More context for the survival show: - Chan was given the opportunity to pick which JYP trainees he wanted for a Kpop group. Once they won out against a competing potential Kpop girl group, the survival show was to see if all 9 of them could debut without any of them being kicked out for “not being debut ready” - This was really hard on Chan since he hand picked all of them and felt responsible. And the group had to write songs, make choreography, and put on performances for the duration of the show. (Matryoshka has a performance from the show since it is a 3RACHA pre debut song) - Minho (Lee Know) was eliminated for, I think his singing skills and Felix was eliminated because he wasn’t fluent in Korean. - I don’t know what happened behind the scenes, but at the last second JYP brought Felix and Minho back and thank god he did. Can you imagine Stray Kids without Felix’s deep voice?

At this point you should watch their predebut, stray kids reality show. The story of their hardwork before debut, when Bang Chan assembled his own team for the first time, and it shows a lot of 3RACHA's producing skill. It really feels like reading a very good shonen manga. But I think not all episodes available on youtube... OH also you should watch 3RACHA X JYP Pre-TALK, you can see how 3RACHA are basically an independent producing team who pitched all of their tracks and their own concept for their next album (MIROH at the moment) to JYP himself (founder of their label). And maybe next time, just make a whole album listening hahaha because for me, stray kids is one of the music group that can create a really meaningful and well-curated album concept, and it's rare these days to be able to listen all of the tracks in an album perfectly from intro to outro.

The fact that they could perform at that level, before they even debuted, was mindblowing, and at that point they really set the bar for rapping in 4th gen K-pop groups.
