I was hoping it’d be Osaka during the Onin civil war in the Muromachi period, where a dispute between Hosokawa Katsumoto and Yamana Sozen, erupted into a nationwide civil war over the Ashikaga Shogunate and a number of Daimyo lords
Another thing interesting about Osaka is that it's fairly close to a lot of historically and culturally significant places in Japan as part of the Kansai region: Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, etc. Given the huge scale of the RPG games' maps, I'd have to assume the entire Kansai region along with Chubu, Kanto, and Chugoku regions are in the game, which are all central and western parts of the big island of Honshu that were part of Japanese civilization. Maybe Tohoku and the islands of Shikoku and Kyushu. I'd be really surprised if Hokkaido was involved unless there's some Isu sites there or they really want to delve into the conflict between the Yamato Japanese and the indigenous Ainu population. I have to say I feel we as a community have been waiting for this game since day one, now that the clock is finally ticking down I'm worried about it and don't want to get my hopes up. They've picked a hell of a time period to try and save the franchise with, I mean, I can't be the only one who is thinking this. That being said, my thought about the tower of bable when you mentioned it went straight to the esu item. And just one more thing, I wonder if they are going to portray Oda Nobunaga as a hero or as a villain
I know some chinese Japanese has a lot of loanwords from chinese, 家 like in the red banner can also mean family. keep in mind that these words were loaned a long time ago, but maybe it refers to the brotherhood as a family which is closer together than ever, where you attack a target together /in a group or that you play as multiple characters who are family, you play through their lineage? asin a 'hidden ones family', just an option
I will just say that if this game is going to have Nobunaga and Hideyoshi as characters that are featured in the story then we are firmly still in the middle of the Sengoku Jidaii and not near the beginning of the Edo period.
Can’t wait to ride dragons and cast spells, teleport and summon demons. You know the typical AC experience where it’s just fantasy nonsense instead of a good almost believable story.
I have been waiting for shadows to be a part of stealth because it feels absolutely sublime to hide in plain sight while being undetected. Sounds counterintuitive but it makes sense trust me lol Excited for the game and subsequent trailers, however I just hope they don’t rush their developers to deliver on that date. Safety and peace, assassins
It is true we have a male protagonist that we cant even use the hidden blade with? Really wanted to play as a full stealth build with a Japanese male protag that can actually use the hidden blade. Not some 6 foot 5 bulky samurai that stands out like a sore thumb.
Ngl I'm really hyped for another assassin's creed game that is taking the full part of a regions history and implementing it into a hopefully fleshed out game. I'm actually really glad that Yasuke is one of the protagonists as it corresponds to the original modern day of the franchise.
AC: Rising would have been good, but probably can't use due to Rise of the Ronin. I'm thinking AC: Wrath would sound cool. It's powerful and a nice call back to Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven.
I'm hoping the reveal trailer will get everyone hyped up. I'm sure Ubisoft has learned from its mistakes and genuinely wants to put out a game that fans will love.
Man Why you keep saying it’s set in Edo Period? Which starts after 1603 Cause if Protagonist Yasuke is based on actual Yasuke, he arrived in Japan in late 1570s with Jesuit Missinories and sold to Oda Nobunaga, who he served till June of 1582 when Oda was betrayed by his Ally Akechi Mitsuhide and killed alongside most of his family, Yasuke was captured and Mitsude didn’t seemed him worthy of execution for whatever reason so gave him back to Jesuits, after that what happened to him is uncertain, maybe they can make story of that uncertain part of his life
After finishing 100%ing mirage in the first 2 days and then AC: Nexus my desire for a new ac game was reignited. Can’t wait to finally see feudal Japan even if it is an RPG game!
I hope we get some modern era assassin missions along with the feudal era missions, like in assassin’s creed three maybe even a clan builder and trade system as well
Sounds like were going to own Izakayas and use them as safehouses It doesnt sounds like it but im gonna have a go anyway: The tower behind the teaser is going to be used to contact the Izu or channel a weapon/P.O.E
I really hope Shadows is during the sengoku jidai and not edo period though. Nobunaga and Hattori Hanzo are both in AC lore if I'm not mistaken so it would be cool to see them both in game but they were both dead (or atleast Nobunaga) before the beginning of the Edo period. I'm hoping we can see historical events like the Honnoji incident (Akechi Mitsuhide betrayed and killed Oda Nobunaga at Honnoji temple, which could possibly be a big turning point in the story), Sekigahara, and other important battles in Japanese history.
Considering we might play as Yasuke, Honnoji Incident should definitely be included as Yasuke was Nobunagas personal Weapon bearer and also fought alongside him and his sons
@@thesilentassassin1167 Yeah good point, it's debated on how much he actually did in history, but if we are playing as Yasuke, it'd definitely make sense to have it. And if Yasuke is one of the playable characters, the game likely would be Sengoku Jidai unless we're playing as him when he's older.
Interesting thing to note is in the upcoming world premiere trailer on Ubisoft's channel, the description said "November 15th 2024" but got removed very quickly.

I know some chinese Japanese has a lot of loanwords from chinese, 家 like in the red banner can also mean family. keep in mind that these words were loaned a long time ago, but maybe it refers to the brotherhood as a family which is closer together than ever, where you attack a target together /in a group or that you play as multiple characters who are family, you play through their lineage? asin a 'hidden ones family', just an option
or maybe they're going back to having the historic character and the modern day character be related.
Of course it's shadows. They're gonna be ninjas
9 - 22 stands for 09:00 to 22:00 I'm waging (9 am to 10 pm)
I will just say that if this game is going to have Nobunaga and Hideyoshi as characters that are featured in the story then we are firmly still in the middle of the Sengoku Jidaii and not near the beginning of the Edo period.
Can’t wait to ride dragons and cast spells, teleport and summon demons. You know the typical AC experience where it’s just fantasy nonsense instead of a good almost believable story.
The Assassin Brotherhood did operate in Osaka, as it was called the Osaka Brotherhood of Assassins.
Someone with the same taste in profile pictures very nice also the code for the you didn’t know translates to shinobi
If the babel star translation is correct then it may be an isu artifact like the apple of eden or the staff of hermes.
I highly recommend watching shogun show for the people who wants to get a grasp of the settings
I don't care what anyone says, Valhalla is a good game
I have been waiting for shadows to be a part of stealth because it feels absolutely sublime to hide in plain sight while being undetected. Sounds counterintuitive but it makes sense trust me lol
Excited for the game and subsequent trailers, however I just hope they don’t rush their developers to deliver on that date.
Safety and peace, assassins
I did a bit of digging but I'm not entirely sure if it's right or not but apparently that white sign says "no entry" or "entry prohibited"
I'm impressed you managed to make a 13min video from an 8 second showing of a billboard.
i quite like the new name! its simple but effective> i really do hope that shadows implies a stealth focus
It is true we have a male protagonist that we cant even use the hidden blade with? Really wanted to play as a full stealth build with a Japanese male protag that can actually use the hidden blade. Not some 6 foot 5 bulky samurai that stands out like a sore thumb.
I Love the name.
The ghost of Tsushima music in the background is so good
The sign board says 9-22, so maybe 22nd of September might be the launch
Bro you are so blessed for seeing it early
I was talking like month ago it will be Shadows 🌚
japanese signs
Pedestrian-only road from 9am to 10pm
Ngl I'm really hyped for another assassin's creed game that is taking the full part of a regions history and implementing it into a hopefully fleshed out game. I'm actually really glad that Yasuke is one of the protagonists as it corresponds to the original modern day of the franchise.
How does Yasuke correspond to the "original modern day of the franchise"?
What
AC: Rising would have been good, but probably can't use due to Rise of the Ronin. I'm thinking AC: Wrath would sound cool. It's powerful and a nice call back to Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven.
First
Time I’ve been excited for assassin’s creed since origins
I'm hoping the reveal trailer will get everyone hyped up. I'm sure Ubisoft has learned from its mistakes and genuinely wants to put out a game that fans will love.
Sounds like a stretch, but the signs had 9-22. Could that be the release date
Turns out that's a no; Just times for biking.
My man became Access The Animus for this video!
Man Why you keep saying it’s set in Edo Period? Which starts after 1603
Cause if Protagonist Yasuke is based on actual Yasuke, he arrived in Japan in late 1570s with Jesuit Missinories and sold to Oda Nobunaga, who he served till June of 1582 when Oda was betrayed by his Ally Akechi Mitsuhide and killed alongside most of his family, Yasuke was captured and Mitsude didn’t seemed him worthy of execution for whatever reason so gave him back to Jesuits, after that what happened to him is uncertain, maybe they can make story of that uncertain part of his life
After finishing 100%ing mirage in the first 2 days and then AC: Nexus my desire for a new ac game was reignited. Can’t wait to finally see feudal Japan even if it is an RPG game!
The fact it's coming on my birthday is goated
About that title... 0 imagination :D
Bro... Finally we got a teaser.
That’s when my sister is gonna graduate from high school! 2:35
I hope we get some modern era assassin missions along with the feudal era missions, like in assassin’s creed three maybe even a clan builder and trade system as well
Ironic since people hated the modern day parts of AC3.
@@dragonbornexpress5650what I love it
"Teahouse tolerance' I believe it's actually Teahouse of Tolerance, aka an eufemism for "prostitution houses", so courtesan use.
I’m so sad no more Desmond soon 😢
Sounds like were going to own Izakayas and use them as safehouses
It doesnt sounds like it but im gonna have a go anyway: The tower behind the teaser is going to be used to contact the Izu or channel a weapon/P.O.E
Imagine if able to hide in the shadows literally means hiding in a shadow and teleport to shadow to shadow.
I don't think that's gonna be the case, but who knows.
Got teaser right before GoT pc launch? It would be a perfect week if Sony didnt delisted GoT 😢
