Scott, your content is amazing, informative & soul soothing. You’ve got the legs, lungs & heart of a bionic man. Thank you for sharing your adventures, specially your Yosemite hikes.
Your solo adventure through the Eastern Sierra looks incredible! The Mammoth Crest Loop offers such breathtaking views, especially once you reach the crest and see the Sierra Nevada range laid out before you. It must have been amazing to camp at Barney Lake under the stars after such a rewarding hike. Very nice vidoe for sure 👌
I just returned from eastern Sierra realizing how fortunate I am to live on the coast but have Sierras so close. Ur campsite looked identical to mine including the lake but it's not just shows the beauty of it all. Buen Camino
Aw, so beautiful--and quite a long walk! Thanks for showing how you pack your stuff, I'm a beginner so need the hints and a lot of practice. Tried the mattress I got and it is so darn noisy--haha, will keep everyone awake I guess. I like the string light idea. Hope to get permits somewhere in those gorgeous mountains next summer. Thanks for the beautiful hiking scenery!!
Great Video! I was just thinking that there were no new adventures to watch and I didn't want a gear review. This really hit the spot. I'll have to watch your stuff a bit. It's a lot like what I was trying to do with my recent stuff.
scottie fitz at it again! I hike up to crystal lake all the time and always take a break to soak in that same view overlooking lake george and mary. you've convinced me to do this trip
That would be North Lake. Thanks for your content. I love the Sierras too and enjoy each of your videos. I often travel the same trails as you. Someday I hope our paths cross. Thanks again!
Fantastic hike! I camped at Barney Lake two weeks ago, so beautiful up there. Can't believe you get all your gear in that small pack! Regarding the talus field going up out of Deer Lakes, it looks like the trail has been tramped down so you can actually see it to follow it. Can you provide more details of what it's like and if you can actually see a trail to follow once you get up there?
Always good to get high as quickly as possible -- and the eastern Sierra excels for that purpose. Thanks for making the extra effort to bring us along! Oh, and the OG hikers call those shallow lakes "tarns", probably after the Scotsman whose name now applies to the wilderness area you're in!
Delightful. As usual, your presentarion makes me feel like I was there too and would always no what was coming up next if i got up off the couch and started walking. The preview at the beginning is effective. What was the date of your hike?
Great video! Quick question when you go to those places to film for UA-cam do you need a film permit or am I fine to record? Was just wondering because you’ve inspired me to go on my own adventures but I don’t want to brake any rules or laws
Thanks! Btw, i have a suggestion/request for a future episode: list of the best dayhikes IYO in Eastern Sierras. My family and I are avid hikers, but prefer dayhiking over backcountry camping. I'm not from Cali, so not familiar with all the little roads off of 395 that seem to provide access to some great gems. Would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your question! There is a little and very faint trail leading and winding up the talus pass from the upper deer lake.

Thank you so much 😊 Hiked the trail in late July and would do it again!
Excellent video. What tent is that you are using?
Thank you 🙏 Big Agnes Fly Creek UL 2
I do 4 nights solo quite often. Going to Yosemite in November.
Thanks
Awesome! Which trail in November?
From white wolf TH to the Toulumne river

Great video, Scott. Thanks for product info. What kind of sun hoodie and cap are you wearing here?
Thank you so much 😊 Coal hat and north face sun hoodie….working on putting together a revised gear list.

Question…which size bear canister is that?
A bear vault 450
It’s faux Lee ij. Not foil ij. Great video.
I am still learning English, so I appreciate you pointing that out!😉 Thank you! 🙏
The day after the election.
This gave me a good distraction.
Thanks.
