Genuinely a fun game for anyone thinking about buying it. You kind of forgot about stuff by just exploring and completing side quests or missions. Gameplay feels smooth. Gg!

Absolutely loving this game. Does it do anything groundbreaking? No but it’s fun and what is here is done very well. The story (those who know the story of the manga know that is good) but the new story added is way better than I expected it to be so far. For those that like vehicular combat though i recommend checking this out if you have the chance even if it’s something you are waiting on a sale on check it out at some point. Yes reviews and many have said that the melee combat is basic and I have to agree as much I’m enjoying this game but the bulk of the combat is vehicular. Making them upgrading them (and the parts) switching and swapping out and being able to swap at will to fit the combat situation is just fun.
Also I’ve seen many comments on the internet say the demo didn’t grab them. I can understand that but please don’t let the demo alone be the deciding factor. The difficulty is a question mark for some I respect that even I bumped it to hard (and the bosses have been challenging for me although I admittedly should have upgraded more) but to me this is a game to have fun with and wasn’t meant to be hard game to bash your head in at various points that’s just my opinion but the enemy ai can be stupid lol. Point is if you are a fan of akira toriyamas works and like vehicular combat in your games please check this out when you have the chance if you haven’t. Is a fitting farewell from Toriyama San.

Need dlc, side quests are better than continued story
I have to say the side quests have really surprised me I understand they are basically fetch quest, kill this. Objectives but the rewards add to the progression meaningfully and the little side stories for the side quests really add to the world of sandland. I can’t speak to your point of it needi no dlc or a better continued story though I haven’t finished the main story yet lol but I wouldn’t mind meaningful dlc if the namco decides to give the devs the resources and green light. For me that would be bonus though loving what the game offers

I'm beyond complaining I'm getting used to the issues. I love this game but. Ease of use went way out the door they need to update patch and change so much. Like small information that's important while the rest of the screen is taken up by a picture of a damn screw

Can someone please help explain the charm, allure and quality of this game. Only having bought it and played a solid 10+ hours all I’m seeing is a nice looking but soullessly empty sandbox full of repetitive battles, uninspiring storyline, questionable vehicle combat, dull rinse and repeat crafting upgrades and so much damn repetitive dialogue it’s close to driving me crazy! Seriously, I thought Aloy could go on but these guys literally have the same conversations for hours on end whether it’s warnings about diving headlong into battle without a headcount, watching your step with various tricky terrain, informing me of imminent attacks I’ve already counterattacked and just recently,y urging me onwards to find the legendary spring after I’ve already found it …
… now, I’m hitting infinite dead ends trying to “drive south until you can’t go any further” and just reaching impassable checkpoints and thus the same enemies spawning ad nauseum amidst a cavalcade of “yes, Shiva, you’ve told me already!”
Yes, I’m tired, probably older than I admit and super stressed with other things right now but I just want to unwind with a bit of light fun anime knockabout silliness instead of this sandstorm of frustration.
So, what AM I missing? Please feel free to help a poor old stressed gamer!

I think some people just age out of gaming. I'm 43 and am having some of the most fun gaming I've had in 35+ years, while other people my age are unhappy, over critical, and simply just not having fun gaming anymore.
@@airdrighmor1439 Well, I’m coming on 50 and have had a superb time of late with Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3 and even Dave the Diver hence my frustration and confusion over why this acclaimed game is leaving me so damn cold. I’m still very much a gamer who wants to enjoy multiple genres but after taking a risk with this I’m currently wishing I hadn’t hence the call for others to ‘assist” me in finding the heart and soul of this game amidst the dull design, flat structure and inane dialogue repetition!

Yes, feel sorry for me all you want as I frankly don’t care but don’t just fob me off with a simple “you miss everything” Try a bit harder and EXPLAIN everything I’m missing so I can either tell you nothing has changed or, hopefully, have a momentary revelation and get back to exploring and enjoying this game. This is what social media is for after all … being social and not just spewing out a few words of underdeveloped contempt! Go on, try it, you might just like it 🥴
