      @@meeranow it's the holy script of Sikhi. Sikhs see Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as their living Guru. It contains all the true wisdom, anyone can apply in their lives to meet God while being alive this is a Sikhs goal.

      The Hare Krishna Vedic scriptures are the same and goal to unite with Krishna. ( God) Christians the Holy Bible and Jesus, they also want you to connect with Jesus (God) within as well. It is the true goal of all religions actually as this video shows, it’s the same with holy scripture from the guru. Not many devotees are truly devoted, in all religions. ❤ To know empirically is such a blessing of bliss. 🙏🏽

    Growing up I always struggled to understand the real meaning of Sikhism. As a teenager I became resentful to the “strict” rules of not cutting my hair. I had a very negative view point of Sikhism. I always questioned what is the true purpose of life and why does religion matter. It was only when I came across Nanak Naam that I had a light bulb moment. Satpal ji explains everything so beautifully. I am now a proud Sikh and working towards the removal of this I Me mentality. Life has not been easy for me and I always looked for answers outside. This channel has taught me that I have to look within to change the direction of mg life. I am forever thankful to the teachings of Sikhism and for satpal ji to interpret them so well in an easy to understand format. 🙏

    What I am most impressed with, is that Satpal manages to stay fighting his own emotions and ego, even as he receives (steadily) more adoration for his rigorous searching. I hope for his sake, and his own growth, he remains earnest, humble, and rigorous until his time is up on this globe ❤️🙏🏾

You have touched on some of the historical and political contexts of the growth and practices of Sikhism. Also, you speak to (what I understand as) Guru Nanak's vision and practice to bring humans deep, wise insight and ways of dealing with themselves and each other in life. To me, you are practicing and teaching (modeling) that foundation that is what Nanak was showing we need to carry us through the human condition and life. 🙏

    Bhai Satpal Ji, thank you for your channel. Ive been a spiritual seeker for a long time, and the truths i have learned, from many faiths and even esoteric teachings, are actually echoed by the guru. You've explained so much of sikhi philosophy for me! As someone who doesnt speak punjabi, i didnt have access to this knowledge on my own, and the way you break things down makes it easy to learn.

  • @WhatIsThereTo
    @WhatIsThereTo Рік тому +2

    Great talk Satpal Ji. It's so refreshing to see that someone is putting work to divert the focus of the teachings of Guru from outside to inside. The emphasis that how the inner journey is such an uphill battle makes total sense.
    I always say that cutting or keeping Kesh, both are easy taks. And so is taking Amrit or not taking, but did you allow the Gurbani to transform you internally, break the shackles tied around your mind and have a completely new perspective on your life. The experience of life will always be spiritual, and for all sentient beings it will remain spiritual, even for the non-sentient beings. The Guru is telling you to shed or drop what you have been holding onto, the stuff that you think is important and experience his everlasting grace, and realize that you too are a part of him, infact saying a part of him is also not true. Only He is, you are not.
    I have been a great fan of your talks, and want to express my gratitude for the work you are doing.
    And I request people to go on their own journeys to find the truth instead of following or being caught up in ideologies like we have been. I see so many Sikh channels promoting political ideologies and always talking about the outside stuff. Even the talks about the Guru and internal have a motive to better the experience of outside. But no talks about how absolutely fragile the outside is. How all the ideologies of looking like a Sikh can be shattered in a second. Imagine if Guru Nanak comes to Earth, sees all the Nihang Singhs with Amrit and says you know "Keeping hair is not that necessary", Imagine the turmoil in that person's heart, that all his ideas, education, experience, and understanding of Sikhi will be shattered in a split of a second. All the path that he did in vain. And the question is not whether this will happen, or will Nanak ever say this, because it was never about Nanak. He was liberated in his lifetime, the question is about your internal mind, your ego, and how strongly it is attached to your own mind and the understanding it provides about Sikhi. We all need to understand the urgency of this and look at what the real essence of Sikhi is 🙏

    • @mariabrar6290
      @mariabrar6290 Рік тому

      Veer, I think you are selling the Nihangs a little short. Dharam Singh Nihang has a UA-cam channl3 called Sach Khoj Academy and it explains Gurbani in even more depth if you understand Punjabi. Not to mention Satpal is a Nihang also

    God is one and he created every single one of us, and the whole universe, all from his own self from his own supreme divine energy, so God is Divine Energy and without Energy God is powerless and and without God energy is useless, so both are main attributes of God, though God is one he is both the Energy and the Consciousness, thus he has command over his energy just as we have command over our physical body, so our mind is our conscious and our body is our energy, both are necessary for us to exists, and function. If we are paralysed we cannot command our body, same way if we can command our body but our body has no energy we cannot take it anywhere, e.g. when we are totally drained and tired.
    So if you look at a broader picture, since everything emanated from One, so we are all and everything we see around is part of that one, we all came out of that one. This is the main message of Guru Nanak, Ek Onkaar, Sat Naam. so God is one and ultimate source of everything that is the only truth, everything was created by Him from his own self, not from Nothing or from anything else, since at the beginning only God alone existed with his mighty divine energy as one, No one can create anything from nothing , so God is two sides of the same coin just as one coin has two faces, a coin cannot exist with one face.

      Bani is a map only reading it won’t get you anywhere, it needs to be followed in right sense. If you are not internally connecting to divine than reading gurbani is no different than reading any other book. Guru nanak dev ji is the biggest psychologist you will ever come across.

    My 2 cents
    Guru Bani is nothing but Guru Nanak's interpretation of Advaitha Vedanta or Upanishads in Punjabi and other languages of that north west regions of India. That way Sikhs are very much part of Sanathana Dharma and no way you can call yourself different from Hindus. Rest of the later Gurus also were very much part of Sanathana Dharma. Only after Britishers brain washed the Sikhs of 18th century onwards, this crazy claims of Sikhs different from Sanathana Dharmis started. Anyways, a great session from Satpal ji and he is too good at communicating the message and values of Bharath in some way.
