Bro, just bought one today! Thx for sharing. Can’t wait to shoot and work on my images! I develop and also print. Love your vid! Keep climbing 👌🏽
Thanks so much!! Hope you love it 🙌
Just came across your channel and I’m loving the content!!
Thanks my friend!
Good video. Congratulations. Thanks for the information. I like that you got right to the point without unnecessary preamble!
Thanks! I'm always a fan of that in videos I watch, so trying to do the same
Dude you are so cool. Such a great vibe. Subscribed
Appreciate it friend - subbed back!
Awesome video and photos! I just picked up a RB67 Pro S with a 127 f/3.8 still working of my first roll in it. Trying out some Kodak Tmax but maybe I’ll try some Delta next!
Hope you have a blast with it! Looking to shoot a roll of Tmax soon as well
Great portraits man! I guess you’ve got inspired from those 6/7 favourite photographer you were talking about even for the style of you’re portraiture.
Could you share with us who are them?
thanks so much! favorite photographers - taylor pendleton, alex massek & andrew thompson to name a few
Nothing like film!!!
Very nice! Keep up the good work and have fun with film!
Thanks so much Klaus!
I have this camera and love it.
It's really a gem.
Great video! I've been ujsing Delta for 35 years - superb film. The negative size on medium format means that you can get away with the slightly coarser grain that you'll have with a 400asa film compared with a 100asa film. Faster shutter speeds and easier handholding - not that you'd want to do too much handheld stuff with the RB!!
True on all fronts! It's a superb film 🙌
For fine grain try Ilford Pan F 50
Nice, dude!
Thanks brother! Means a TON coming from you 🙏
It's informative and interesting.
Thanks so much Janusz!
Hey Logan! These portraits look great and I love shooting with Delta 400!
Thanks Nuno - glad you love it too!
Great camera! I have the RZ67
They're both epic - would love to pick up an RZ as well someday
Well done Logan, you have set the bar very high, very enjoyable, easy listening voice. GREAT images, can’t go wrong with Mamiya and i’m also a big fan of Delta 400. I also use the 90 & 110 for the RZ 😎, and looking forward to the next video. #Londonlovesyou (V) (V) (V)
Thanks so much my friend! Appreciate the encouragement a ton. Always goo to hear from another Mamiya shooter 🙌
Nice start!
Thanks Brent!
Nailed it!
Thanks my friend!
I’m also from AZ! Got my first medium format, Mamiya RB67, coming Friday. Looking forward to using it. Enjoy!
Love that you're from AZ! Hope you have a great time using it as well.
Great video
Thanks Alik!
Lovely portraits. Glad to hear you advocating for Delta 400. I normally reach for HP5 (or FP4 if I want fine grain). But I will try this stock too.
Thanks Nelson! You'll have to let me know how you like it.
Yes, in 67, the t grain films are leaning digital. The fp4 is less expensive and still has the film look with plenty of detail. However, it is a slower film than say t max 400. I like ilford 3200 on 645 for me, the perfect size grain in mf for portraits.
Thanks for the video.
The primary reason I purchased my RB67 was for portraits.
Here are the lenses I use for portraits:
250mm f/4.5 for tight face shots
180mm f/4.5 for ½ length and head & shoulder portraits
150mm f/4 SF for soft focus portraits
90mm f/3.8 for full-length, ¾ length, and environmental portraits
50mm f/4.5 for group portraits and environmental portraits
That's a sweet lineup of lenses. Hoping to add a couple of those to my arsenal in the near future!
The 127 is supposed to be a really great lens too! Super stoked about the series and I'm looking at an RB67 myself
Thanks my friend! I'm definitely hoping to pick up the 127 at some point. Would highly recommend the RB - it's a ton of fun
Great shots man. Hope you make more videos like this. :)
I’ve been really into Delta 3200 lately. Would love to see a video of your shooting it.
Thanks my friend! I actually have a roll of Delta 3200 that’s been sitting in my fridge for months - sounds like it’s time to load it 🙌🏼
@@logan.bonjean I look forward to seeing it. 😊 embrace the grain. 😀
Great video! Thank you very much for this video. I do a lot of portraits with a Wista45 camera at 4x5 inch. I'm looking for a camera that would give me a bit of the same feel and quality and I'm tempted at the moment by a Mamiya RB67.
You bet! I think you'd love an RB67 - gets close to that large format look without being too cumbersome
I love those portraits.. A coupla questions: Did you use strobe or natural light? Do you still have this camera or sold it? How much did you get it for then?
Delta 400 is nice
It's excellent!
You picked an excellent camera. Definitely switch over to the Sekonic light meter it will give more precise exposure results. The 90mm lens is a great base lens but you may want to pick up a 127mm lens for street shots and such. Very good video.
Thanks Dave! Appreciate the encouragement & the suggestions 🙏🏼
Congrats on your first video, I just picked up the rb67 for the second time. I gave up on it too fast the first time. I got the 90mm and 180mm lens to do mostly portraits. It has been hard to go from 6x6 format to 6x7, have you ever tried the square format?
Thanks my friend! I've heard the 180mm is really great for portraits - that's definitely the next lens I want to pick up. I haven't shot any 6x6 before, but I've been pretty enamored with the Hasselblad 501c for a while. Hope I get to shoot with one someday!
The 6x6 square was my favorite medium format aspect ratio until I tried 6x7.
@@Narsuitus I am finding that out about the RB67, it just has been a pleasant shooting experience but I don't know if that is due to it being new to my collection. Time will tell when I get the the first couple of rolls back from the lab.

Back in my film only days, I shot a lot of weddings and portraits and usually made 8x10 inch and 16x20 inch prints.
When using 6x6cm medium format cameras, I did not have to worry about portrait or landscape orientation while shooting. However, I did have to remember to leave enough space around the subjects because the 6x6mm image square image would have to be cropped to make the rectangular 8x10 or 16x20 prints.
When I switched to 6x7cm medium format cameras, I did not have to worry about leaving space around the subjects because the 6x7cm rectangular image was very compatible with the rectangular shape of 8x10 and 16x20 prints. However, it took me a while to remember to rotate the RB67 back to the desired portrait or landscape orientation.
whatsup with this new square aspect ratio on your vid. i like it!! :)
Thanks! Just experimenting with stuff :)
