My pal Raymond Lillycrop was down under the take part in the 2018 commonwealth games in the disabled category. he was 2nd in 1 event, and 4th in another 1!.
RIP to all three voice actors who have passed on: Greta Gabor, John Candy, and just recently, Bob Newhart. May your souls find a special place in heaven, as this cartoon had in our childhood hearts. 😔💔
Man, this scene to me was so much more memorable than Orville's take off in the original Rescuers. Maybe it's just my nostalgia tinting my sight since these scenes are extremely similar anyways, but I also think it's the energetic music that REALLY drives the epicness of this scene home.
Not just that but the terrific animation imitating the camera work was just incredible. Technology even in the late 80s early 90s had come on leaps and bounds from when the original was made
This is more memorable. I love the animation of Wilbur's dive. It makes it seem so real like you're riding a rollercoaster and how your stomach drops when you go down that very steep dip 😀😁👍
Disney movies don't need remakes.....HOWEVER, seeing THIS particular scene recreated in CGI or live-action, in a 4DX cinema....would be *chef's kiss* 😚👌
This animation sequence was done by Pixar. One of their earliest projects in a feature film. Pixar also did the outback intro sequence in the beginning of the film.
@@AdhamOhm Makes sense now. That intro and this scene blew my mind as a kid. We had never seen that type of angle and movement in an animation. My father told me recently that I'll I used to get up close to the TV get excited and spread my arms on these scenes. I remember so vividly. I remember wondering why the whole movie wasn't made like that. 😊
Even though I love John Candy as Wilbur what would it be like if Steve Martin voiced Wilbur it’s just that I feel like Steve Martin was never in a Disney animated movie
Ya know, no matter how old you are or what year it is, screaming ‘Cowabunga’ never gets old.
After his dancing scene, this is also my other favorite part!!!
RW:U got that right!😆
Love it! Never get old ! I'm 36 and loose it every time! 🤣🤣🤣
Glad to see I ain't the only one who is in his 30s and still watches these childhood memories 🙂 this is my favorite scene with Wilbur
☺☺
I so love this part, and plus Wilbur taking off and saying cowabunga makes me laugh everytime, it's so priceless.
PatJK910 0:55 me too.
John Candy(voice of Wilbur) really knew how to yell, "COWABUNGA!"
0:57 😂
And they think the ninja turtle Michelangelo was the king of "COWABUNGA"s.

R.I.P. Eva Gabor and John Candy (the voices of Miss Bianca and Wilbur the albatross). The both of ‘em passed away and went up to heaven real soon😔🙏🏻
Will Robinson don’t forget George C. Scott as McLeach.
And Eva gabor also voice duchess from the aristocats 1970.
And now sadly bob newhart
And Jim Jordan who voiced Orville the albatross in the first movie
@@willrobinson3662 John Candy was 43 when he died in 1994.
It's probably been close to 30 years since I've last seen this movie, but for some reason, this scene popped into my head.
People get cheesed off with Aussie stylish behaviour!.
John Candy was a legend.
43 in 1994 when he died!.

Don't forget George C. Scott. All together, that's 4.
its eva gabor not greta gabor
That early CGI kicks ass.
As Big Dan Teague would say, "No doubt, brother".
Noooooooooo...DOUBT!
LMFAO why is Wilbur popping up in my brain at work? I missed this movie 😂

Can't help but get hyped up when Wilbur screams into the Snowy night as he dives into New York.
This was and always will be a FANTASTIC movie.
The COWABUNGA is not the only best part of this scene, it's the score too.
I love the Charles Lindberg reference.
"What do I look like, a nazi sympathizer?"

Pixar animated a short that has good animation in 1984-1986 but too lazy to animate cars 💀
i'll remember to play this when going skydiving
Have Craig O'Brien to film your skydiving videos in the future someday.
Face Off 0:55-0:58 that’s awesome.
I friggin LOVED this scene as a kid. I still do. I would rewind it 3 or 4 times and watch it again. I wanted Disney to make this scene into a ride.

Wilbur the 🌊🦅
Nobody like the late John Candy. The current comedians cannot compare to him. Back when animation was good.
Lovely scene❤-everybody who knows any that is or has been a part of the staff aboard a Airliner Will have a good laugh here❤😂
John Candy and Bob Newhart must’ve had great comedic chemistry with each other.
At first I thought Orville and Wilbur were same albatross.
Bob Newhart is gone now.
RIP Sir.
0:55 OOOWW COWABUNGAAAAA!
Miss you John Candy!
I had no idea John candy did wilbur the albatross
Poor Wilbur he does have back problems
Yeah, I like how they foreshadow his later injury here.
