Jaguar E-Type - Rescuing a 1966 FHC Fixed-Head Coupe Project

- This one was a really fun rescue! And after this past Summer's GRUELING pick-up of the green/maroon 1966 OTS, it was welcome little getaway during what was a very bust and stressful Fall for me.
We found this car in the garage of a home in a sleepy little town just north of Niagara Falls, NY. The house was actually just one block from the Niagar River, and the car, my hotel, a fun little main street of great restuarants, and a cool riverside hamburger joint were ALL within a one-block radius! PLus the weather was great, and all went very well.
This car is a Series 1 4.2-liter FHC built in March of 1966. It was originally red with a black interior, and is complete and numbers-matching. It will need a total restoration - and lots of metalwork, but it is a great start!
This E-Type Project is SOLD. Contact us directly using the information below to see what other E-Type projects we might currently have available - OR to get on our list of people who get the first chance to purchase the project cars that we rescue next!
We have already found a new home for this car - and it is actually with the same customer who purchased the red 1962 FHC that we found earlier this year! Now he has a matching pair of red Series 1 E-Type FHCs - one 3.8 and one 4.2. He just couldn't resist - and with the excellent metalwork that he has already completed on the 3.8, we're very glad to see this car also go into his capable hands! :-)

So many guys leave them dirty and grubby. I like how you clean up your cars, especially this one. Thanks for posting this video. Nothing like vintage cars, and E types too!🎩🇺🇸🎩
I grew up in Buffalo NY and that rust was typical on anything more than 10 years old! I learned how to Bondo before I could drive. LOL
Chuck thanks for sharing. I will enjoy seeing this come along. In a crazy world your attitude is a breath of fresh air! Rick
Chuck, you are always so amazingly "Positive" and I love it!!! Restoring this great project is beyond my abilities and time but a treasure non-the-less. I so appreciate you videos and knowledge. Michael in California...no rust state...usually.
Interesting project
Chuck - That looks like a fun project for some luck owner. It would be nice to follow it progress!

I guess this will sell as is for a small profit ? Thanks Chuck , a very pleasant night cap !
"ANOTHER ONE" If I could have it to do over again, I would be a "Chuck" and make his Love of E-Types his Career, or maybe just be his Buddy and find Treasures such as Lost E-Types! Ron in Florida.
