I'm no purest, but you might know where my head's at. However... I so envy what you can do with a bike like the KLR and all the other dual sport bikes. The cross country trips you can take on those things are freakin killer.
SaddleTramp every motorcycle style and company has their place, as well as every rider. My happy place is backroads and trails. Not to mention the comfort and ride quality I get from the KLR. All Tourers/Baggers can haul a ton of gear for touring, but only Adventure Bikes can get you there without having to walk.
I’m currently looking for as many “Minimum Maintenance” roads as possible. I need to swap my GoPro to my new helmet, and I’ll get some footage up! If your from the area, send me a message of Facebook, IG, or Twitter and we’ll plan a ride sometime! Thank you for your comment!!!
Love my KLR, i also have a custom HD Bagger and a custom chopper and by far enjoy the KLR. currently out on a cross country tour on it. did a Eagle Mikes 685 upgrade also. if you plan on any off road, Replace the stock bash plate , get better hand guards. enjoyed the video. welcome to the KLR hillbilly owners club .
SupRBee ADV Thank you so much sir! How’s the new trailer tire doing? Dash kit will be here Monday, DG is sending an exhaust for install/review at some point as well. Skid plate will be next, then I’m going to save for a Cogent setup. Thank you for the comment, and I absolutely love your setup man!! Safe travels!
@@WetBananaMike the shinko E705 is great for the trailer. pretty decent tire all around actually and cheap. Heading down to Mulege Baja Sur mexico in November for a few months.
Well! I ride a Dyna. Lol but it is a funny story. I have always owned American motorcycles. Because of kids and Job I gave up riding for 10 years. A friend of mine wanted to go to Sturgis in 2018 so I told him I’m going to buy the cheapest motorcycle I can find and go to Sturgis so I bought a 2006 klr I had to do some upgrades to it. But I spent $2200 on it. Rode it to Sturgis and back 3800 miles no problems! I loved my klr. When I got home in September I was riding and a guy stopped me and asked me if I wanted to trade my bike for a Dyna. And I did it.! I’ve had to rebuild it. But I still miss my klr. Lol. I will get another one one day.
Different strokes for different folks, I'm a short shit at 5,5 and just bought an 883, I like the style, but I wouldn't mind doing the kit for sure, I was looking at adventure bikes like the vstrom and Honda cb500x but I'm new to riding and with my height it's a bitch to find something I can plant booth feet on the ground at a stop on.
Nice ride and your audio is still good! I agree...Harley is not THE ONLY bike out there. I tried out about 6 types of bikes before I decided on mine. Gah dayummm at the round-abouts there!! I think you move your head around as much as I do when I'm riding. And it does sound like a 4-wheeler. lol As a matter of fact, I have seen a couple of yellow motorcycles that I would own.

Good to see the KLR videos starting to get pumped out, Mike!
D-Cycle I don’t make as many as I could, but I’m at least trying!
I'm happy that you found a bike you love.
Busted Knuckles me too! Thank you Knuckles!
Damn Mike, good video the KLR is pretty bad ass. Keep the videos coming
Good vid Mike....really happy for you that you found your best motorcycle self on the KLR!
kidmoto22 TY Ryan!
Love the KLR. I'll be waiting to see some dirt road rides. The Scenic River Road going from Topeka to Lawrence is a nice ride.

Good way to sell your Harley would be to take it to Sandoval's Harley World Record Parade Oct 5th. Just a thought.
OJ Utter that’s not a bad idea!
