Prannaam Alok da
When you say personal mukti is a selfish act, is not wrong when a person who is already in bondage within and without, as any outside person or a situation or thing can make his interiority in happines is distress. Is it not ultimate slavery. And with that we begin to act in the world and will create even more chaos than inner freedom. Even if the inner intent of the person is for doing good but every act is coming out from very limited persona and limited identity not from the very core of his being or his divine nature will only do harm to the world just like a lunatic person in asylum trying to help other lunatics in the asylum which will only accentuate the misery. So why one must not emphasis to wake himself from his eternal sleep and work for his own freedom first, than only should act. If a person has locked himself in the prison created by him only and then acting in the world increasing his bondages rather his priority should be to come out of the prison first. I understand that the very thought of aspiring for mukti is coming from personal ego. But is it not right thing to ask for after lifetimes of entanglement and dying a unfulfilled life over and over and over again. O divine let be a life of fulfillment and inner freedom and not again entangled to the ultimate slavery and bondages created by my false made up self.
That one should be free from Ignorance is well understood and as long as mukti is understood in this sense rather than a withdrawal from action in the world it is of course the first step. Unfortunately it has come to be too much associated with the idea of freedom from the cycle of birth and death, and as a corollary, too much with the idea of vanity of the world and its illusory nature. There are very few people like you who would associate it with a prelude to true action in the world.
At the same time it is not that action done through those in a state of bondage is necessarily bad or waste. There have been quite a many historic figures, scientists, statesmen, warriors, kings, industrialists, commoners whose contribution to the good of the world cannot be forgotten. The Divine can and does use anything and everything as His instrument in the world. This too the seekers after mukti today have largely forgotten giving an impression that a seeker after mukti should not be much concerned about the world-game. All that is needed for him is to limit his action to the fulfilment of his worldly duties while preparing himself for an other-worldly salvation.
Both these attitudes have done much harm to the Divine Purpose in the world. This is what Sri Krishna and Sri Aurobindo correct that work in the world, even a powerful world action, ghor karma, is consistent both with a seeking for freedom from Ignorance as well as continuing after the inner liberation is attained.
@@AuroMaa thank you for such a enlightening answer
Thank you 🙏🏼
Honourable sir, I’m not a Hindu or I’m not an Indian but I bow to spirituality of India which I I immensely experience. I enjoyed my time in varanasi, Ujjain, jaganath puri, Himalayas and culcatta.
Your openness and wideness indicates that you have gone past the stage when one defined oneself with one's religion and nationality. It requires an inner sensitivity to feel the vibrations of the places you mention. The fact that you could feel it is a sign of being open to the spiritual consciousness.
Jai Ma, so beautifully narrated with interesting anecdotes ,humor and knowledge 🙏

All these past history, mythological intentions are already transformed by Lord Prabhu Sri Aurobindo.....
All was in Shree Krishna and Sri Aurobindo is in All.
Namaskar Dada for your experiences, but we have to back and keep away from such gathering and crowded vibration.... There are many chances to fall into ditch....

Dear Sir, I visited India in 2023 and went to Haridwar, Rishikesh, Nainital for a little break from Delhi... and found that the place was full of rubbish, the facilities were not up to standard, the general consciousness of people is not at a level where they can keep these places sacred and pure.
These are beautiful places but look at the rubbish that is thrown in all of these places... We should be honest about the state of this country, a RADICAL shift of consciousness is needed ... Please try to understand that we need to Change and Heal... and Grow and Develop!!!
I agree that public hygiene and collective discipline which is so important to cleanliness of public places. In the talk i was referring only to the Mahakumbh. Many have remarked about the unusual cleanliness of the river and the roads in the Mahakumbh given the enormous crowds coming there. In retrospect, one reason could be the use of biodegradable, leaf plates (pattal, dona) and earthen cups as was the practice in India before paper and plastic plates and cups came in. I suppose these blend with nature and don't get easily noticed.
Varanasi ghats were much cleaner, a striking contrast from my last visit in late nineties. I don't know about Haridwar. I visited in 2009 whence it was dirty but the Ganga and the Arti was evocative of deep feelings which probably made it not so noticeable. And while civic sense is very much still sadly missing in India, despite the current government efforts (old ways die hard) but the change is palpable. Yet the speciality of India and its power to cleanse the heart and soul is very much intact and it is such a wonder to see that men with a living faith in the Divine manifesting through the rivers, mountains, trees, plants and animals are still there. I am sure it won't take long to catch up with outer cleanliness as well which is no doubt, integral to the total harmony that we seek.
