    I've been using it for a month now and it's really helpful to see your perspective, thank you

    Thanks for going through this, really handy and informative. The point about the zoom lens seems so obvious, but I hadn't though of it - great pickup! I had definitely been considering this kit, but I'm now thinking it won't actually be suited for what I want (for the price), so thank you!!

      Thank you for that! That's what I was going for, showing the positives and the potential negatives to make sure people don't miss something that might be a vital part of their workflow.

    It looks as though the hottest part of the light may have been on her chest more than her face.

    Excellent review, thank you… I’d love to see a comparison of the R200 with the other AD200 attachments, really show the difference between ring flash, fresnel and the round head. Thanks again, you come across as a very credible reviewer. 👍

    The zoom issue is going to depend on the specific lens. I have been using my R200 with a Nikon Z 24-120 without any problems reaching the zoom ring.

      I guess that's true, it in lens dependant. Thabk you for the input!

    Thanks for video. Was tryouts to figure out which grid. Think I’ll do 30 on reflector. Disappointed about gels. I’ve bought reflectors for my ad300’s and the gels with those were very nice. Really don’t need the set and it’s too expensive for cheap product. Wonder if I could cut my own. Might try. And oh, I have slender fingers and have trouble getting to zoom ring😂. Also, not comfortable using vertical buttons on my Z9. Thanks again. Started following

      Glad it helped!!! You could probably make your own gels for sure.

    I would've wished you took the extra steps and shown off the differences between the grids attached to the dish. At $59 each, it would be painful to choose the wrong one. Would the 30 degree one be the best choice if you could only purchase one?

      I didn't go into it because the light pattern and output is very similar. If you're planning in doing more groups with it, probably the 40. If you tend to do more couples or individuals the 30 would be my choice. And of course the 20 is of you are only doing individuals and don't want much light at all to hit anything in its surroundings.

    Thanks for the video. Have you tried the R200 in a 2 light setup? I just got the R200 and I want to use it on camera as an accent light and the AD600 as the main light in bright sunlight situations.

    • @ShuaPhotography
      @ShuaPhotography  Рік тому +1

      No problem. I haven't used it on camera with a 2 light setup, but it would make good fill if you're photographing from the shadow side.

    Does high speed sync work with this head?

    Would nice if the gel has magnetic on it

      I agree! That's why I referred to the fact that I use MagMod in those situations since it is super east to change those out.

      Unless they make a housing for the ring light and able to add mods and accessories.

      @@ShuaPhotography how do you did this??? My friend and I have already written a letter to the technical support of the yearox, they said that the R200 does not support HSS. I have a Sony A7 IV camera he has a canon R6. Please make a guide on the settings, how to get it to work? for shutter speeds shorter than 1/180 categorically does not work
