my last visit there was 2019, so it really looks much nicer. I hope they refreshed the rooms too!!
Yes, a friend stayed there recently, they did renovate the rooms, at least some of them.

Many machines gone. Not good
They had a whole section of video poker machines in the back by the hotel registration area that was popular because they apparently had some the best payoff tables in Vegas. That whole section is gone now.
