granted VM is brilliant but every single one of these film makers are talented and unique in their own right.
