A short excerpt from, "Another Day with Jay Maisel" - Scott Kelby returns to New York to spend another day with Jay Maisel. This day proved to be more revealing as Scott and crew discovered a little bit more about what makes Jay Maisel the legendary photographer that he is, why he makes the choices he makes, and what shaped him and his illustrious career.
The more I listen to Jay, the more he strikes me as a master at seeing. Uncanny what he is able to pick out of the busy cityscape. Love how he jabbed Kelby about using his feet so he didn't have to shoot through the fence. Hilarious.
He is like the godfather of street photography, he owns the street. (Even talks like marlon 😊😊)
great video! it's ironic though that it is monochrome when jay is mostly acknowledged for his vivid colour images
I was thinking the exact same thing!
A feature on a master of COLOR in b/w??? Very clever.
"You do have your feet, you know."
Don`t forget to show us your work at the end of video, please. Thank you
huh..you still have your feet you know...excellent advice, deceptively simple but really worth remembering. zooms make me lazy..lol
Where exactly does he say the quote: "Take a look at what you are looking at"?
