- Hello world, In this video, we will learn how to create realistic 3d looking vector shaped background in Illustrator using Mesh tool.
Here I made a background for a poster about Cavers Camp. That shapes also look like overlapping cave walls. Isn't it? but you can come up with anything you like. try various colors & shapes.
But Just remember, USE THE COLORS WISELY. Subtle gradients will do the charm. Choose the color scheme according to your theme. A tip right here, take three nearby hues shades. Just as I did. Dark Purple, Dark Reds & Oranges.
There are endless possibilities. Just dive.

Those are simple rectangle shapes filled with solid colors. It makes easier for both. Viewers & me. You can put those hex codes in color panel.

Oh gosh, the music again!
Why would I do this in illustrator? I could do it in 1/4 of the time in Photoshop. I’m not trying to be a smart ass I’m just wondering why you would do this in illustrator?
Because Illustrator LET me use Pentool the way I want. But In Photoshop, Path Editing sucks.
I prefer Illustrator. And I love it.
Second Reason is I wanted to show the use of the Mesh Tool. :)
Because it's vector and therefore can be transformed without losing any quality
Quality is second thing. First one is it is Vector Editor. That is why.
Duh, ok 👍 I feel a little stupid.
Lynn Early Don't . Know you know and that's a win.
