It was pretty funny before the nerf when Influence carried the armor strip from Shattering Impact. I was testing it with my old Xoris build (lvl 180 conjunction survival) and I threw it down a hallway then detonated it the moment the Accolite's health bar appeared on screen- the health bars instantly disappeared and it took me a second to figure out it spawned BEHIND ME, in a different room! The Xoris blast didn't even come close to touching it, just the influence spread was enough to instantly delete it lol
Argonak Metal Auger armor strip with daggers still works, it's just more... finicky. With Saryn (due to toxin lash interactions), it works all the time, every time, but with other frames, sometimes it strips, other times it doesn't. Shattering Impact was never supposed to work with it though, as it only triggers on impact, the Melee Influence doesn't carry over IPS procs.
It’s actually really easy to fully armor strip the Acolytes with Shattering Impact. They only have 50 base points of armor so it only takes a few hits to remove all of it Lol
Man I love the Kengineer, really digs into builds and why they work. You're the reason I love Lavos so much, I can't wait till he gets his Prime, I know you'll have fun.
People don't play him much mostly because of his tedious farm, locked behind Father's rank, bounties and material grind.. Lavos also has a cooldown-dependant playstyle similar to some MMO, and I guess that isn't what people look for when playing Warframe.
God I cannot even begin to describe how much I despise the faction mods. We now have so many factions that you'd have to buy loadout slots if you wanted one for each.
Daggers get to benefit from Amalgam Argonak Metal Augur - at the cost of your primary slot, you ccan add a shattering impact style effect to daggers (most notably the Innodem) that procs on the damage spread by Influence and, if I understand correctly, from the electric proc chains you can get from it. It strips the armor from tough targets *extremely* quickly.
Pretty much my Kullervo setup. A slow, hard hitting dagger zaw that sacrifices crit for status (Because Kullervo is supplying the crit), modded for gas and electricity. Nautilus and operator arcane to group, cast his 3 because at that point it's basically a meme to add a whole additional tier of cubic scaling.
This is the core of a Speedva nuke build I pilfered from youtube a month or two ago. That build uses the Rakta Dark Dagger + amalgam argonak to strip armor, apply radiation, and recover shields. Bonus points for the fact that the explosions of Nova's 4 *inherit* the "dagger damage" tag and ALSO strip armor if you land the killing blow with your dagger. Add in the standard "vacuum sentinel" bond settup and it blows through Netracells super quickly and reliably. You'll still randomly blow up if you run out of energy at the wrong moment or fail to recognize/respond to shield break, so I personally don't recommend it for soloplay, but it has been a GREAT tool to help ensure the enemies reach the annoying red circle BEFORE your allies kill them.
@@nkeyc6795it was Aznvasions "unkillable speedva nuke" ... the title is absolute clickbait, but the build is less gimmicky than I tend to find these sorts of builds. Most of the build works automatically, rather than requiring you to track and time half a dozen buffs and abilities just to make a 30 sec youtube clip of the build "working". I can highly suggest this build from my own play experience. Just... don't expect it to be "unkillable" unless you are able to completely focus 100% of the time (which is exhausting and not my personal favorite play style).
My favorite Influence builds at the moment: Xoris. Great upfront damage in a heavy attack build and reliable, but can't armor strip and overkilling enemies doesn't spread the procs. Falcor. Guaranteed Electricity proc on normal throw makes it reliable, and it can be combined with the volatile bounce mod to make it AoE. Can build 12x combo, but the lack of heavy attack makes it weak to Acolytes. Dagger + Argonak: High attack speed, armor strip through Argonak Metal Auger, and there are different flavors for it. Gas/Electric Innodem for the most damage and most consistent armor strip. Dark Dagger for near-immortality from shield recharge. Balla Zaw for combining with Exodia Brave and Tennokai for constant energy regen. Hate: Slower attack speed, but incarnor mode projectiles can also trigger Influence, greatly boosting effective damage, and Tennokai heavies will always have guaranteed and super-powerful slash procs for more annoying enemies.
Made a build using Melee Influence with Ninkondi Prime and Gauss Prime and that shit is so fun, I don't even need the faction mods, it hits so often it just melts everything around it.
I feel like there's a special mention to be made for weapons with innate base corrosive, too. Then you can mod for electric and viral and have viral and corrosive spread as you're chaining electric procs around.
Or the pathocyst with innate viral. You can mod it for high heat low corrosive and throw it through volt shields for elec procs and then use a light attack weeping wounds volotile rebound build, it's fun
Honestly i wish faction bane mods were just one mod, i know it’s not a massive hassle, but having just a “Bane” mod to not have to swap the faction bane mods would be convenient. I think it would make a lot more players happy than upset
As an additional note: if using a dagger and the mod Amalgam Argonak Metal Auger each electric proc on each ennemi will deal damage to the BASE armour to them and to each other ennemi within 3 meter, leading to room wide armour striping
I've loved this mode on my Incarnon'd, Naramon backed Blood Rush/Weeping Wounds Nami Solo, with Tennokai for the fat and free heavies to trigger the transformation. I actually don't have room on it for viral, but I've been butchering netracells/archon hunt fodder with just the electric procs and the slash from direct hits. It's kinda poetic how my first built item has come so far with me in this journey.
It would be interesting to see use cases for some of the other melee arcanes. Exposure and Vortex seem to have the broadest application potential; I tested the Dual Ichors with Vortex to see how well it worked and ended up looking like a full-tilt brawl from a cartoon, cloud and all.

Here's the thing I'm looking at building: Plague Kripath, Plague Bokwin, Ekwana II Jai. Exodia Force, Melee Influence. Condition Overload, Weeping Wounds, Blood Rush, Organ Shatter, Quickening, Boreal's Contempt, Shocking Touch, Smite [X] Very fast attacking, builds combo quickly, good benefit from both status and crit...50% of status inflicting hits (which is basically every hit) will do 200% of weapon damage to every enemy in 6 meters, and a further chance for Melee Influence to proc on everything. It also has innate Viral for the proc list. I'd love to also be able to put in a Riven for it - I have one - but the dispo on Plague Kripath is so terrible that it's almost impossible to roll anything with stats worth using. Right now, the roll it is on is 56% status chance and 58.6% cold...so for 18 drain, it's several percent worse than a standard 60/60 cold mod.
Unfortunately they nerfed Exodia Force interaction little after melee influence was released. Another fun Zaw combo is Dokrahm heavy blade with Exodia Hunt. Heavy swords have a stance that has combo with gazillion ground slams, so you keep pulling enemies to your melee influence swings.
I still wish for a mod that keeps the equipped elemental mods from mixing so we could do cold+heat+toxic+electric damage with the same weapon at the same time Edit: with a variant for each weapon type
Caustacyst - corrosive, viral, electric + Melee influence. Gauss with this is incredible but I'm sure this would also be amazing for Limbo or any other frame. Subsume Wrathful Advanced for even more damage with those faction mods without the need for a high strength Roar.
Okay so question: my current setup to run netracells is currently revenant with 2 green shards with amprex, epitaph primer mainly modded for corrosive, and the Xoris with melee influence and condition overload as my main source of damage. I’ve been wanting to subsume Xata’s Whisper onto this build, but what with everything Ken keeps talking about universal faction bonuses, would roar potentially be better for this? I already use Smite Murmur on my Xoris but if amping it higher with a different ability makes that much higher of a difference, I’m all ears to changes
Another good weapon for Melee Influence is the Falcor - it procs guaranteed electric on a regular throw, so you can build to 12x and not build for specifically electricity
Glaives are like 90% in their explosion damage, doing all that wouldn't be worth it, at that point you can use any other weapon and out damage falcor even with melee influence, not worth it to nerf yourself to get a buff

I have a riven with +crit +eletric -impact for the fragor prime and ive been using it with meele influence and its pretty effective now ill test it with faction mods and roar
So is it necessary to have Electricity be your highest damage elemental effect on the weapon for Melee Influence to work right? Or can I have viral damage be higher than electric?
With the Dante unbound update and changes to eclipse subsume I'd love to see the numbers between it and roar in a unnecessarily nerdy numbers breakdown.
Your videos are wonderfully helpful, thank you. The examples of the damage calculations really help to give a concrete view of the damage calculations taking place. That, alongside the formulas available online, really allow me to feel more confident when choosing how I want to mod or even what weapons I want to mod. Thank you for this extra confidence. You're the best ♥
I have been having fun with the serro (Pure electric and slash), the Ninkondi (I just wanted to use the funny nunchucks), the rumblejack (Can be quite nice with all that status and electric, plus the finishers are always electric too), and also projectile melee weapons because its fun (oh and the tenet agendus too). Plenty more still to try as well!
My kuva shildeg got a buff when this arcane came out. I love being able to spread huge electric procs from the red crits. 😎 I have a riven that helps me get even more electric procs and faction damage onto a single mod. Then also the tennokai status chance. I'm glad I grinded for the highest electric bonus on it. I originally had it electric for corrosive. But now it's just pure electric monster.
In most builds i’ve seen most people mix Primed Pressure Point and Sacrificial Steel, wouldn’t it be better to put the two sets mods for the boost? I get that it would be more expensive to fit two sacrificials but i want to know if mixed is better overall or in certain scenarios.
Ive been trying to make a melee influence and exodia contagion build but have been struggling to find it since its probably just insanely overkill. Best Ive come up with is melee prowess, boreals contempt, organ shatter, sac pressure, sac steel , riven (60 cd, 130 cc, -40 punc), volcanic edge and molten impact. Im trying to min max the ever living f outta this kripath even though dispo and contagion kinda suffer, also using volt shield for elec proc. If anyone else has a better build please comment bc i feel like this could nuke even harder but i dont understand this arcane too well lmao (like interactions with condition overload and exodia contagion)
condition overload doesnt work well, modded zaw for 60 60 electricity with p fever strike and 6060 heat, use volts shock trooper aug to make electricity the primary element and it is working pretty well and combined with his shield it makes it easy to get an electric proc
Falcor with Volatile Rebound is a lot of fun. It feels like a true throwing melee build cause you actually want to keep max combo and not manually detonate. This means you can take Weeping Wounds. A charge throw force procs electric, so it's easy to proc Melee Influence. Volatile Rebound turns it into a bouncing weapon that explodes in each hit, so Melee Influence spreads super far. It's not great for single target or acolytes, but it shreds trash. And falcor has high riven disposition. Highly recommend if you're tired of Xoris spam.
Exodia Force will only trigger off of targets actually hit my your weapon, not off of the statuses being spread out to other targets. DE fixed that pretty quickly.
On Xoris, using a toxin mod over the electric one gives corrosive without making Influence annoying to activate because of the force proc electric. Combine with 2 emerald shards for AoE full strip, which will cause the enemies to melt from the electric procs after their armor is gone.
It really suck that korumm gimmick while still possible to trigger Melee Influence, is still somewhat underwhelming because of how small the radius + the slow animation can be
Methinks i will scrounge together a build for my Kuva Shildeg i just got. Question, if you know, does the electric progenitor kuva shildeg proc melee influence or does it not, cause my current Shildeg is heat progenitor

I have a riven with +crit +eletric -impact for the fragor prime and ive been using it with meele influence and its pretty effective now ill test it with faction mods and roar
Wait. No combo counter mods? Also, I feel like the Dorclave will work pretty well with its guaranteed status effect passive. Thoughts?
melee is fucking boring
I have a riven that helps me get even more electric procs and faction damage onto a single mod. Then also the tennokai status chance. I'm glad I grinded for the highest electric bonus on it. I originally had it electric for corrosive. But now it's just pure electric monster.
Is it prova time? It might be prova time.
FOR JOHN PRODMAN!
Nerfed in 3...2...1...
Im using the magnetic melee arcane with the classic argonak/dagger combo with gas. Comfy build
In most builds i’ve seen most people mix Primed Pressure Point and Sacrificial Steel, wouldn’t it be better to put the two sets mods for the boost? I get that it would be more expensive to fit two sacrificials but i want to know if mixed is better overall or in certain scenarios.
It is better. It’s just more expensive
you only really need to make that investment if you need the extra crit chance to reach ~100%, otherwise it's cheaper and easier to use PPP
200 percent rhino roar nourish xoris here I come. I’m so excited.
I love the rift and influence is kinda funny fr.
At just face value this arcane wouldn't be nearly as good as it actually is. Thank you Kengineer.
Dust off your Arca Titron, Ceti Lacera, and FALCOR boys, time for some fun
Worth building a Zaw with Melee Influence because of Exodia Force, do you reckon?
Exodia Force will only trigger off of targets actually hit my your weapon, not off of the statuses being spread out to other targets. DE fixed that pretty quickly.
That combo was insane couple days, but DE fixed it.
Sounds like I'm gonna have to break out the Zenistar.
I wonder if this could work with Destructor Prime..?
Oh boy. 2:20. Very useful in replaying
0:38 I still have mental trauma from Gargoyle's Cry
I've been having a fun time with this on the Ceti Lacera and a melee Saryn, but knowing _how_ it works now I'll be able to fine tune my build.
I have a rumble jack riven should I use?
what does it have
On Xoris, using a toxin mod over the electric one gives corrosive without making Influence annoying to activate because of the force proc electric. Combine with 2 emerald shards for AoE full strip, which will cause the enemies to melt from the electric procs after their armor is gone.
nah do that on the falcor
it has more status chance
and doesnt need to heavy detonate to get electric procs just charged throw
I can see this being really cool on the arcade titron
Going in I honestly underestimated the power of this Arcane...only for me to end up two shoting twenty level 125 Steel Path Corrupted Heavy Gunners.
Wow that's a lot of numbers
Melee influence Limbo nerf inbound
It really suck that korumm gimmick while still possible to trigger Melee Influence, is still somewhat underwhelming because of how small the radius + the slow animation can be
still baffling that the electric shockwave has a forced IMPACT proc instead of electric
Watch this get nerfed in the next update.
It's a good thing this game is so hard to "beat"
Watching this was very tense, for some reason
what did u do to the lavos 4th ability D:
Can you develop "Innodem" into this build? Follow through is very high for daggers and this one has a high range.
I feel like the Ninkondi could work well here.
Methinks i will scrounge together a build for my Kuva Shildeg i just got. Question, if you know, does the electric progenitor kuva shildeg proc melee influence or does it not, cause my current Shildeg is heat progenitor
Yes base electric will proc it
what about the secura lecta?
