hello hello, long time no see :) please activate the video subtitles for the translation! it seems a few things have happened since i last posted. i actually started making this video back in september, and i did have other videos in the works before this one, but alas... life. 2024 has been a very busy year for me. nevertheless, here is a very late thank you for 22k subs + late christmas present! i'll keep the rest of this comment as short as i can (like chuuya): where to watch the BSD french dub? - either crunchy, netflix (if it's in your region) or the 🏴☠ sites if you know them (i use french-anime dot com, include the dash). they won't have subtitles, obviously, but you should be able to get by if you know the story well enough! - on this note, earlier this year i actually took on the task of translating the *first three episodes of season 1* of the french dub. you'll find the link for the video folder (with accompanying translation notes!) in the description! the last time i had any time to do an episode was april, but i want to be able to finish at least season 1, if nothing else. - the first episode of the french dub is on the crunchy roll FR youtube channel! a note on how i subtitled/translated: - i will fix some of the subtitling timing and details later, but i wanted to get this out ASAP because it's been so long since i last posted a video! - obviously, i did NOT translate literally, as it wouldn't make too much sense in english if i did. some of you might notice that i've translated some things differently to my other french dub video, and that's because: • i tried to find a balance between conveying the meaning of the speech and it making sense in english • my french *and* translation knowledge has come a very long way since i made the last french dub video, if i do say so myself (i took some intensive classes, and it's good to put this to a bit of use!) - if i have the time, i will stick some more translation notes in the description over the next few days/weeks. but we shall see! - of course, if you have any corrections, please do feel free to let me know. i am always eager to learn! i am a native english speaker, not french. i do apologise for any mistakes! anyway, i hope that you enjoy this video. it's good to be back, even if for only a little bit! 😶🌫
hey!! I’m a french bsd fan and I absolutely love when you make content like this😭😭 if you need any help one day, I’d be more then happy to help!! By the way, sadly french Netflix doesn’t have bad, so yeah we usually use either crunchy roll or websites, but I’m sure there are some channel which upload some specific parts of episodes😈 also your french is already really really good, you rarely made mistakes and you correctly accorded the verbs and nouns, which is pretty hard (even for the french people lmaoo) so I’m so proud of you!!
I think the French dub is not only very beautiful... But also fruitier than the fruit salad I'm currently eating. The music accompanying the whole thing is the cherry on top.

As a French person I think that it funny how people react for the French dub and think that there are fruity but for us like it normal 😂😂 We don't see that much as fruity maybe it just me or maybe not
As someone who is taking French in high school this is one of the funniest things I’ve seen and though it was a struggle at some points to understand I was laughing the entire time
2:06 it's "et toi" and not "en toi" here 2:14 it's "ses pouvoirs" here and not "sa pouvoir" I didn't notice any other mistakes but maybe there are some. Also, your french seems really good ! French is a hard language (I'm french) so good job ! ^^
Oh and now that I think about it in France Chuuya is written Chûya. It's the same thing for other characters like Kyôka instead of Kyouka, Ryûnosuke and Tecchô (and some others that I forgot)
crunchyroll has the official dubbed versions i believe :) netflix potentially also does, but BSD is not on it in my region, so i can’t say if it actually does!
I normally watch anime with French dub but honestly this one was so horrible I had to turn on Japenese one. (Dazai one is actually good) (for me the JJK French dub is the best)
