- Get your nostalgia goggles on, cuz this funky happy song will blast you all the way back to 2003! This is still one of my favorite Mario Karts to date, because it was so unique and fun with friends :D
I wanted to keep the racing level vibe and the overall structure rather simple. I focused on mixing, sound quality and maximizing b u m p. The melody speaks for itself, so I didn't really want to change it too much here.

I have listened to this remix over and over again. This is one of my favorite remixes ever. And even though I haven't played Double Dash, it is one of my favorite Mario Kart games, alongside Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
On another note I really love your music, it is always so unique and so catchy, and I am always coming back to your music. It cheers me up when I am having a bad day.

You really seem to understand the soul of this art is the nostalgia, and reconnecting us not just with the songs you remix, but the moments that transformed the sounds of the games into fond memories. That is exactly how I think of those songs as well.
I'll drink to that, although I may never experience this nostalgia for this game that many of you hold dear, I still see that I may look back at games such as MKWii, NSMBWii, Mario Party 8, and Super Paper Mario with similar fondness, and although those memories were only 6 or 7 years old. I feel the nostalgia that many of you feel while listening to this song, and with the power of emulators, you can finally (legally) play these games that gave you such joy all those years ago and say, "Wow this game was horrible, but at least my younger self enjoyed it." And these remixes allow for similar nostalgia as emulation, but they also allow for creativity never before seen in a similar way. Thank you, Vector U and Aerisbae, for allowing me to express how I feel about remixes and nostalgia in a more formal way.

I’ve listened to this over and over, and every time it always makes me cry from how nostalgic this song is. My first ever game was Mario Kart Double Dash and this remix of my favorite track is amazing in every way possible. Thank you, Vector U, not just for this amazing song, but for all the hard work that goes into these songs, but for creating a great community along the way.
PS: I love all the songs you create. This song just hits the nostalgia the most with as I said before with Mario Kart Double Dash being the first game I ever played.

When I first listened to this I thought it was going to consist purely of the Double Dash “Rainbow Road” theme but then the two transitions to the 64 version are incredible! I also love the use of the character voices as well! You never seize to amaze me with your incredible remixes!

I am soooo hyped
There's too many awesome things going on in this track for me to talk about them all, but something I think might be going unnoticed by a lot of folks out there is the reverby synth chords underneath the entire track. They give off a lot of the older Mario Kart track vibes because of the fade/reverb effect that feels like an echo, or an engine drone. Combined with the nature of the mixing, it almost sounds like an old time organ you might hear at sporting events, or maybe even a racetrack. Nostalgia isn't even an apt word to describe the feeling. Among the dozens of other amazing elements of this track, I just felt like that underlying strata really solidified the vibe of the tune and took it to a whole new five levels. Needless to say, you didn't take any Ultra Shortcuts in this track, and we all benefited from that. Thanks again for an amazing tune!

This beautiful masterpiece brings me so much joy and nostalgia. I don't care what anyone says Mario Kart Double dash is the best Mario kart and i just love the voices like Mario and everyone that plays in this it just fits so well together! This just brings me back to the good old days of when i was a carefree kid who would just play Mario kart Double Dash all day and just so many amazing classics on the gamecube. To this game my favorite console is for sure the gamecube, you my good man have earned my sub.

I love your use of in game samples in each song you make, I think it is something that honestly makes you different from a lot of remixers on UA-cam, each song you put out I know will have a little “wahoo” or “hup!” sound affect from the game haha. I really love when remixers do this as it really adds to the song! But yeah, really really enjoyed this and am looking forewarned to your next video! :)

Completely oblivious that it wasn't double items that mattered. It was the uniqueness of swapping racers, unique items based on who you choose, the craziness.
I watched people play it in videos and was always thinking "Damn I wish I had that...and...friends to play it with in my area."
This mix makes me so happy and definitely lifts my spirits whenever I am having a bad day, Mario Kart Double Dash was my go to game even if i wasn't a gamer this sounds bring back so many good and unforgettable memories. Thank you very much for such a delightful mix.
