  • The average American spends at least 90 minutes a day behind the wheel. That's definitely a lot, so why not spend this time in comfort and ease? There are so many simple yet useful tricks that can turn your mundane commute into a pleasant journey, and here are 15 of the best!
    TIMESTAMPS:
    A pin on the map will help you find your parked car 0:47
    Use a cereal container as a trash can 1:33
    A roll of duct tape as a cup holder 2:18
    A tackle box makes a great snack kit 2:56
    Don't forget about a two-port USB charger 3:52
    Keep an emergency kit in your car 4:31
    A shoe organizer as a holder 5:51
    Don't forget your inflatable mattress 6:23
    Take an atlas 7:00
    A rubber band as a phone holder 7:28
    Go to a fast food restaurant if you get lost 7:56
    It will help you if you get stuck 8:33
    Breathe fresh air with the help of a button 9:08
    Music: ua-cam.com/users/audiolibrary...
    SUMMARY:
    - Drop a pin with the location of your car on your mobile map. In this case, Google maps will eagerly help you locate your vehicle in no time!
    - Take an empty cereal container, put a trash bag inside, and voila! You now have an ideal no-spill trash can for all your empty wrappers and cups.
    - You can put a roll of duct tape on the passenger seat and place your drink inside. Plus, you’ll always have the universally handy duct tape within reach whenever you need it!
    - Take a tackle box, raid a grocery store or your kitchen, and assemble a nice little kit of your favorite snacks. No fuss, no mess, and no more stopping at convenience stores just to ease your cravings.
    - If you can’t go anywhere without your multiple gadgets and gizmos, opt for a multi-port USB charger. It’s also handy when you’re traveling with a big group of friends.
    - If you're sick and tired of the chaos that’s invaded your car, just use a shoe organizer to make your space neat and tidy.
    - Keep a blow-up mattress in your trunk just in case. Simply put it in the back seat, inflate it, and there you go! They even make special inflatable mattresses that fit cars perfectly!
    - What will you do if your GPS or phone suddenly dies and you don’t have a charger with you? That's why you should always keep a road atlas in your car.
    - If you haven't got a phone holder yet, you can use a rubber band or a hair tie!

    Never keep medication in your car, the heat can cause a chemical reaction changing the molecular structure of the medication. Keep the recirculate button on to save wear on the car and keep the temperature even. If you are constantly bringing in outside air the engine has to adjust the air to the inside temperature.

    • @aquawoelfly
      @aquawoelfly 5 років тому +2

      One would hope the only reason medication is in your car is because
      A its in your purse/wallet for daily use.
      B your brining it into the hotel when you get there.

    • @aquawoelfly
      @aquawoelfly 5 років тому +4

      @@techgeekwarren4504 not all medications are suseptable to heat/temp. A first aid kit with antibiotic cream/spray is not the same as keeping a bottle of perscription meds.
      Also most of europe is significantly cooler year round than places like florida california texas northern austrailia japans large island etc... if you cant remember the last time the temp rose above 100 where you live maybe it is safe to keep some medications.

    • @jb99rapp
      @jb99rapp 5 років тому +3

      DeeDee Porter , in reality the recalculation feature will not save wear on any AC component. On most cars the recirculation setting could in fact be worse for the Blower motor since it’s pulling air through smaller duct work inside the car compared the fresh air setting. Regardless, most new-ish cars do all this automatically so you shouldn’t even have to worry about messing with the settings.

  • @daynonweaver292
    @daynonweaver292 5 років тому +2

    The recirculation button can also keep whatever warm air you made in the car to keep it warm and keeps freezing air outside as well.

    Don't use the cheap USB chargers, all of them put out radio waves and can mess up the radio and other electronics in the running of it. My cheap one messed with the radio, unplugged it and everything is fine. I learned about it on the "Scotty Kilmer" channel here. I couldn't figure out why my radio was losing my station at times. My car came with a built-in 110v AC converter in it so I use my home chargers now.
    Running your air or heater on recirculation for too long can cause drowsiness.
    If you get tired, cool air, peppy music, and conversation helps, pull over and rest is best.
    Get out and walk around every so often to help with circulation and cramps.

    1. Keep an old tablet or phone in an invisible spot. When the car goes missing, you can locate it by searching Find my device on google (note that you have to use the account that is tied to your device and if it is iPad well idk).
    2. Keep a power bank handy. It might save you when you have depleted the battery in your car.

      @BRIGHT SIDE✅ Really flying cars dangerous? If put into the wrong hands yes and if not piloted correctly also yes, but look at the possibilities: no waiting for traffic at rush hour, freedom in the sky, going to country to country without a plane ticket (if you have passports it's ok);etc. It just make things easier and if overpopulation exist then flying cars won't be the problem. The problem would be time, enough resources, and elderly folk that won't move on from their ground cars. Am I wrong to say that flying cars are not dangerous, or am I right?

    I've used all of these except for the rubber band one that one doesn't work for me too well. something else to keep in the car are those sun reflectors for your windshield they work great to block out the sun if you want sleep in your car as well as a few emergency candles in case you get stuck someplace cold like one of those they help warm the car up and give you light but with the candles make sure you have an empty soda can to put them in so that you know you don't burn your car. Two more tools to keep in your car a small collapsible shovel and a hatchet because sometimes you need a little bit more the cat litter and your car mats to get unstuck and Tow cables are always a good idea as well

    Don't forget to include in your emergency kit : a canoe, a pair of ladders, a set of bongos, a chainsaw, a wig, shin guards, a spare car and some chewing gum.

    Don't use the Recirculation Button during the winter. It will cause your windows to fog up.

    My car is connected to my phone, so my cars location always shows up on apple maps. I also have two of everything, like a pair of glasses, usb cord, mini vacuum, cleaning wipes, de-icer and scraper, screenwash and a funnel for refilling screenwash, oil etc without spilling it.
