I’m curious what color and brand of blue you used for the sky in the first painting? The watercolor blue I used (Daniel Smith French ultra marine ) shows a lot of graininess and not the wonderful depth of color you achieved. Also, I’m guessing you finished with gouache? Amazing realism in this painting and I really appreciate you showing your process. Painting clouds is my passion. ❤

Since it was a long time ago, I don't remember exactly, but it was probably ultramarine deep mixed with cerulean blue. Each brand has its own strengths and weaknesses. I mainly use Holbein, and to achieve the desired color, I mix white paint or use paint directly from the tube. For the finishing touches, I used white tones, which might give a gouache effect.
