  • Hello, and welcome to my latest tutorial.
    To make this pendant you will need;
    • 0.8mm (20g) wire, 4 x 12" (30cm)
    • 0.315mm (28g) weaving wire, approx. 400cm
    • Teardrop cabochon, mine is 20mm by 20mm, you can use any size for this pendant, just remember to adjust your wire lengths
    • Cubic Zirconia 5mm
    • 3mm bead
    I no longer put links to tools on here.
    The tools I use are:
    • Tronex needle nose pliers
    • Tronex short round nose pliers
    • Tronex razor flush cutters
    • Beadsmith flat nose nylon jaw pliers
    • Occasionally I use tronex bent nose pliers
    • Occasionally I use heavy duty wire cutters
    • Occasionally I use xuron needle nose pliers
    • Bobeeze bobbins (medium size with no extra weights)

    It's over an hour long. That means it's going to be really 4 hour because of all the times I have to rewind and stop and start it again. I'm saving this video for my day off. I do think it's the most prettiest wire wrap I've ever seen. I can't wait to try it.

      Oh great, I hope you enjoy it. I don’t time myself so I just take as long as it takes. I thought about leaving out the extra stone at the top to save time but thought it really added a nice finishing touch.

    Kelly, This is one of the most delicate pendants that you have made and it is simply beautiful. thank you so much for this tutorial. We've had to listen to it twice because your voice is so soft that my husband went to sleep listening to the video and so we sat through it again the second time as we had a cup of tea. Again thank you. :)

    Do not let how beautiful this piece is scare you. Ive only been wire wrapping for a month or two. I have no clue what im doing and this only took me about 2 hours to make. Not as good as she did but it looks pretty good. Her instructions make it very easy. Anyone can make this piece. It looks like a million bucks.

    Kelly I have a question about silver filled wire. Inhave heard others say that it starts out soft like bare copper but work hardens pretty quickly. Do you find that to be the case as well? I would love to give silver filled a go, but considering the price I just want to ensure its a wire I am ready to handle. Thank you for all you share! Your such an amazing teacher and a beautiful inspiration! Hugs my friend.

    • @KellyJonesJewellery
      @KellyJonesJewellery  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much 🤗 I find silver filled (from scientific wires uk) is as soft as copper, in the summer heat it seems a little too soft. As with any wire if you are straightening it out and bending it again it will harden. I love silver filled but find the weaving wire doesn’t last very long until the copper starts to show through. I’ve recently started using parawire, that is quite tough to handle, much harder wearing than silver filled and much cheaper.
