Wow this video is a lifesaver! I’ve never changed my oil before because I had this irrational fear that it would be super difficult but this is such a pleasant, straightforward video that I was able to do it with ease! Thank you for posting this!
Thanks alot man. I've done hundreds of oil changes on older and every other make than a VW. As someone who's mechanically inclined, it hurt to have to UA-cam this. You were quick, to the point, and helped me with the issues I was facing. Definitely gonna hit him up when have any issues with my VW.
Spent an hour trying to get that stupid oil filter housing off with 4 different types of oil filter removal tools. I should have listened to you. Went and got the correct filter remover tool and it came off in 5 seconds. 74 mm with 14 flutes is the correct tool. Save yourself the headache just like he said and go buy it. It’s like $6
Hi, I am unable to change filter when doing oil change as my wrench didn’t fit . Is it okay to change the filter only by just changing and loosing the oil in the filter only ?
Yep. He needed to run vehicle for a few minutes and recheck oil level. Dip stick level should drop considering that a new oil filter was installed. Probably needed to add more oil in the end.

Should always change the filter when you do that. They have to be replaced. Man up and buy the right tool or blow it up. On you
