The best way to avoid a damn leak, DON’T USE INFLATABLE PADS! I got tired of always patching pin holes! I thought those closed cell foam pads would be horrible.... I bought the EXPED FLEXMAT PLUS and it’s great!!!! Besides it being bulky, it’s barely a pound in weight but leak free for LIFE!!!! 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Why not use the repair kit that comes with the sleeping pad? No glue is requred. I had to repair my XLite a few years ago and it worked very well. Now I try to have a patch or two from that Thermarest repair kit with me every time I go backpaking.
Use the Leatherman squirt ps4 instead of the dime. I was going thru a dime every year cuz the build quality was so terrible. After the 3rd one, I dumped it and got the suirt instead. The Ps4 has been holding up for 3 years and still going strong.
Had a thorn puncture my Nemo, slapped on a hydrocolloid band-aid worked great.
What's the reason for this type of repair vs Tenacious Tape? Seems like tape would be much simpler in the field.
I also patched a burn hole in my Snugpak Jungle Blanket with that tape - adheres amazingly, and isn't rough to the touch. Great video.

You can cut two sections and attach your pillow there, if you do it right you have an indestructible 450 gram foam weapon

If the pad was super old, and the entire valve came unglued, what type of glue would you use to glue the valve assembly back in place?

We want to see the blooper reel where you glue your beard to the pad.
Another unrepairable pad hole is created when a seam between baffles gives way especially in multiple places.
The new thermarest winglock valve keeps failing 3 pads in a row so far.
