We’re still booked at Hyatt House for our first DL trip this summer. I spent so much time looking at hotels, including on-property. For the money, distance, and included amenities, Hyatt House kept winning. And we got a room with bunk beds in a separate space for kiddo. Here’s hoping we love it!!

You will. Just remember the walk feels longer at night than in the am. It’s a win if traveling with kids or teens. Have fun 🤩

Thanks for the detailed review. We’re staying there in September. Miss seeing you on The Dis but loved your Three Bridges cameo.

Deni, I was so happy to see this! I made myself watch it before commenting , because that’s how excited I was. 😂 Apologies in advance for the lengthy comment, but I hope this helps some of your FL friends (and there’s a note about a hotel in Orlando that Brian might try on his next WDW run)
Oregon resident, DL is my “home park” and love, but I’ve been to WDW and Universal many times. My daughter was in the CIP twice. This is for context, as we usually stay on property in Orlando (although I’m partial to Swan & Dolphin and had an excellent stay for the first Star Wars run at the Hilton at Bonnet Creek (which has a new name, I believe). **They have an EXCELLENT pkg for Run weekends with pre race food and a shuttle that runs more smoothly than I’ve heard the ones on property do. Very fair pricing also.
Excellent review. I’ve stayed there when it was newer. It looks a little more dated, but it’s also been 10 years. Breakfast is on point and can’t beat having a Rite Aid right downstairs. Other recommendations, Ho Jo, closer, very clean and more Disney touches. SunCoast Park Hotel by Hilton. Hugest rooms I’ve ever seen. Hotel Indigo. For more budget oriented , my husband and daughter have stayed at the Best Western across the street from entrance to DL. For luxury that is higher than the DL hotels provide (ie room service, daily housekeeping, larger, newer rooms) The Westin and JW Marriott. I’m finding The Westin to be my go to lately, although it’s a tad spendy, but still less than DL.
FL friends, the walks in the am don’t seem terribly long, but after a day at the parks, an Uber back is a godsend, if you haven’t rented a car.
Full disclosure, I am a Patreon of yours and have followed you since The Dis. Miss seeing you with Ryno and Craig, but am so happy for you that you’ve found a new outlet for your creativity. Cheers🎉 P.S. I TRULY love the DL hotel and have stayed there (and prbly will again), but the savings AND perks at the other hotels make it harder and harder to justify. And the rooms are charming, but small. Again, info for FL friends.

One of our favorite off site hotels. We prefer to stay onsite but discovered this during Covid before the Disney Hotels opened. We really enjoyed and normally get the 2 queen suite. It's so nice to be able to spread out with the kitchen and living room,. I just wish it were across the street where the Best Western is, lol. Another hotel that pleasantly surprised me was the Old School Candy Cane Inn. Very cute, extremely clean and the trolley to the park was great.

You asked for suggestions, so here are some of my favorites. SunCoast and Ayres Orange are top of my list, but you'll definitely need a car for Ayres. It's not within walking distance and the Uber situation around Disneyland is super predatory lately. SunCoast is about a 10-15 minute walk or you can take the ART. Both are really wonderful. I'm also very fond of the Anaheim Hotel. From what few videos I've seen of yours, I think you'd be really delighted by it. Looking forward to my stay at Hyatt House in less than 2 weeks.

That’s such unfortunate timing for the hot water issues! I’m glad they made an effort to rectify the situation. I’ve stayed twice at Hyatt House, really rate the location and decent breakfast.

Great video!! I always wanted to hear about the good neighbor hotels at Disneyland. I’m glad the hotel accommodate for the loss of hot water - good to hear about the hotel. Thanks for sharing!!

I stayed at the Fairfield once. Seeing the walk towards Disneyland again brought back fun memories. Apparently there are two ihops near the entrance because I was next to a different one.
