There is no doubt that she is one of the legends! I'm calling it now because of how she tells her stories; there's no way she wouldn't be at the top of the female country music list!

Reba is literally country ROYALTY.
Facts!
And even now she still wanted the prettiest women in country music she and Dolly Parton are the two prettiest women in country music that can sing like no other
Yes I totally agree I've loved her since I was a child
Reba is a psycho. Became a hooker, then a mistress, then a madam, and never once went back and got her baby sister that was put in the foster system. And in The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia, she killed two people and let her innocent brother take the fall for both.
And has been for a long time
It's about her mom having no choice but to send fancy out to be a lady of the night, she worked hard and made something of herself. That's why the gentleman would know what to do. You have the best reactions 🥰🥰
I am glad that you broke it down. This is a great song!
So many people don’t get that about the song and it makes me crazy!
@@Amaberean ok but your here wasting valuable time to type out an opinion. The dislike button is just beside the like, hit it and act accordingly on your way to a channel that is more geared towards the way you think. Please link your channel so we can all return the favor 🙄🥴🤣
I've never seen anyone start to get it then go left quite like he did at the end. 🤣
@@elaniarkady7351 it's was the best part 😂
Yes - absolute GOAT (over 75 million records sold, 25 #1 songs, 7x ACM Top Female Vocalist, 3 Grammy Awards, Kennedy Center Honors awardee, TV series, movies, Broadway…) she’s done it all!
REALLY should listen to her and Kelly Clarkson Does He Love You…..its amazing
Don't forget actress in a few movies and her own TV show named, what else, REBA.
Her original version of Does He Love You was my favorite
Tremors!@@BelleDede01
She's not my favorite female singer (I do really like her singing just not my #1 for myself to listen to) but she's definitely top 3 all time probably #1 depending on taste.
You need to do "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" and "Does He Love You." Two of her best and most popular. She is an AMAZING story teller.
The Lights Went Out In Georgia was originally sung by the woman who played Mama on All In The Family, Vicki Lawrence.
written by Bobby Russell and performed in 1972 by his then-wife Vicki Lawrence.
Love the night the lights went out in Georgia
If you are going to listen to The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia you really need to listen to it (perhaps live) before watching the video. The song has a story and if you watch the music video, it's like a mini movie so it is very easy to miss the important part of the story in the song. The video is great, but it is best when you already know the story in the song.
Yeah that’s the name of the other song. I was thinking if there’s life out there, but night went out in Georgia is a good one
Yes ! I love both of those songs.
She was the Queen of music videos in the 80's ans 90's. I think you will love her, like most people do. Yes, she does act. She even had her own TV show, it was called Reba. She has also been in movies. She is a rodeo champ.Enjoy.
The ok ne movie that surprised me worh Reba was Fox and the Hound 2. I was like...How dod Reba get here? Most of her other roles make sense though. I adore her music.
She's also in the show Big Sky right now too, and had cameos on some other shows too including an occasional role on Young Sheldon. She's one of the best and one of my faves.
"Tremors"
Rodeo champ? C'mon now
@@duftyboxing yep, back in the day
You can rest assured if you hear Reba you KNOW its Reba lol. Her voice is absolutely unique.
GOAT! Mama turned her out to be an 'escort' since she was sick and had no money to take care of her and the baby. She was set on a path to 'service' men so she wouldn't starve and wound up with the right man who gave her wealth and position and fame. She's coming to grips with her beginnings. The sign at the end is how she will give back into her community now that she has money.
Side note: Coat of Many Colors is Dolly Parton. Also mega-superstar!
Try, "Does He Love You," with Linda Davis. The video. Reba has a deep, deep catalog and is an amazing human being as well as singer! She is also Kelly Clarkson's ex-mother-in-law (ish). Lol. She was Kelly's husband's stepmother, I think. Something like that!
Reba is definitely a GOAT of country music. She has a one of a kind voice. She has never made a bad song. Keep up the videos. They always make my day.
Reba is awesome at singing stories. I’d like to see you react to The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia, it’s another one of her hits that will have you on the edge of your seat. 🔥
Yessss
Her version is good, but the original is great.
I would love to see his reaction to 'The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia'!
You guys might wanna check my channel!! 🤣🤣🥴🔥 I just did it
Technically it was a cover by her, the original singer was someone else. But never the less it is a great cover all the same!
Reba is 100% a country legend and she can tell a story like no one. Please react to "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" by her! It's another story and another great example of her voice.
Reba has acted in films and television and starred in the television series Reba, which aired for six seasons. She currently has a recurring role on ABC's show Big Sky which has been running for three seasons. However, she is primarily a singer. She is not an actress who also sings. She is a singer who also acts. She has sold more than 75 million records worldwide and since the 1970s, she has placed over 100 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, with 25 reaching number one. She is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. My two favorite songs by Reba are "You're the First Time I've Thought About Leaving" and "Somebody Should Leave".
She was also in the original film, Tremors, with Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward
One of the biggest in country EVER
This song never fails to bring tears to my eyes. I remember listening to it growing up not really understanding it's meaning but as an adult, purely emotional. We Georgia girls are tough and always land on our feet😉 One of the best female country artists of all time.🐐
Yeah, this song hit me hard after I became a mother. I could not imagine myself in Fancy’s mother’s position. Before I just enjoyed the song, but now it brings me to tears.
I'm not sure who "We Georgia girls" are? Reba's from Oklahoma, and Fancy's from New Orleans.
Saw her with The King, George Strait himself. Fancy was her encore. When that yellow cab came in and she climbed out in that red dress……goosebumps
She also did that at her concert came onto stage in that cab had on the black coat and hat, ripped it off and had that Red dress underneath. Blew me away
Reba is one of the best country singers of all times. Her song Back to God is amazing and so true to the times we're living in.
My husband took me to see her live once. She helicopters in, and helicopters back out when she’s done. She is also an actress and a broadway star.
I have always believed that good music is good music no matter what the genre.
Facts ‼️‼️✅
You can’t go wrong with any Reba song!! She has an incredible catalog. She did a remake of her song “does he love you” with Dolly Parton, which was so great to have the 2 legends together.
I like the version of Does He Love You with Dolly okay but I LOVE the one with Kelly Clarkson
@@katherinehite1635 I also love the version with Kelly. The whole crossroads episode with Reba and Kelly was great. It was really fun to see them covering each others songs together.
I love Dolly and Reba separately, but I thought Dolly's voice was too soft for that duet (plus it was kinda funny the 'other woman' was somewhat older)
Doing this song, nothing but the original version in video is the way to go. The video is BOMB!
Bobby Gentry was the writer and first to record Fancy. What I grew up with
If someone hasn't mentioned it, Reba had a tv comedy series that ran for several years, too.
She also did a duet with Kelly clarkson "because of you" it's beautiful 😍
Reba's videos for her songs were always like mini-movies. She has done Broadway, starred in movies, and had her own sitcom called...Reba! She is a GOAT. Another video that is movie like and is a mix of two greats....Reba and Vince Gill did a duet called The Heart Won't Lie and their voices blend beautifully.
This was written and first sung by Bobby Gentry- the great singer/songwriter who created The Ballad of Billy Joe.
and she wanted to do this song well before this but no one would let her until this recording.
Reba is a country star. So many great songs, keep digging. You will be "fired"up.
Thank you. Enjoy the Reba music. So Many great artists out there to be discovered
All of Reba's songs are FIRE and her videos are all mini movies. She is definitely at the TOP. Her video for The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia is one of the best EVER!!
Try Reba's version of The Night the Lights went out in Georgia her version is Soo good! Also Does He Love You with Linda Davis!! My favorites by her along with Fancy
It’s up!!! 👀🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@ABtheKreator just saw it! I don't listen to country anymore, to me it's not country, but the 80's and 90's country was something special!! I never get tired of hearing it nor seeing your reactions to them!!
Total legend...could do...the night the lights went out in georgia...does he love you....his name was john....sooo many
I'm floored!! Reba is one of the most well known and successful female artist ever!! You can spend 24/7 for a week listening to her and you still wouldn't make it through her hits! "Because of You" with Kelly Clarkson (official video) and "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" are a good place to start! Probably should add "Does He Love You" with Linda Davis...official video!
Finally! I was wondering when you'd get to Reba.
Other recommendations of hers: When the lights went out in Georgia, Does he love you? (a duet), The greatest man I never knew
I haven't been to a lot of concerts but Reba was one of them. Too many great songs to pick a fave. This one is at the top.
You started a DEEP dive here AB, keep going. You'll never be disappointed.
One of the top female country singers of all time. Unique and powerful voice. Very accomplished performer.
The song "Fancy" was written and sung by Bobbie Gentry in 1969. It hit #26 in the Country Billboards and # 8 in the Contemporary Billboards in 1969 - 1970. Reba brought it to # 8 in the Country Billboards in 1991. Reba's cover also went Platinum
AB you going down a rabbit hole that's deep with Reba!! She's one of the greats. Love your reactions.
"You Lie" is my favorite... really showcases her voice.
That is such an amazing song
Your reaction to Reba made my day. She has been my favorite for 30yrs, since I was old enough to care.
I met her a few years ago at the medical facility in Denison, Texas, she founded. Our Bagpipe band played for her. She is a beautiful, classy lady. The last of the true COUNTRY music female artist. The ones coming out today cannot hold her coat for her.
Since you liked Vince Gill so good, she did a song with him 😊 “The heart won’t lie”
She’s a GOAT!! Should react to her song the night the lights went out next!! 👏🏻👏🏻
Yes Reba is 100% a GOAT of the country world. A true living legend.
This is actually a remake of the song, which was written and performed originally in 1969 by singer/songwriter Bobbie Gentry and was a massive hit at the time. You should also hear Bobbie's song "Ode to Billy Joe," which was her first hit. Reba did an excellent job here. It's hard to take an iconic song and make your version of it just as much of a hit as it was originally.
One of her greatest songs is She thinks his name was John. You have to do the live version, it will bring you to tears.
This is my favorite Reba song. Don't remember it getting played on the radio a lot.. probably because of the subject matter
Came here to say this. The live version of She Thinks His Name Was John is absolutely amazing - and heartbreaking.
@@Marysmith-kh7dt You are right; it did not get a lot of play especially in the "holier than thou" markets. The line about "pouring his tea" was a big deal because so many thought she was saying "pulling his teat" and were so offended by it. I tried so hard to correct this but no one wanted to hear it; their version fit their way of thinking.
@@Marysmith-kh7dt yes and apparently she was cautioned to not have the quilt at the end but of course we know she didn't listen.
I believe that's what's known as an answer song, to a song recorded by Conway Twitty.
This video comes from the era in which songs told a story. Her discography is phenomenal and keeps growing. She is 100% a GOAT.
Listen to Reba’s “You can hear me on the radio and especially Cowgirls don’t cry”
Reba is my favorite country singer by far, not only is she amazing at singing but the videos that she creates are almost all movie worthy! Since this song came out I have often wished they would make a movie of it. It's so hard to say what my favorite songs by her are but two that come to mind at this moment are The heart won't lie with Vince Gill and Somebody should leave. But there is a huge rabbit hole you can jump into with this one, she is just amazing! Voice, acting, work ethic and just an all around wonderful person. I've even read her book which is how I found out what rocky mountain oysters were lol never heard of them before reading that.
One of the greatest ever. My personal favorites include Cathy's Clown, Whoever's in New England, and Why Haven't I Heard from You. Does He Love You with Linda Davis (or Dolly, or Kelly Clarkson) is great as well.
Reba indeed put her stamp on the song Fancy as well as another song The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia. Be sure to check out Reba's video for that one too. Both are story telling songs that she does so well.
I wanted to add that these two songs are actually covers. Singer-songwriter Bobbie Gentry wrote and recorded Fancy in 1970. Actress-singer Vickie Lawrence recorded The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia in 1973.
Your next reaction should be "You Lie", it was one of earliest hits and in my opinion her best song, it really high lights this ladies high notes, just how easy and effortless she can sing.
Reba has a voice like no other and even though she's a country artist, she sings with soul and her songs cut to the "heart" of the matter. Try reviewing, "Whosever in New England" ... there are so many good Reba McIntire songs, Fancy was my daughters absolute favorite- Thank you for reviewing.
Reba is a wonderful person with a great acting career and music career… she had a show called Reba, that was aired for several years:)
Reba is the queen of country music so yes she's earned her seat in the country music hall of Fame. I was so in love with her when I was a boy.
I was lucky enough to run a spotlight for a three night concert run with Reba... she is an awesome person and so friendly
You need to listen to her version of "the night the lights go out in Georgia" I hope you see this
Reba is definitely a country legend please do more!! Especially some of her live bc her voice is actually that good
the story of Fancy is that she was poor, her mother was sick and she found a way to try and get her daughter out of there and in to a better life.... the sign was announcing the new site for a runaway shelter on her old homestead and it was dedicated to her mother
Reba is indeed a Country Music Queen and Icon!! She is also a songwriter, producer, actress among other things
Reba is a GODDESS in country music and a triple threat..
Reba is FIRE and I am not just talking about her hair. She is an absolute female country singing legend like Dolly Parton. Reba has that natural country twang that cannot be taught. If you like her songs that also tell stories, you should check out The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia. So good.
Great reaction!! it didn't take you 2 seconds to know that she is one of the GOATs...
Reba and George strait are GOAT's of country music
Don't ever mess with REBA... she is REBA.. the best.. Saw her again 2 summers ago at my Delaware State Fair... she rocked it again and when she does this song.. just amazing. I think I've seen her live 3 or 4 times.. but she always brings it. It was over 100 degrees.. I didn't even want to be in the stands.. (but it was Reba).. she never missed a beat.
Reba has a long and glorious catalog. I have yet to encounter a bad song in it. I could list songs for days, but one of my favorites is "Consider Me Gone". Also her duet with Vince Gill "The Heart Won't Lie" is fantastic. So many more amazing songs and collaborations... Her duet with Brooks and Dunn "If You See Him/If You See Her", and with Linda Davis "Does He Love You" (recently remade by Reba dueting with Dolly Parton).
All good choices! Her other Brooks & Dunn duet 'cowgirls don't cry' reminds me of some people in my family - so I love it, and it gets to me...
@@souledout08 yes, amazing song! Gets me every time!
Didn't think you'd ever hear of her any time soon 😂 Ik you've listen to country but hardly anyone remembers Reba now a days. But since you're on the Reba topic, you should watch her show from 2001-2006 literally called "Reba" it a great hoot 😂
One of the best sitcoms, it's 6 seasons long but it's pretty hilarious. Trust me you'd like it.
When I was little, I listened to country. As a teen, it was rock. Then, it was "New Country" with George Strait, Clint Black, K.T. Oslin, and REBA. Reba is an absolute country legend.
Reba's Does He Love You with Linda Davis is a MUST!!
React to Reba McIntyre: the night the lights went out
She is one of the greatest in country music, legend….I’ve seen her in concert and it was an amazing show!!! She has been doing movies and she even had a sitcom named Reba and it’s hilarious
She Is of the GOATs. She's my fav female country singer
Amazes me that there is someone out there who has not heard of Reba. 🤯
🙌🏾😅💯✅✅✅ I’m wit the shats now 🔥🔥🔥
Gorgeous voice, gorgeous lady, inside and out, like the queen, Dolly Parton. Both also have a twinkle of mischief about them.
Yes, Reba is an actress, she had her own sitcom.
The night the lights went out in Georgia is one of my favorites of Reba's and would be a good one for your channel.
Yeah Reba is a GOAT of country music. She had a TV show. she has been in movies. And like Dolly is still traveling and doing concerts in big and smaller venues. She even did one in my town of Cherokee NC. She knows her roots and her fan base. Love her. Love your reaction.
Ya man, this is one of the top 10% country songs AND video's of country music. Reba is a heavy weight. It digs deep and makes a man wanna cry, right?
Reba has done music and movies and TV. Her show "Reba" is still going in reruns years later.
Absolutely do a live performance. You know you’re a GOAT when you go by one name- Reba. She is an amazing storyteller and true performer
I love when people try a genre they never have before, and it hits them so powerfully. This is so great to see.
When I got a tape player as a child the first tape I bought at 10 with my own money was the tape that had this song. She has been my favorite artist for as long as I can remember.
Yup she’s definitely the GOAT! I’m a brown girl that grew up in middle of nowhere Wheaton, Missouri so Reba was life! 💜
Reba is my absolute favorite! She has so many great songs!
Reba is the QUEEN of country music! She has soooo many good songs you can listen to. But please continue on the Reba journey you won't be sorry.
Reba had her own TV show and was in a few movies including Tremors.
This was the very first song I heard of Reba's as a kid. Absolute queen! And she still slays! Hers and many others in that time period created not just music but stories you can't help but stop and just listen.
Reba is one of the pillars of country music. She has decades in the industry.
This woman does it all. Acts, sings, writes. You name it, she does it. Her TV sitcom "Reba" is hilarious.
Reba's been out since the early 80's and she's a queen.
I can't believe you have reacted to Reba yet??!!! How did we miss this!!! And yes she is one of the Goats of country. And most of her videos are little movie's.
Yes, Reba acts. She's been in multiple movies and has had her own TV Shows.
This is written by Bobby Gentry and I love that original version too.
Oh sweetie, you have now started down a rabbit hole that will change your life. Fancy is a great place to start because you get to learn from the get go that she is very often about the story. In her stories there are twists and turns that will set your head spinning and the end will almost always surprise you. Some examples of this are "Does He Love you" and "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia". Some you will likely need a box of tissues with you when you watch them, "Is There Life Out There", "He Gets That From You" and well, most of her duets. I do love watching the birth of a new Reba fan. Welcome
When I first heard this song I listened to it over and over my sister couldn't understand why I liked it so much I played it for her and she was hooked also
She is both an extremely talented singer/song writer but also a great actress and comedian.
Reba is a Goat.. He music tells storie and makes you cry
Queen Reba! The Queen of Country
Reba was my mom's favorite artist of all time. I grew up listening to her and have always loved it. Her videos are amazing one of my favorites is The Night The Lights went out in Georgia
She also had a sitcom called Reba....really good.
Your face when she started singing.
Priceless.
Reba was in a band with her 2 siblings before her fame. She played guitar and wrote all the songs for the band.
My mom listened to Reba a lot, one of my favorite country singers
The Queen. The legend..🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
She is in the top 10 GOAT Country Music singers of ALL time, for sure!!!!!!
Yes, Reba is a singer AND an actress. She had a great TV Show, as well. In this video she was going home after her Momma had gave her the only shot she could
When she began her career, Country Music always told a story. Reba's songs always told a story, and so she typically made Music Videos to accompany her songs that gave her songs some story exposition. Thus, you get these beautiful movie-quality videos where the singer is acting out the story she wants to portray with the song. Although Reba did start a short career in acting in the horror-comedy movie called Tremors with Kevin Bacon, Fred Ward, and Michael Gross! Afterwards, she started doing acting and actually had her own TV series called Reba! It was a lovely little comedy show!
