There are well over 5 million grandparents raising their grandkids due to addiction. I am one of those grandparents. The numbers and the stories are heartbreaking. I ended up adopting my grandson as soon as parental rights were terminated. There is a lot to his story, our story...too much to even attempt to explain here. I know there needs to be laws put in place to (above and beyond what there is now) to protect these babies and to support them as they grow. My son is a success story. He is 9 1/2 now and I am proud of him everyday. He is amazing. His last report card was all A's.
@@whoasked9938 it's her story as well and she has every right to share her story. She didn't include any personal information regarding the child, no way of identifying the child. You should never silence another. Not to mention it's rather hypocritical of you to say how it's that child's story to tell yet your watching a video regarding 8 other children and seem to be just fine with that. The moment we take these children into our homes our story intertwines with their own, sometimes it's temporary and sometimes it's forever.
@@vixxxenfoxxx3660 To be fair, the OP's gave away a lot of information. Their YT alias is "Eastern Washington Resident"...So, we can narrow down where the kid might live. We know the child is adopted by a grandparent, has an addict parent, is male, is 9.5 years old, and made all A's in school....That narrows down the pool even further.
I, thank God, was adopted. When I was born, I was healthy. My birth mother, even though I never met her, is dear to me. she knew she couldn’t care for me, so she made what must have been a truly difficult choice. After watching this, I realize how grateful I should be for her care for me. I was born strong and healthy. That was in 1967. In those days, that was brave of her. She gave me life and a good start. I love her. ❤.
I was born in 1978, my 13 year old mother died in child birth. I was adopted by parents who divorced soon after my adoption and my “mother” made my life a living hell after. She kicked me out at 15 and kept my younger sister who was biological to her. Sometimes adoption doesn’t work out so well. I’m 44 today and have raised 7 amazing, strong children. My adoptive mom taught me what a real parent should be, not her.
@@katmah78that's good that you learned but never being adopted could even have worse outcomes sometimes life is messed up, but good for you for making an amazing life for your children.
Way back in the way back, my sister knew a girl who did this. She just had baby after baby, at home, because she was a drug addict! Too high to go to the hospital. She was able to keep some but not all of her children. It was appalling to me that California allowed this happened time and time again. I have no idea whatever happened to her or her children. I'd like to think the state took them all, but it's California so I didn't hold out hope...
I could stand with that.. and yet people in government would like people to have children without having some type of protection from pregnancy.. other than condoms.. they still sell those, right? Anyways.. another family separated by choice.. parents fault. Bless the Kids.
Completely agree! No one forces you to get pregnant or have a baby, so if you choose to get pregnant ( yes getting pregnant is a choice. We all know how babies are made and how to prevent them) you owe it to your child to allow them the chance to be born as healthy as possible! Charges should be filed against any woman or parent who continues to use drugs while pregnant or while parenting!
Thankful every day that a judge terminated bio parents rights. I went to my foster home at 10 weeks old and my adoption was finalized at 3. I got the best family and we celebrate every year on November1st. Yes. I get 2 birthdays a year (I will be 50 in June). So many people would love to adopt but courts are reluctant to terminate. By the time their rights are terminated many children have been in and out of foster homes, back and forth to family members who are often no better than the home they came from. Blessed every day and never take my family for granted.
@@littlelowa8720 There were more children that came through our home as my Mom continued to be a foster parent. She stopped when we had a little boy come to our home with a broken arm (thanks to dad) that stayed for a little over a year before he was sent back to his biological father, who killed him less than 3 months later. He had a skull fracture, broken ribs etc. I think that was the last straw. It was a heartbreaking situation that happens WAY too often.
That and so many are not terminated and then you see the cases that we see all over social media of dead children because parents abuse them. A big one that I'm seeing is meth parents that have hurt their babies in the most horrendous ways. It's like these systems need to be protecting these children instead of going after the ones that have minor things that have happened or nothing that's happened and you have spiteful people making calls. Something needs to change and stop all these kids from falling through the cracks
I’m signing up to be a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster kids. We are an unbiased supporter of the child and build a relationship with them and interview all the adults in their lives and give reports to the judge in charge of their case. Kids statistically have a much better outcome and quality of life when they have a CASA assigned to them. Definitely look into it in your area if you want to help but don’t think being a foster parent is the right path.
Product of the Florida foster care system. From 2 years old til the day I turned 18. I bounced from home to home til I was 12. Then placed in an all girls home. Think of it as an orphanage for girls whose parents didn’t want or could not care for them. Went to regular high school. My friends had to have background checks to hang out side of them home. That place was the best part of my childhood. And I’m thankful and my life turned out good.
@@ashleetsoukalas3721 I agree. The place my grandmother grew up in was called The Hendrick Home for Children in Abilene, Texas. It’s still in operation today.
Your friends had to have background checks to hangout outside of "them" home? That makes no sense whatsoever, but if you're trying to say your friends had to have background checks to hangout outside of THEIR home, there's no way that's true and it still makes absolutely no sense. Background checks cost hundreds of dollars and have to be done by a background check company. You either completely fabricated that story, or you have no clue what you're talking about and used the wrong term to explain what you're talking about.
I'm raising my teenage son's 2 younger brothers from my ex. It's a long story full of addiction, DV, undiagnosed and untreated mental illness and lots more. They've been with me almost 6yrs now. They're 11 &8 yrs old. Both thriving and doing sooooo much better.
Much love and respect to you You most likely saved these boys from a horrible life and possibly going down the same path as the parents. The world needs more caring people like you ❤❤
Tarrah Wright seems like a true gift to CPS. We need more loving people like her to help our children and parents who truly want help. God bless you Tarrah Wright!
I know, she’s amazing. But she’s only been doing it a year. Let’s see what it looks like in 10. I can imagine this job would be pretty bad after a while. And she’s already had three cases where the moms have just walked away 😢. so sad.
My kids bio mom only showed up to about 3 in person visits and left early each time out of 50 visits.. she did NOTHING on her case plan. Now my babies are 5&6 and they are doing amazing!!!! They were both born addicted to meth and let me tell you they are always getting sick! It’s so sad! My heart hurts for all these babies!
Hang in there cuz it does get better, the physical illnesses that is. The mental issues might be a whole lot more challenging. But I'm sure you'll figure it out. 👍 Good luck !

I am an addict in recovery, sober for 2.5 years and I cannot comprehend how people addicted to drugs just pops one baby after another out. Drugs are not an excuse. My last drug of choice was crack cocaine and I didn't behave in that fashion. There are ways to stop a pregnancy from progressing and there are even more ways to prevent pregnancy from happening in the first place. Drugs are not an excuse. You know the life you're living, I knew what kind of life I was living, even in the very end of my own addictive horror show. This man and woman are not this way because of drugs, they're simply bad people. They get sober and they'll just be sober bad people. This behavior is God damn disgusting and this judgement is coming from a former crack head. I just don't get it. When she has the pipe to her lips for the 9th time she never stopped and thought about what the hell she was doing? He watches her take a hit with her big round belly and he doesn't pause for one second? The answer is no, no they did not and that's because it has zero to do with the loss of control associated with addiction and everything to do with being a fundamentally garbage can of a human being. *Rant over*
Congratulations on your recovery. You're so right. Addiction is not an excuse to be a horrible person. Neither is mental health, or any other circumstance.
Also multiple years into recovery and couldn’t agree more. When I was using a met a homeless addict who was 9 months pregnant. She was going on and on about how someone was going to buy her baby from her.
I suppose if the books were balanced they could offer a chuck of change a month for women in addiction with previous cps removals who consent to depo contraceptives and attend timely for thier administration. It costs far more to have these poor baby's in care and born in withdrawal to boot. I used to work in community mental health, now work in substance misuse as a nurse, I had a lady in mental health care who was unable to look after herself but refused to stop having babies and having them removed, her medications caused babies issues and in the end a court enforced a contraceptive depot and if she refused it she would be sectioned, it was an extreme case where she had had 13 children all removed at birth because she was so mentally unwell even when compliant with medications. She didnt really have the capacity to be in the community but we dont have long term inpatient care for people in the UK anymore unless theyve committrd crimes or also have physical health issues severe enough to warrant a care home. That was the only time I've seen anything against someone's consent around contraception.
We once had a case where a woman had 8 kids that had been terminated and she arrived for a hearing with a new baby on her hip. To be honest, I started thinking about sterilization.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with forced sterilization or forced birth control for abusive mothers, women child murderers, women pedophiles, and breeders like this. The likelihood that those children become addicts or criminals is drastically high as soon as they’re born.
Amazing that this women is allowed to continue endangering all of these babies lives and doesn't either go to prison or be forced by the state to get fixed!! God will deal with her since no one else will!
I'm an old grandma with 4 young grandchildren and if I ever had any sort of inkling at all that their mother (my daughter), their father, their home life was even remotely resembling what went on in those people's lives and home I'd do everything I could to get my grandchildren out of the situation. Of course I'd want my daughter to get the help she needed, their dad too, but first and foremost come the children.
As a mother of three who has been clean since 2009 I cannot comprehend. My addiction started when my kids where 13,11 and 7 and thank God I never was bad enough to have CPS involved but HAD CPS ever been called on me, it would have been the slap across the face I would have needed to wake me up out of my misery. I got clean on my own and it will be 14 years June 9th of 2023. I'm grateful and thankful for every single day. As ferociously overprotective I was of my babies, especially my NEWBORNS..I cannot comprehend.
While this is heartbreaking there is a beautiful story here too. This child will get to spend the rest of his childhood with the one who has been there for him and loved him. The one who has mothered him for most of his life. The foster Mother through adoption will be what she's been all along. His Mother. 🤍
I was just saying the same thing to my husband. Yes, it’s a terrible situation, but it’s also wonderful that because of this “bad mother”, 9 families have been blessed with a beautiful child. And those 9 children now have a mother who REALLY wants them, and will give them the love that they deserve. I don’t know about you, but I HAVE to find something positive out of the ugliness in this world. ❤
He will also have life long brain chemistry issues that can surface in a lot of different ways and adoption trauma. I love my girl but we deal with both on a daily basis.
Unfortunately it's not about having a "perfect ending", but finding _something_ positive whenever possible really makes a difference in one's thinking and mood. It takes some practice but becomes a habit that I, for one, am happy to have. ❤🍍
Poor girl has only been at the job a little over a year. My cousin worked for CPS for over 20 yrs. She spoke about burnout being common. Very easy to see why. You can only go home and cry your heart out so many times before getting exhausted or cynical about ppl.
If only family planning and 5 year Norplant injections were common conversation topics and if only the “parents” would give their children up for adoption at birth. I see how many unfit parents the courts bend over backwards to re-unite with their children only to outright beat the children or starve them to death . I don’t believe the “parents “ who’ve shown so little interest should be given so much time and consideration for reunification. That child would die in their care .
She was in the hospital 6 times with cesarean complications because she was probably doing something to mess with her incision so she can get back in, either for more meds or because she can’t stand being that far away from the hospital setting. Münchausen fits pretty well with addiction.
Or after however many c-sections this lady had out of nine kids, her lady parts just refused to be zipped together again due to scarring and infection - which is probably the best possible outcome.
I got some advice as a kid. Having children should be the last item on your 'things to do ' list. Get an education, travel the world, have lots of friends and a job you love and a wonderful life first. Get married if you want to and protect your womb until someone has the honor of being the father of your children. Thanks mom.. mother of 8 to this mother of 3. Being great parents is what your precious child deserves. Being a parent is wonderful, but its hard work and its for life💞
I agree. Have fun, become the best version of yourself that you want to become. Then have kids. Maybe then you won't need to be a child when you have a child
My son has custody of his son and his son lives here Monday through Friday, due to his job...California isn't an affordable state and to switch from nights to days he loses so much money and can't keep his son in the way he wants to.. every single weekend, they are gone on adventures, every single vacation they are together, every single day off... he takes him to school every day and calls every night and emails the teacher weekly... he tries to make up for the mom not being a Mom...I always tell him just be the very best Dad you can be, don't worry about the rest. I don't mind having my grandson here at all during the week, he's got little friends all around him in our cul de sac so he's always playing and we have our routines and for now, this works. Sometimes it takes a village, and yes his mom's family is one million percent involved and we are one big huge family and I know how lucky we are. If it wasn't for NaNa not only being his grandma but a sister to me, I don't know where we'd be.
As someone who always had loving parents and extended family around, it really breaks my heart. Sending all my love out to those who didn't have that growing up.
I wouldn't know my dad if he walked up and shook my hand. But my mom was more than I ever could have asked for. We were very poor but I don't remember ever wanting for anything. And she loved the hell out of us. My kids are my entire world. So, like you, I can't understand how a parent doesn't have the maternal \paternal instinct to love their babies unconditionally and with their entire being. It's so heartbreaking.
I am a recovering addict and my mom is currently raising my 2 oldest girls HOWEVER I am very active in their lives and I am financially taking care of my kids because I spent the last 2 years allowing my addiction to control me I refuse to come in and up root my kids and have them move around MY schedule when they have friends and they have established lives where they are so I refuse to inconvenience my babies but I make sure I'm there and they know I love them and I am now the better me they deserve ❤️ to any grandparents raising grandkids you all are amazing ❤️
We adopted our youngest 3. All born exposed. It is not just an infant issue. It follows them throughout life. It destroys lives. Our children will forever struggle. I try to sympathize with our birth parents but on a hard day when my child is in pain and struggling I get so upset at the decision of the birth moms. They move on- the children do not.
I like to mention this to those who speak about NAS, as it is a very important topic and a chance to further educate those who can pass on the education and make a difference in children’s and families lives and safety long term. One important thing to realize with NAS, is that it is treatable today, and the reason this is important to realize is because most substances that cause withdrawal cannot safely be stopped during pregnancy, and have to be switched instead to a maintenance medication, such as Methadone. There is a much lower chance of NAS with this, 40-50%, and the withdrawal symptoms for the infant are much more mild than withdrawals from illicit substance use, and studies show that babies who do experience withdrawals post birth from a MAT pregnancy (Medication assisted Treatment) are extremely unlikely to have any negative long term effects of both the NAS and the MAT treatment in utero itself. The reason this is essential to know is because currently the leading cause of mothers in recovery jumping off of MAT while pregnant and relapsing (or the baby encountering severe issues or death due to withdrawals in utero) is from the stigma and misinformation surrounding NAS, the assumptions that mothers should stop use while pregnant to avoid NAS post birth, and anything other than that, anything that could lead to NAS is bad parenting, uncaring mothering, and selfish-it’s a very big problem. The issue is that if someone becomes pregnant while chemically dependent on a substance (such as opioids), then at some point the baby WILL withdraw. This is why MAT is the only safe option for a pregnancy while chemically dependent, because opioids are a unique substance (the main substance that causes NAS as I’m sure you know), in that the substance exposure itself is not what causes issues unlike other substances, instead the risks come from the withdrawals, overdose, consistently changing doses, and exposure to unknown dangerous agents within the substance used to cut it. MAT is necessary because continuing to use illicit substances Carries obvious risks, including worse NAS symptoms, and inducing withdrawal symptoms while in utero is extremely dangerous, the fetus is under developed, more susceptible to seizures, organ damage, placental abruption, spontaneous abortion, etc, and medical professionals have way of intervening, treating the NAS symptoms or monitoring the fetus while in utero. Therefore, MAT treatment, taking an opioid replacement medication throughout pregnancy, allows the fetus to receive a safe, regulated dose of the chemical it is dependent on, which prevents fluctuating levels, overdose risk, and withdrawal risk, it is time release meaning the levels stay much more regulated through the day, rather than a high peak that drops, it lowers the risk of NAS, as well as minimizing the severity of symptoms if NAS occurs post birth, and the risks of both the medication and NAS from the medication have shown to be extremely minimal, much less than things such carrying a child while or overweight, underweight, or diabetic, with most children who were exposed to properly used and prescribed MAT treatment having no long term issues. It also lowers the chance of illicit substance use from pregnant mothers by more than 60%, a very high number in comparison to the alternative.
I have been a foster parent to 5 children. After that, I was a member of a Citizen Review Board that reviewed foster care cases for the judge. It was important work (volunteer) but it was absolutely heartbreaking. When I would come home and hug my son tightly, he would say "oh gee you were in court again." Children are our most precious gift and we were only able to have one, so it was especially hurtful to have to listen to parents who obviously did not want to work to get their children. Many parents stopped showing up to meetings when they saw we were seeking termination of rights. Good case worker.

Heartbreaking that this breeder has done this 9 times with no maternal care whatsoever. She should be forced in some way to have her tubes tied. These children being born addicted in unspeakably horrible.

To think that 9 Brothers and Sister's brought into this World by one woman and several men will not be able to grow up in a loving home TOGETHER with stability is just heart wrenching for me. I'm sure they will be Adopted and raised by loving people but not ALL together. I'm from a loving family of 8 with beautiful memories of growing up all together. She’s “not having kids”, she’s just having unprotected sex and popping out another each time she gets pregnant. I’m sure any thoughts in her head go only as far as obtaining her next hit… and probably how she’s going to get the money for it. I’d bet the sex is probably associated with this endeavor. Why she’s not in jail for child endangerment is mind boggling.
One wonders if they would submit voluntarily. Years ago when I worked obstetrics a large number of the health department patients got their tubes tied, and were happy to be free of that worry.
@@lilolmecj you know these type of people would never volunteer for tubal ligation/permanent BC. The women who do are the responsible ones who understand the impact of not doing it. These types of women have no sense of responsibility and will keep popping out kids….
I had my tubes tied at 21. I had two beautiful children and for me that was plenty. I voluntarily had the surgery. I found her Facebook. It's really funny! In her bio it says "I'm a loving caring mother wife daughter sister I love working in the medical field I love my family". 🤣 awe!
Please tell me she doesn’t do home healthcare? How does she have a job or any type of life if she is not testing? I don’t know what state she’s in but it’s terrifying that people like her are walking around who’ve lost. What how many children? And no one’s testing this lady for drugs
I’m a foster parent. If you have any place in your heart and home to help a child feel safe, please consider fostering. Teens, especially, have a lesser chance of placement, but they are more self sufficient than little kids and babies and you could continue to work.
You can also apply to be a CASA worker. The child does not live with them, but they help the child by staying with their case, spending time with them, supporting them in transitions, and becoming a responsible adult to look up to, and rely on.❤️
I actually thought the mother's attorney didn't fight as hard as he could for his client. His questioning of the CPS worker was a bit weak. I've seen some attorney's really go at the caseworker and question their allegations, show the CPS' bias, and challenges supposed contacts. Honestly, if the CPS worker REALLY wanted to find the mother to give her a heads up, she could have found her. But, I get it - she's super busy and she seems to have a soft spot for the baby/foster mom. She received no response from that home address or phone number in the past, so what OTHER ways did she attempt to let the mom know a VERY IMPORTANT hearing was going down and she needed to be in court?
@@MissTXTee You're defending the indefensible. If the mother gave a shit, she'd have made contact with the worker and her attorney, and she'd have shown up for court. 🤦♀️
@T M the mother had sooooo many opportunities to make her own case..by consistently going and testing negative for drugs, visiting with her baby, staying in regular contact with the foster caregiver, and proactively taking parenting classes and NA meetings. Too stupid to use birth control so she just dumps them like trash! 9 kids 5 different fathers, she should be arrested. Her hump them and dump them strategy has to be stopped. It sounds cruel but an idiot that has done this should be sterilized because she has repeatedly proven herself unable to support or even care for a child beyond any doubt. So because she is a worthless POS that dumps the byproduct of being a HO for the state to have to bear the costs and heartbreak of caring for these kids.
When my SW friends say that they have to go to court, I had no idea that this is what they were doing, and were so stressed about. This is ridiculous. And great job to this young lady. You would never guess that she's only been doing this for a year.
This is just a sad, sad story 😢. I really hope that whoever has chosen to adopt this baby is a loving, caring choice and I pray that this is the start of a happy, healthy new life.
Being a social worker is literally like serving our country in an emotional war. They are fighting for rights and they also have to fight to protect innocent ppl. I can only wonder what her drives home are like. God bless her truly❤ she is an angel.
This makes me sad because I'm 52 years old. And me and my ex-husband never were able to have children. And I've never had children before. I was only married once.. And I'm too old to have any now. And people like this just make me so mad there is so many of us That would love to have a child and cannot have one. And then these people do what they do, it's sad. I wish I even had 1 child would be enough for me. But with my age And me not wanting to be with another man again and never marry again. That would never be possible.
I watched a case where the dad had the child all through school year then went back with mom. mom moved kid to Florida with grandma because she couldn't take care of her and then said that the dad "is only a dad when he wants to be" and I just wanted to smack that lady bc like ISNT THAT WHAT YOU DID?!?!
I unfortunately grew up knowing about cases like this as the daughter of a CPS worker who retired after over 30 years of service. She’s been retired for years, but I thought these couldn’t be recorded? Our local counties deleted all zoom court videos the next day, or took them off of public assess. It’s important for people to see these, but I’m just curious.
I’m 37 years old and just had my first baby 6 months ago. I’m almost 3 years clean from a 20 year heroin and crack cocaine addiction. By the Grace of god there go I! My baby is the biggest blessing and the absolute love of my life!!!! I worked my ass off to get where I am today and it wasn’t easy at all! But it’s definitely possible and I fought so hard to get here that the devil himself is not gonna take this away from me. With that being said- everything happens for a reason and I’m glad that I didn’t have any babies throughout my addiction, but even so, I cannot fathom the idea of not wanting my child. It breaks my heart into a million pieces just thinking about it. 😢
Back in the day, I saw a verrrry pregnant 'woman' smoking meth. I was in a drug house, without really realizing it because there was a full family living there, grandma in a rocker and all- no one looked like they were selling meth. I casually asked when she was due (I was about 19, not trying to get caught up in a scary situation). She was a couple weeks from delivery. If I remember right, she was 21- and it was her 5th child... all had been taken at birth. She said, seriously, "My kids are all tight. They have each other's backs." Uh. The oldest was probably 5. What I didn't understand was how SHE wasn't in custody... I think about her now and then.
The few states that do criminalize drug use during pregnancy have seen dire results, it has increased the risk to the babies, mothers are less likely to seek help to get sober out of fear, more likely to try to hide and have a home birth and avoid prenatal care out of fear, so not only did it not “deter” the issue, but it far worsened and still does worsen the issue. It is a massive failure. That’s why. We can be mad and upset and uncomfortable with people using substances while pregnant all we want, but if our goal is ultimately to help the children, we have to move our intentions from punishing the mother to what will truly help the child, because often the two don’t align
WOW! She had back to back children every year from 16 yrs on. Mom didn't have children's backs but expect 5 yrs old and under to have each other's backs? That is some twisted logic. AND did she think they were all in same household.? Disgusting.
I agree that some should never procreate! I raised my nephew. He was hiding under the kitchen table eating a loaf of bread in the middle of the night on his first night at my house because she didn't feed him regularly. She wasn't sending him to school because "he didn't want to go" according to her! When we went to court and they put her CPS file on the table, it made quite the thud. I had no idea it was that bad or I would have gotten him sooner! It was tough to do but he's WELL worth it!
There are many, many issues occurring before even coming close to needing a discussion regarding family preservation, wow! Priorities, Birth Control, addiction, rehab, education, termination of pregnancy and education on family planning are huge needs here, this mother is despicable, out of control and totally amoral..so sad, so typical, so avoidable
I am almost 4 years clean. However, I live with the guilt that I had a child placed in adoption due to me being on drugs, followed by me being sentenced to a year of jail time for possession. She's wonderful, safe, loved and nurtured. After I got and stayed clean, I got married, bought a home and have two children now. Neither of which have had any drug exposure, ever. I was afraid the guilt of my addiction and consequences would make it easier to stay a drug addict until I died. However, here I am. My local cps is very supportive of my recovery and have made a huge positive impact on my life. With surprise gifts, letter of praise and face to face hugs in public. Addiction is hard. But if you want the help, it's there. Just gotta fight for recovery as hard as you can as if your life depends on it. Because it does.
I had a young man in my care for 3 years and laid eyes on his mother twice. That young man left my home at 20 years old and became addicted to drugs. Sadly he overdosed and died a year and a half ago. His mom made it very clear that I was not welcome at his funeral. I tried so hard to help him make changes in his life while his mom was in and out of jail and hoping from man to man. These videos make me so sad.
@@sarawoods7874 I have 3 sons. One moved in and became ours at 16yrso when his methed up mom decided she didn't want kids anymore. He was abandoned by his dad as a toddler who chose drugs over him too. Between the PTSD and his autism, it's been tough. He's doing okay. I have 2 other sons that are adults also now. I worry and pray about one of them and the decisions he's making every single day. We love them, instruct them, and try to show them God has a great plan for them ... but Mama at the end of the day we have to love them enough to let them go be adults. You did right by him. I was stuck in a Miami ER. Due to these little charades, by drug addicts, to obtain pain medication for bogus reasons, I waited 9 hours, with a total bowel blockage [proven by a MRI] because they assumed I was just trying to hustle pain meds. I had to fly to another state for treatment. I wouldn’t let my cat be seen by a facility in Miami. The staff just assumed I was a drug addict and refused me treatment.

Gotta feel for Mr. Radcliff. He's got a tough job trying to advocate for THESE "parents".... he had nothing to work with and I'm sure he knows the children shouldn't be with those parents but legally he HAS to do everything possible to try and keep the parents involved. That's gotta create internal struggle.
Judge Lockwood tends to be so soft on parents, but he is fair and logical. I like him a lot... it's nice to see him being unforgiving when the situation calls for it.

Who are you referring to? If it's the mother she's required to, as is the father, they've ignored the order, they don't care, that's why this is a termination hearing as it says in the thumbnail, the judge called for both parents 3x each in the beginning, what are you watching?

Holy Meth. Beautiful. This is the best thing that could happen out of all this misfortune. This child will grow up happy, healthy, loved and in a stable home. One day he can watch this and hopefully appreciate his “adoptive” family even more, and see what a fighter he is!

@@Swissmiss8899 I understand, but I guess there are so many things that show me there is a God, like the birth of a child, that I no longer question that. I just question His ways, sometimes.
Maybe you would actually really suck at parenting but because you struggle , you have a false sense of it being unfair and you being superior to others. 🤷♀️
As someone in recovery, some women think pregnancy will get them sober. They may have stopped during previous pregnancies. However, the more children and age of the mother make this less likely. The addiction keeps going, and the affects on the children are more likely the more babies born. Pregnancy is like a geographical cure for some women. They just bring the addiction with them, and now they're affecting another innocent human being.
I’m so glad that this poor little boy has someone who loves him & wants to adopt him I only hope that the other 8 poor kids find a loving families too!! It’s hard to argue against forced contraception or sterilisation in cases like these when the parents have absolutely no interest in their children!!
I had to sneak in my little boy's room to kiss him while he's sleeping and messaged my eldest off at college after watching this. I had a hard time when they just went off to church camp for 5 days. How could any parent be so uncaring towards their babies. 😥
I adopted my kids who were my foster kids, brother n sister who were 3 n 6 at gotcha day, 5 n 8 on afoption day. I have the oldest 2 of 6!!! Suffered for 6 yrs trying to get prego after my oldest son was born. Rhese parents never suffer infertility issues. They are MY children, not theirs. My 2 are grown now n have let them read the court papers what happened n why the judge decided the way she did. I dealt wit drug exposure, reactive attachment disorder, mental illness...i fight eithin myself so much to not hate their dna donors for what my kids suffer with still....
33:32 Exactly! They’d be excuses!!!! I’m a foster parent, to a precious baby, and I’m dealing w/ a similar situation. In my experience, when drugs are involved, it’s rare that a parent chooses their child, over their drugs. For some who say children are resilient, I beg to differ. I see the daily effects of trauma, that the baby still endures daily, and he was placed w/ me at 7 months old. He only weighed 13 lbs, and was basically starved. He didn’t even cry, we had to reinforce crying w/ an immediate response of tending to his needs. It took a lot of time, but he now cries when he has needs. It sounds small, but that was a huge breakthrough.
Guess they've got to be specific for the record. They could have summed that up. Certainly with a few questions. Since they haven't been compliant at all. Since January 2022 didn't take 100 questions. When they stopped being compliant.
I wonder if the parents walked away because they knew it was in the best interest for the child. I like to hope that’s why, I can’t wrap my head around it being any other way. I’m very happy for the adoptive family but I’m heartbroken for the child to grow up to learn about this, that’s just so unfair. I hope all nine of those children are living the best life they can ❤
There are well over 5 million grandparents raising their grandkids due to addiction.
Good job and high five to your grandchild!

Hugs. She made the most loving choice she could make. I have great respect for biological mother that make the tough decision.
The fact that she has done this 9 times, should be considered criminal, and she should be charged accordingly
Should of made her tie her tubes
She should be sterilised too
Completely agree!
Ty for sharing not often you hear positive stories of foster ppl
@@littlelowa8720 you're right, it's not often we hear stories about great foster parents but they're out there and thank goodness for that.
My grandmother and her siblings spent their childhood in a similar home. It was a wonderful place. I’m glad you had a good experience as well. ❤

Your friends had to have background checks to hangout outside of "them" home? That makes no sense whatsoever, but if you're trying to say your friends had to have background checks to hangout outside of THEIR home, there's no way that's true and it still makes absolutely no sense.

The story would truly have a perfect ending if the mother had a forced hysterectomy…
This is absolutely heartbreaking. Sadly, I think it is more common than we realize
It is very common, babies in withdrawal from meth, or heroin, or other opiates in hospital nurseries, saddest thing, very difficult to watch

It’s so widely rampant it’s disgusting

I don't mind having my grandson here at all during the week, he's got little friends all around him in our cul de sac so he's always playing and we have our routines and for now, this works. Sometimes it takes a village, and yes his mom's family is one million percent involved and we are one big huge family and I know how lucky we are.
The fact they're not engaging with the worker at all but more importantly not seeking anytime with their child shows they don't care whatsoever.
Maybe we should make people pass a test to bear children.

To think that 9 Brothers and Sister's brought into this World by one woman and several men will not be able to grow up in a loving home TOGETHER with stability is just heart wrenching for me. I’m a foster parent. If you have any place in your heart and home to help a child feel safe, please consider fostering. Teens, especially, have a lesser chance of placement, but they are more self sufficient than little kids and babies and you could continue to work.
You can also apply to be a CASA worker. The child does not live with them, but they help the child by staying with their case, spending time with them, supporting them in transitions, and becoming a responsible adult to look up to, and rely on.❤️
Sad case again but sounds like the baby will have a loving family and a good home ❤

The parental attorney has a difficult position to be in. But I wish there was more focus on the father. He was involved in this too.
There's going to be a second trial for his rights to be terminated. That's why they haven't spoken much about him.
